Caller left no message. Phoned number back and got recording stating that I received a call from a commercial marketer. Pressed button to be taken off their call list. We'll see if that works.
Credit Card Services wants to lower my interest rates! They obviously know nothing about me because they make a statement and then say "Right?" wanting me to confirm their erroneous assumptions. I would love to keep them on the line and screw with them, but it's not worth the time.
The real funny thing about these calls..they really believe people are THAT STUPID to give out their information over the phone to people that keep changing their number and don't identify themselves on Caller ID. They don't even tell you where they are located, so you can stop by and talk with them. They either have to be the dumbest crooks around or they really think people are THAT STUPID.
Knowing it was a scam, I played along for awhile. First signal that this was a scam? The "hello" at the start of the call with a thick foreign accent. No, company name, just hello. When I said hello, they said hello back (a second time). He then told me he could lower my interest rates. I said, what card? He said "visa". Visa? Really? Oh, my visa, which of the 4 that I have are you talking about? Click....
Filed complaint with the do not call registry. Recorded message saying "urgent information about your accounts" though I have no business with this company. Option to push 1 to talk to operator or 2 to discontinue getting calls. Guess what pushing 2 gets you? A live operator trying to get your credit card number! Scam.
Called my pay-per-minute cell, shame on them, with a number I have NEVER given to ANY company, just 3 friends. So they are dialing cell numbers AT RANDOM. Didn't recognize caller so didn't answer. Do they care? No, they left voice mail, so I ***STILL*** have to ***PAY*** to receive their garbage.
Supposedly "Account Services" calling about "your credit card" with "your last chance" to "lower your rates".
Please, please you bastards, just set yourself on fire. Please? For me?
I have blocked this same stupid company under 25 different phone numbers over the last 6 months. They claim to be able to lower your credit card interest rate. Not for me, they won't!

This number showed up on the caller id. No message was left.
This number called my cell phone but didn't leave a message. I get these kinds of calls on my landline all the time, but never on my cell, I was a bit surprised.
I press 1 to talk to a real person, when they come on the line I tell them I am sick of their calls, and then I SCREAM as loud as I can! get them off the line with an earfull, and relieves my stress!
OMG I am so sick and tired of these people. I've used up all my "blocked calls" spots on my phone service. Just got another one.

Credit Service call for fictional credit service; good luck with that; in this state we contact the FBI and FTC not AG office. You are on a rotating phone list sold by people that legally gather lists; congress does little to stop this from happening. All you can do is to ignore their phone calls and not listen to their nonsense. Credit companies allow what appears to be legal businesses to gain access to your information, and do not verify that the business is actually fake, and then desire to offer you credit protection for a fee. Yes, companies that you do business with are selling your information...it is not illegal. Many times, it can be as simple as you getting on a magazine list. It should be illegal but it isn't --you have to contact

Since the call was made to my cell, the number was sold to the scammer by the phone co. This is invasion of my privacy and I want my money back. ya good luck with that everyone says.
Same scam and today they called using 971-220-1980
as their caller ID. They hang up when you start asking any questions or you don't have at least $3000 in credit card debt.
Chicago Ed has it right. DO NOT give these boneheads any info, at the risk of having your credit ruined.

same as below. lower rates and working for bank etc.
Everything in this thread, apart from the stupid trolls, points to the credit reprice scam, also known as the ''Heather'' and ''Rachel'' calls. Steve was correct in suspecting the callers know both zip and nada about your finances and count on you to foolishly fill in the blanks.
See discussions for these numbers: 402-982-0479
File complaints with DNC, the FTC, and attorneys general. A mass of complaints helped the FTC choke off several credit reprice scammers in 2010. Individual action through a TCPA lawsuit would be a strong suggestion, if anyone manages to corner one of these scammers long enough.
It must also be noted, since Mr. Rennells mentioned it, that the DNC registry is not a sentry on duty and not a magic shield against every scammer, spoofer, or unwelcome caller in creation. It is a database and nothing more, which honest telemarketers must reference. Please do not expect career criminals with autodialers to respect such niceties as federal regulations.

I answered the phone and was greeted by a female voice on the other end claiming to be from my banks credit card services and stated that their records indicate that I've paid on time for the last 6 months and because of this I was eligible to have my interest rate reduced. Wanting more information I asked from which bank that they were associated with? The woman on the other end responded that she was associated with US Bank. She then asked me again if I wanted to lower my interest rate? I then told the woman that I don't own any credit cards. No sooner did I get those words out of my mouth did she hang up on me. Given the facts I can only but assume that this was a failed attempt to gain my personal information for identity theft.

I got a call from this number and I didn't answer it. They didn't leave a message either.
I am on the National DO NOT CALL list so why am I getting calls from these yo-yos?

Further information on the credit card calls - I've also logged the following numbers that they've used to call me:
I guess when they get enough complaints at one number they just sign on with another phone company.
Too bad the FCC or some other office doesn't read 'whocalled.us'
ID is WEIGHT LOSS
701 area code - Reported numbers in 1-701 area code
They are telemarketers operating out of Manila, Philippines and use an area code (701) Garrison, ND. They will try anything to get your Credit Cards or Bank ...

They're at it again! Recording: "We're calling to alert you to a problem with your credit card. Don't worry, we just want to lower your rates. Please press "1" to begin saving money now!" Cold calling, cold calling with a recording, calling in violation of the do not call list, presenting fraudulent caller id information... being dirtbags...

No message left. Caller ID showed number but no name (it said out of area instead).
