I receive a call at least once daily and when I answer there is no reply but my cell phone immediately starts ringing from the same caller. I've tried calling the number back and get a message to leave a number and they will call back. I don't think I have to worry about the call back thing. I'm on the national and state do not call list but that is no deterrent for these pest.
The only started after I went into was DeMontrond and all I gave them was my home phone. I refused to give out my cell phone number. One more bad experience with this dealership.
I too had a very negative experience at Classic Ford in Columbia. Totally dishonest. Don't know how they stay in business. Hope they go under soon. I know they gave my number out, but the surveyor hung up. Too bad!
They called to make sure that I was taken care of during my visit. It was not a marketing call...it was a survey call that the owner of the dealership wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. It only took a minute or so to do. I did have an issue with the way the sales staff treated my wife. I received a call from the dealer the next day and they made it right, apologized and we got the car we wanted. I am glad they called.
Got information on this phone number from this website. Recently had personal information divulged to unwanted parties during custody case. Second automobile company I have received a phone call from in the past three hours. 1)Both companies are in cities within my state but nowhere close to where I live, 2) I DONT OWN A CAR, and 3) I have not been shopping for a car.
Cold call, left no message.
went to see a Honda on Sun, here it is Monday get a call on my cell. I did not answer since it was an unfamiliar number and I was driving (ring tone lets me know). No message and no, I did not say they could call me.
I know this came from unauthorized customer follow-up via my cell phone from Rockwall Ford, Rockwall, TX. I am not happy being called on my private phone without authorization and will no longer do business with Rockwall Ford and have let them know as much.
They are probably calling to do a survey on your experience at a dealership. Your opinion is taken seriously by the dealerships who hire survey companies. If you had a bad experience, take a few minutes to do the survey and you can help the next customer have a much better experience.
I bought a Nissan car from June. I got calling for this number 2 or 3 times a day from customer service of Nissan. I already ask them to drop my number from their phone list but they still keep calling me. The sell-man was really good but customer service of Nissan is bad. I am not happy with the way they calling me like this.
I will contact with BBB if they keep calling me 2 or 3 times a day.
Called my cell phone today, didn't leave a message. From the other posts I'm sure it's telemarketing for auto industry. Visited with two dealerships last couple of days. Wish I would have known they planned to give out my cell phone number - they wouldn't have gotten it.
I left my cell number with Classic Ford in Columbia, SC when I shopped for a car the last two evenings. It's the ONLY place I left my number because I thought I was buying a vehicle from them. Just 60 minutes later, this number is on my caller ID, no message was left. Oh, and I WANT to get surveyed on my experience. It was about the worst experience I have had buying anything. Fortunately, I could just walk out - and did. Very misleading folks there at Classic Ford. Now I have to deal with cell phone SPAM calls? Ugh.
South Carolina May 27th, 2010
. talked to a supervisor named Kenneth. he found out which car dealer had given out my cell phone number, and from what day the visit had been made. salesman had apparently looked up number from paperwork on truck bought new in 2007, because gave this salesman land line number. Kenneth agreed to remove my cell phone number from their data base. then told him i would take their survey since i was already on the line and had nothing better to do. he connected me with one of the survey people, and i really dumped on the dealer and the salesman for looking up my cell number.
incidentally, Kenneth said his people are to leave messages if they think they reached a land line, but no message if they are sure they got a cell phone, so as not to burn up peoples minutes. that seems pretty considerate to me.
the number belongs to Consumer Auto Reports. we have been car shopping; i assume the calls are related to that. They call everyday, multiple times.
I called them back after they called twice and left no message.Recording says it is Consumer Auto Reports, that all lines are currently busy and they will call back.No idea who or what they want but I am not buying.
I work for Fowler Ddge in OKC This number is (car research)what we call the CRM it is a company that maintains our database. Many dealership use it. Part of their job is to call our customers randomly to make sure they had a good visit with us either through service or sales. It is a follow up call to ensure that the dealership you visited did their job correctly and properly. I only know this number because they called me recently after I purchesed my vehicle from here. Just goes to show they do not discriminate they call the employees as well. I do appolagize for the inconvenience that this may caise to anyone out there that has visited a car lot lately!
Visited South Point Auto (dealership) in Austin on Saturday.
Gave the salesperson my phone number.
Have gotten several calls from them today (Monday) ... they never leave a message.
