I too, received a call from the 6123075000
number and I called the 800-316-3111
number just to make sure if it is legit and it is. The person that tried to purchase an Apple Ipad laptop for $800 on a Visa card and they made up a fake email for me and everything. Well, first off, I don't have a Visa card that ended in that number she gave and I'm not going to purchase an Apple cause I'm not a fan of Apple. So, please be careful out there with your purchases and information.
I concur with Cindy and N. It was Target calling to verify a charge that had been made on my card. They cancelled the charge and did not ship the item to the person who committed fraud. Change your password! Use another email, if you have one, and get your bank to change your credit card number! I was also given the 800 number to call and a reference number to give to the service rep. It's legit!
called the 612-307-5000 number back and I was told that somebody opened a Target credit card in my name and tried to place a charge, which has been cancelled. If they call...Call them back..
Received a call regarding verification of a recent Target.com order. Since I hadn't ordered anything I checked with my credit card co. There was a pending charge. I called them back at 1-800-316-3111
(the number they provided) and they recinded the charge. Thanks Target.com for checking this out.
I got a call this morning from this number. They asked me if I just bought a $100 gift card on-line. I told them "no". THANK GOD THEY CALLED ME!!! She said that I ought to call my bank. Someone got my card number and had bought three $100 and $300 cards! I was able to have my card stopped.
Call from Target. I called this number, but Target.

pissed off Nov 10th, 2011
I received multiple calls right in a row from this number. The 2nd time it rang (phone was on vibrate) I happened to hear it and missed their call. As I was looking up the number, that's when the man called again. He said his name was Hugh and that he was with Target. He said there had been a purchase on my card that was far from home. (The purchase only looked like it was far from home because they didn't process the address change I have them a month ago when we moved cross country.). However, the guy knew my former city of residence, though anyone could know that. I was still skeptical, so he said that the number he was calling from was the same as the toll-free # on the back of my card. That's when I told him that it was not a toll-free # on my caller ID. I asked where he was, and he said Minneapolis, Minnesota, which matched up with the area code / exchange on caller ID. I told him I'd call the # on the back of my card in the morning to discuss with Target. For the folks saying they called the # on their caller ID and no one would answer, etc., call centers often cannot receive in-bound calls. Also, If the auto-dialer didn't reach you (b/c you didn't answer, etc.) then the CSR calling you would not have noted your account for a different call center to be able to verify that someone in fact called you.
Got a call from 6123075000 from target customer service about an online purchase. Informed my card is compromised.
Verified with credit card company, indeed someone tried to use my card. Got my card replaced. legit.
Caller identified themselves as calling from Target to verify my billing, shipping and email addresses for a current order I placed online.
The caller asked for Paula.
They called me from this number (612-307-5000) during the NIGHT. Twice they called around 2am!!!!!
I got a call from this number and the start of a message that said it was Amy from Target Financial. I got disconnected then I called back and it said it was a non-working number. I tried to call Target Visa but they said they did not call.
I got a call from this number, but I didn't answer because I was at work. So, yeah. I wouldn't have answered anyway due to the fact I don't answer calls from unknown numbers.
It was Target VISA calling to verify a charge. I was out of town (and shopping!) in an area of the country where I had never been before.
My caller ID only said a Minnesota call. It wasn't a toll free number but the fact that the end of the number was in zeros, made me think it was a business call of some kind. If it was Target as others have indicated, I have no idea as to why they would be calling me. I have not done any business with them online or in the store. They didn't leave a message either. This is the only time they have called me so far.
Target Corporate. Number they display instead of the actual number their employees are calling from. Received multiple times where they just hung up. Suspect they have a wrong number.
Just got this call at work. Could possibly be Target. Didn't get a voice message.
note: i had to call back 1.888.394.1885. they do this every year when i start xmas shopping...
Target Visa called to verify an online order I placed to an online merchant. They were just checking to see if it was authorized. You probably want to call these people back.
