Some of the numbers I am complaining about today originate from landline companies: landline or CLECs (Competitive Local Exchanges) - identified via and include #253.753.9078 via International Telecom, Ltd - WA, Tacoma, WA (Equipment Location Code: STTLWAKGDS0); #701.248.1031/1035/1039/1048 via Qwest Corporation, a Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) in Minto, ND (Equipment Location Code: MINTNDBARS2); #360.322.6129 via International Telecom, Ltd - WA, Marysville, WA, (Equipment Location Code: STTLWAKGDS0); but some are via cell services: #702.705.5362 via Digitom Services, Wireless carrier,Las Vegas, NV (Equipment Location Code: LSVGNVXBXAY); #209.220.4118 comes via 33 Wireless, Inc., wireless carrier, Fresno, CA, (Equipment Location Code: FRSNCA0124T) HOWEVER- despite it's title as a wireless carrier, one WWW phone number ID service identifies this last number as a landline so, again, the companies may be weaving various switching systems together to complicate prosecution and regulation.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like and

In their own words: 'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their scam then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall;
1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list and NEVER call them back
2. Consider blocking the number or on a cell phone add it to a contact list and assign NO ring tone
3. Report it at
4. Report it at
5. People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office
6. Report any criminal activity to the FBI here:

This is an all out attack from these scum suckers! EVERYONE should be reporting them everywhere that they can. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft the FBI should be forced to get involved. (Prosecute them in criminal court instead of civil penalties).

Register your phone numbers online at or call 888-382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).

There is a blog site that has information on one of these operations:
Please read the blog and report violations to the proper authorities.

Phone Spam

This # is a phone spam source. I have a history of many calls from numbers in the range 701.248.10xx numbers very close to it, indicating to me it comes from a robo-caller. Some of the calls in this range of numbers later came from Fresno, CA, though, so they are taking advantage of complexities of the phone switching systems crossing state lines, which will most likely require federal action to stop this problem - or an unusual degree of cooperation between the attorney-generals of the various involved states.