Called once so far. Didn't answer their call - didn't leave a message. Left my number with a salesman at Fowler Dodge in OKC telling them to call me back when they had the truck I was looking for. Consumer Beware.
These folks have been calling my company cell phone all day today!
Ruben Kilber at 713-398-1686
is the owner.
I had nothing better to do today so I went ahead and shopped for some vehicles for him online and gave his name and number for the contact info. I did this about 20 times at different dealers all over town.
These A-Holes call me all day every day. I would be on the phone with them and they would be calling me on the other line. They would call and ask the same question even after I answered them. Sorry MFers!!!
The company's name is CAR Research,Inc. They are telemarketers in Houston, TX. They got your number from your car dealer.
Call them at 800-376-5918
and tell them to stop.
Better yet, call the car dealer that sold you out and take your anger out on him.
Got a call from this number after a tough negotiation with Courtesy Nissan in Richardson, TX.
I was very busy and asked for a call back number before supplying it they continued to explain to me how they weren't with the dealership but was with "Consumer Reports" and I said, "that's fine but I can't talk right now" (was on a conference call at work) and she apologized and hung up without giving me a number...
Thanks for this post. Now I know it was more bull from the dealer.
Called 4 times today, several times yesterday. When I answered there was no response. I have entered a complaint with the Oklahoma Attorney General for violation of the DO NOT CALL law.
this is a marketing group that works for car dealerships. I called a local dealer and asked about truck prices 8 months ago for my dad. Gave the dealer my cell number to call me back with a final quote...wasn't interested. Now for 8 months i get one call a week with a pre-recorded sales pitch from the dealer. This is sent by an automatic dialer (telemarketing phone system). If the "answering machine detection" isn't set properly it won't leave a message. It also won't always respond to a voice properly depending on the way you answer. Lastly, if they're making more outbound calls than their agents can answer, there will not be an agent available when they reach you and you'll hear silence. I sadly admit I know this because I have managed these systems in call centers. Report the calls to the FTC if you're in the national do not call registry. I will NEVER do business with David Stanley Dodge in Oklahoma due to them sending my number to this group and telemarketing me. I have called and screamed at the dealer about this to no avail.
calls 6 times aday no message.
Car related Survey, at Houston.
Consumer satisfaction survey for dealership where I had my car serviced.
Called my cell phone first. Caller ID showed ph # that I didn't recognize. So I didn't answer. Then they called my home immediately after so I could see the "Consumer Rappor" name. Left no message on answering machine.
And yes, I did visit a car dealership recently. So maybe it's car dealership marketing like some of the other posters here say.
They call me 3-4 times per day. The little gal speaks only ebonics. Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge sicked her on me. I wonder why Chrysler had to shut down their factories for a month. This is the only industry that can perpetually crap on their customers and survive. I hate dealerships and this only supports my belief in buying used from individuals.
kept calling, would never leave a message, internet showed abuse caller to a 13 year old
Its a car dealership, I recently bought a car, they are doing a survey thing, not anything to worry about.
Very annoying. They kept calling even at midnight!
Consumer Rapport called me up about Ancira Jeep in San Antoio Texas about customer service there. I told them to remove my phone number from their list.....
From what I've read this is a number that relates to car dealerships (post visit survey). Sure enough, I just bought a new truck on Tuesday, and this number called me today. They did not leave a message.
They just called my cell twice in the last 3 hours. Of course I did not answer either time and they left no message. I called from my business phone and asked the name, it is Consumer Rappor. As I was hanging up the guy screamed what is your name...
I had my truck worked on at Toyota on 2 days ago. They are calling to do a "survey". No thanks! If I wanted to participate in a survey, I'd call you...
Thanks Pie Man - should have researched this site a week earlier. Too busy looking the phone number up in verizon's website and got nothing and liked it! First, my husband and I haven't walked into a dealership in the last 5 or 6 years. I can only assume that where we service our vehicle gave out our number and let me tell you I get calls anywhere from 11:30 PM to 3:30 AM. Called them once when it first started and they swore they did not have our number or name on their database - HA! They're calls have been coming into my house everyday for the LAST TWO WEEKS!!!! The sad part, there isn't anything any of the agencies I called can do! So I will continue to make calls to the nuisance bureau, state attorney general's office, do not call registry and the Federal Trade Commission!!!! It's going to get to a point where I'm going to have to take my phone off the hook - it's gotten so bad! If anyone out there has information where I can call and continue my Complaining Campaign - drop a line at this site. I will check back at this site again! Thanks!
called my cell phone at noon today, no message. called my home phone just now, no message, then called my cell phone almost immediately, no message. We did go car shopping yesterday but did not give any phone numbers, must have looked me up using my drivers license. I will not give that out again.
purchased a new Nissan and got a call to see how the service was.
