SCAM, don't give them anything.

The Police Protective Fund is a scam. They claim to be providing assistance to the families of police officers slain in the line of duty, but in reality, they are a shell company for another organization, the vast majority of the money goes into the pockets of the CEO and his cronies. They have been under investigation for many years. They get 0 points (out of a possible 70) from Charity Navigator.

ID Thief, hung up when asked who was calling
 Feb 06th, 2013
The Police Protective Fund called several times in 3 days and never left a single message...just silence, not even a recorded message. It is not only a scam, it is harassment. Will somebody with time and energy bring them down...They called back when I first called their # back and asked them not to call and told them they were in violation of the Fed'l Do Not Call Registry or List...

For a scam that makes millions in millions -- and only gives law enforcement a tiny fraction of this -- it is surprising they are able to really harass people, without consequences. And now, they are just calling and hanging up -- after being told to "cease and desist."

I've got too much going on, or I'd pursue a lawsuit. They are calling me -- repeatedly -- and hanging up, in the name of law enforcement. What SCUM.

This is a telemarketing company asking for donations for Law Enforcement Officers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty. However, they want you to make a commitment over the phone and if you want further information they request a "donation" for the information.
