I am keeping a record of the date and times of the calls. If they continue, I will compile my
list and forward it to the Attorney General for Nevada-attention Reno (from which the calls
originate.) As a member of the Do Not Call registry, I think these calls are in violation of
laws governing members of Do Not Call. You might get better service if you reported it
to the Attorney General for Nevada rather than reporting it to Do Not Call Registry.org

It's the only way I know to insure that these people stop this kind of behavior.

I have been getting calls numerous times a day at both my cell phone and my home phone, which was just turned on two weeks ago when I moved into my new home. It doesn't matter what you press, the calls don't stop. I get calls from Rachel at Cardholder Services, and the one about my car warranty going to expire.

A minimum of 10 times I've asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on.

Scam, scam, scam: when I answered I was told "my warranty was running out on my vehicle and this was the last chance to respond". I pressed 9 and a body answered and when they asked how they could help me, I told them yeah, why are you calling me? They then hung up.

The recorded message made it sound like there was a vehicle recall, when I realized they were calling about a extended warranty, I pressed "1" to talk to someone. I was in the middle of tell JOEY that we are on the Do Not Call list and to remove our number and he hung up on me. I called the number back and believe it or not it actually went to a recording telling you to press "1" to have your number removed. It said they were sorry for any inconvenience and that they only "purchase" business numbers. Yeah ok, business numbers for extended warranties??? How do people actually do these jobs????? So far they have not called back, at least not from that number or the name Private Suite.

Message about car warranty, when I pressed 2 to be transferred to a rep, their was a second wait and the line went dead. You can report any of these calls to ftc.gov, but doing a *87 will stop them. Problem is it also stops your friends that might use calling cards or 800 numbers.

You can register a cell phone on the Do Not Call list. You can also file a complaint at this link (copy & paste if required) https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
For repeated calls, you can sue them in Small Claims Court AND WIN! Here is a link that can get you started: http://www.killthecalls.com/suing-telemarketers.html

Don't know what they wanted but from reading other posts I am guessing it is another version of the scam we have been getting via snail mail...our truck warranty is about to run out and it's a shady scam to try and sell me a renewal. Did GMC sell my info to some third party scammer? Two things...1: I have caller ID and NEVER answer calls I do not know and...2: Are there enough people still answering all these calls and buying into these telemarketers' scams that it is still profitable enough for them to continue sitting around on their butts dialing everybody with a computer? Sheeze....

"It would be a shame if the following happened to these companies:

50 people make calls to one of these companies from pay phones
Calls occur for 8 hours - conservatively, 2 calls per minute
Each call from a pay phone costs the company 50-cents
Cost to the company for one day would be $24,000
Cost to the company if this happened for one month is well over a half million bucks

I'm certainly not advocating this type of behavior as it would be illegal. It would remain illegal if 200, 300, or 1,000 people did the same thing. The poor folks at American Credit Counselors Inc 877-969-3328) would have a hard time staying in business with all those huge phone bills coming in each month. If they change their phone numbers, some crazy victims would likely know about it from wonderful forums like this."

Why would it be illegal? It's not illegal to call a toll-free number from a payphone. I think it's a good idea.

There are thousands of us "victims" who get dozens to hundreds of unsolicited calls from these pond scum companies. They constantly change company names, use new numbers frequently, use personnel and numbers from outside the US (making law enforcement nearly impossible) and do their best to make it difficult for law enforcement agencies to protect us.

It would be a shame if the following happened to these companies:

50 people make calls to one of these companies from pay phones
Calls occur for 8 hours - conservatively, 2 calls per minute
Each call from a pay phone costs the company 50-cents
Cost to the company for one day would be $24,000

If they change their phone numbers, some crazy victims would likely know about it from wonderful forums like this. But again, I certainly wouldn't advocate or condone any illegal activity - that just wouldn't be right. I wish nothing but success to my good friends at:

They called AGAIN!! I answered it this time!! It started off as a recording to renew my warranty on my car. At the end of the recording it said "push 2 to be removed or 1 to be connected to a representative" ... of course I pressed 1. I was connected to 'Maya' who asked me if this was "(my name)" I said yes. She asked me if I wanted to renew my warranty and I said "on which car? I have 4" She said do any of the cars still have dealer warranty and I said yes. She said wait for the tone...I heard a beep and a recording came back saying "you have been removed from the call list" GREAT!!! We'll wait and see when the next call comes thru...

I'm pretty pissed off. They keep calling and calling so I finally answered the phone to see what they wanted. I wanted to talk to a rep. to see what this was all about. The guy on the line the first time asked for my name, my address, and my car model. I gave him that info. Kinda wish I didn't...but I figure they can't really do anything with it..I hope. So when the next lady came on the line, she goes, okay I see you are looking into a waranty for your car. I was like well I'm not really interested in buying anything, I just want to hear what my options are. SHE HUNG UP ON ME! They better not call again. I actually hope they call again, they won't be happy when they hear from me. :) I just wish I knew how they got my number. Bastards.

These guys must be pretty slippery. Within a half hour of initiating my phone number transfer to Vonage, they called and it registered on my Vonage account. That's a neat trick because, two days later, my number is still with my original phone company and all calls to my number still go through to my voice mail service with my original phone company. Yet their call managed to get in to the Vonage system under my existing phone number. It seems to me that they're going the extra mile when it comes to pestering the public.

I have told the people at this number that I have no vehicle and to take me off the call list. They have not. I tried again and they hung up on me. It is obviously a scam trying to prey on the unsuspecting. I am offered a "second warranty" on my vehicle. Most people are going to recognize this as fraud because they either don't have a car, have a perfectly good warranty, or the warranty expired so long ago it would be ridiculous to get a new one. Some people though are going to give personal information or authorize credit transactions... DON'T DO IT. But, does anyone know where you can officially report this kind of thing?

I wasn't home and didn't answer. They obviously listened to my message and then hung on the line as it said I had a new message from 702-520-1131. Once again, a new number to block. It's ridiculous. All they are doing is phishing for information and to see if the number is in service. Don't answer if you have caller id and better yet if you have Call Intercept block their number. This way they can't get through anymore. I seriously have to say that Call Intercept/Call Block is a great service to have if you get a lot of these types of calls. Just Pookie's 2 cents...
