This is not the "real" company that has the Medical Alert pager system. It is a marketing company that "thinks" people will subscribe to it, using the real company as a template. Do not fall for their sleasy and frightening phone scenario. Report it to the FTC and/or your State Attorney General. The actual company is located in Turlock CA and does not resort to these tactics. Try calling the FTC hot line and file a verbal complaint at 877-382-4357.

A recorded message from a man (with what sounded almost like a New York accent!) saying it was a public service announcement and to listen carefully because he was going to keep me out of a nursing home. Had I seen the commercial where the woman fell down and couldn't get up? I'd had enough by then and just hung up. Very annoying.

Said it was a "public service announcement" in the beginning of recording, and then advised to "dial 1" to purchase Medic Alert. Very forceful tone insisting that the ONLY way for the elderly to be safe is to wear the Medic Alert necklace. Scare tactics in very poor form.