Phone was ringing when I came in the house, by the time I got to it they had hung up.
On answer machine "please hold for an important announcement". Who is this?
I missed the first three calls to my cell phone, but when I answered the fourth time there was no one on the line.
I went to Sterling McCall Nissan on Saturday and got a call from this number today. I find it odd that I specificalyl told the guy I was taking to not to give out my number, and he said "I am not going to bother you at all with this." I guess I failed here, because technicaly, he isn't calling me, somenoe else is. I also guess Sterling McCall will not be getting my business as I had planned to go back this week and finalize a purchase.
quick side note (an add-on to my previous message). what's so bad about a company trying to take a quick survey to find out if their staff treated you well on your last visit to their dealership. they're only trying to make your experience and their business better. remember, it's a competitive world out there.
not every unknown caller is a villain!
ps: i love this site by the way. helps me out with so many #s i don't recognize.
thanks everyone here for your contribution.
they wanted to do a quick survey regarding my recent maintenance visit to a local toyota dealership. it's harmless (and only took less than a minute). they called my house #, but could have easily called my cell if the dealership had that on file instead.
nothing to worry about!
ps: they don't leave a message because no one ever calls a research co. back to complete a phone survey :) their best bet is to keep calling. they only get paid if they talk to you live.
Per the website link Pie Man provided (thank you), here is the owner's information.
" Ruben Kilber at 713-398-1686
or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org . "
I plan to bombard him with emails and phone calls. I don't ever want a marketing firm calling my cell phone.
Hung up when I answered. I recently visited a Mazda dealership. This is what gives car dealers a bad name
has been calling my cell for days
This number keeps calling on my cell phone. We just went to a car dealership last Saturday. Is it the car dealership marketing dept.?
Went to a Ford dealership last night, got a call today.
They called my home several times a day. Now they are calling my office several times a day. They hang up every time after I picked up the phone. One time when I picked up the phone, the girl on the other end was talking to her co-worker "we could get fired...". They hang up after noticing I have picked up the phone. I suspect that there is some kind of fraud going in this operation. They get paid for the number of calls they made. Area code 713 is in Houston, Texas. Somebdoy shoud refer the operation to Texas Attorney General's office to see if they can do something.
They called twice within a couple hours, first time they hung up when I answered and second time I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message
I recently visited a car dealership to look at cars - they called back from this number to do a satisfaction survey.
This is the Consumer Automotive Report. I called them and found out for you.
I am receiving several calls daily from 713-275-3575. Caller never leaves any messages.
When Called the number back Ms. Kimberly said: thanks for calling consumer automotive report.
They are a service hired by David Maus Toyota to do a service satisfaction survey.... I'm guessing other companies hire them too.
i have recieve random calls from this number last one was today
I have had very similar experiences with multiple calls from this phone number as those listed on this site. I will say, I recently visited a Toyota Dealership as well. I did not have car repairs done as I was looking for a new car.
from reading these reviews the only common thread is me visiting a toyota dealership.
spelling was "consumer rappor" must be trying to mislead for "consumer reports" heard of a scam weeks ago on tv about auto warranty service scams
this number is from consumer automotor report.
Our number is listed on the national and texas do not call registeries. We get 3 to 4 calls daily, which we refuse to pick up. I have reported them to the attorney general's office.
This number calls several times a day, so I finally googled it and found this site. I used the number someone else provided to call them back. They were calling because I recently had my car repaired at a dealership's body shop. They had a three question survey to ask and I was off in phone in about 2 minutes. (FYI - they asked if I was satisfied with the estimator, if I was satisfied with the shop in general, and if I'd recommend the shop to others who need the same or similar service).
This number calls me constantly. I *67 and called them back. Consumer Automotive Reports? I have no idea what this is.
I received a very strane voice mail message that really scared me from these people. I could barely understand it and it sounded like a threat, as the person was whispering and talking very quickly...
got the call on my cell today, didnt answer it than received a text message right after from verification @callwave.com. Not sure if they're connected but was a coincidence.
Received half a dozen calls in the last 2 weeks when I'm not home. I was home today and answered ... surprise ... no one on the other end.
I got a call from this number no message. wired.

Customer survey for dealers
i got a call from this number as well. i didn't answer because i didn't want to waste cell minutes. they didn't leave a message.
This particular number has called multiple times and yet in still refuses to leave a voicemail. This is lugubrious and irritating.
North Carolina Oct 10th, 2007
I got a call on my cell phone from this number this morning but missed it (they didn't leave a message). I had some work done on my Landcruiser yesterday at Toyota of Richardson. The service was terrible and they will be getting an angry call from me tomorrow for giving out my private cell phone number to another company after spending 5 hours screwing up my truck!
They answered as "car research"...
They called on my home phone and I answered but no one spoke, then they called my cell phone and didn't leave a message.
called me today at 10 am and left no msg. called it back and it said "callback line" leave a message
New Mexico Sep 08th, 2007
I called it back, it sent me to the answering service. When I pressed 0 for the operator, it said "Thank you for calling Car Research", and gave me multiple options. I never got a chance to remove my name from their calling list, bc I never actually talked to a person.
has been calling my cell at least once every 2 days
This number has been calling me for the past two days. As late as 8:30 and then starting at 9 this morning. I haven't answered yet.

This is Car Research, and your cell numbers are being given out by dealerships you visit. I just phoned my dealership (Fiesta Dodge) and clearly expressed my displeasure at my personal cell number being given out to a 3rd party. They have assured me they will get me removed from this list. It is suppose to be for people who shopped but didn't buy.......we bought, so they are clueless why we are getting calls, but at least they admitted they use this company. We'll see if the calls stop. What a ROYAL PIA.
I visited Bill Heard Chevrolet. and have received somewhere on the order of 50 calls from this number, Think I'm going to have my lawyer give them a call, it's very disruptive on my business cell phone to have so many missed calls while in a meeting.
Just called 713-275-3500
to be removed from their list. We'll see!
called me but was on another call. called back and leads me to a voice mail that says "call back line"
this # kept dialing me over and over every night so I posted their # on an automated call return site that should keep them flooded for some time....lets see how they like it.
They called on behalf of Spring Chrysler Dodge (I-45 north of Houston). After the 5th time in one day I got to the phone. It was about my 18,000 mile check up. I had warranty work done a few months back and they have me on file. Spring Chrysler Dodge has been impossible to deal with and now they hired a company to call me five times a day. I will no longer do any business with them. I hope all of you do the same. P.S. I currently have a transmission leak that is under warranty but they don't have the time. They would not even check my fluid level because they did not have time. It takes a special tool on my car to check it and I can't do it myself.
Received many calls on my cell from this number. I looked up their information in ReferenceUSA, a purdy nifty database if you can get access to it.

713-275-3575 is Consumer Rappor and is a survey company for service related businesses ie: car dealerships, stores you leave a # at etc.
We keep getting calls from this company (we bought a new car recently). We are on the DO NOT CALL registry so I've filed a complaint with them and also complained to AT&T. Probably won't do any good but I figure if enough people complain about them it may have some effect.
I had my vehicle serviced at the dealership the other day. This is a marketing firm trying to find out how you rate the service.
Have had several calls for last few days from this number, have not answered. Caller ID showed CONSUMER RAPPOR*.
the have called every day for two weeks straight. never leave a message. bought a car from lonestar pontiac buick gmc and also browsed at one at a ford dealer in OK. started shortly after the car shopping.
This number keeps calling my cell but does not leave a message
whoever this is has called me at the same time for the last 2 days. they didnt leave a message, and won't answer.
They have called me the last three days in a row. Answered and no one would say anything and hang up.
I simply test drove a jeep at the Rosenburg Jeep Dealership (located right outside of Houston)this Sunday. I recieved a call from the 713-275-3575 #. I called the 713-275-3500
# and talked with "Brandy". She informed the dealerships hire them to do this. I will DEFINITELY not buy anything from this dealership now. I did not go there to have my # given out for marketing purposes of any kind. They should at LEAST do the courtesy of asking you or informing the potential customer of this practice.
had car worked on at a toyota dealership last week. Since then they called twice, no message
yes, i recently visited both the toyota and nissan dealerships and i have received about 4 calls from this numbers but i did not answer until today.

Follow up phone call from a visit to an car dealership I visited.
