I do have an MBNA account which B0A took over but in the past when payments have been late I have gotten called directly from a 781 area code. Today I started getting spammed at work by 602-597-4625 and they either tell me to hold (not gonna happen) or the line is silent. I will get the real number off my bill tonight to report the 602 number.
I got a call from this number today claiming there was an issue with my BOA business account, which I do not have. He was a gravelly voiced man who sounded suspicious and asked for my mailing address, date of birth and mothers maiden name. I said i was suspicious and he gave me a number to call back if i wanted to talk to the corporate office. I looked up the BOA number on their website and it didnt match and BOA said I didnt have any issues with my account. This is a scam of some sort
Just got a call from them today. A woman who did not give her name described herself as calling from "FIE Card Services" about my relationship with Bank of America. She asked me to confirm my phone number and address. She would not clarify the company's relationship with BoA until I provided her with my contact information.
I believe this to be a scam.
Received a call on my cell phone from this number. When I picked up a recording said, "Thank you for your patience. A customer service representative will be with you shortly." In other words, they called ME, then put ME on hold!
I don't know who they are. I hung up.
correction to Ron's comment below. His strategy will severely damage you credit for about 7 years, not just the 6 months you are not making payments.
I have a BoA account with 2 credit cards, but my bills are paid and the next payment not due for a couple weeks and my checking & savings balances are positive. No idea why they would be calling me to collect.
This is Bank of America Card Services - collection department
They called me and were asking for my account number and home address.
Its Bank of America looking for an overdue credit card payment.
Strategy: Do not pay the credit card for 6 months at which time the Bank will turn over the account to a collection agency. Opportunity: Collection agencies want to settle the account, or to negotiate a settlement. Offer to pay 10 cents on a dollar of outstanding loan, the collection agency collects the 10 cents, your loan is settled, no more phone calls. No more credit card balance. The one drawback is your credit score will suffer during the 6 month no pay period. Like, who cares, as if I need to borrow money from these loan sharks again. Like, do I really want more debt! No way! Jose!
bank of america calling on late payments
Bank of America card services
Call the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) 800-225-5322
to report these guys. If enough of us call the FCC we can get these guys investigated and maybe shut down. I will also be call the State Attorney General's Office @ 800-869-1123
. Good Luck
Like the other folks here, this number keeps calling us (maybe 2-3 times a day). Half the time there is no one on the line. The other half, there is a computer voice telling us to call some 800 number. As If!
We have a home business, and this kind of B.S. ties up our line - and in these times we can't afford to lose business just because these jerks want to (?)Scam us? Legitimate businesses shouldn't operate this way - so I have to assume these guys are not legit. I'm goign to see if there is some way to block their number.
Thes idiots have been calling me NON STOP for the past few days and its getting VERY annoying. I don't pick up the phone so they keep calling and calling. I had 10 calls from them today and I'm getting so pissed off. PIECE OF SHIT!
It is a Collection company calling on behalf of either Citibank or Bank of America. They will also call from Card Services 888-885-6262
This female Person was extremely rude when I asked for verification on their end. she called me a dumb f*#@ing bitch and hoped my rates would go up. she kept cutting me off and calling me a whore and I told her that I did not appreciate the way she spoke to me. She said I was a dumb ass and I told her I have her number on caller ID and she said "good luck trying to reach me you stupid bitch."

They say it's Bank of America, but it is very clearly a scam (who in the world would actually call them back - DUH!). Do not answer or give them any information. Verizon needs to crack down on these losers.
I am soooooo tired of these VERY RUDE people calling at work and at home. I told them that I read that this was a phone scam and they hung up on me. I tried calling this number back and did not get an answer.
9 times today. Finally picked up and gave CEO(citibank's) contact number-It's citibank
Person called my parent's house looking for me, when my father told him that I no longer lived there and to stop calling, the person on the phone stated "If you quit lying to me, I will quit calling"
No Message, no caller ID. If it is B of A I would have picked up! What idiots if they want to get someone on the phone.
3/20/09 this number called...no id or anything...did not answer...never answer calls from people or organizations I don't recognize
These jerks call all the time and don't leave messages and don't talk when you pick up the phone. What the hell are they paying their employees to do? Does anyone know a more direct line to get ahold of them?
Bank of America. This was my second call from them; they didn't leave a message. The first message only said the call was in reference to an "ongoing business relationship." I'm sure they meant my business credit card, which is/was overdue.
they call me twice a day for someone who owes them money on a credit card... i think. the person they want is the previous owner of the house i bought last year. they keep saying they won;t stop calling until i give them contact info on other person - WHO I DON'T EVEN KNOW!
This is Bank of America, which I do not bank with, however they recently bought accounts from regions bank and amsouth. They are looking for your payment on your MBNA credit card.
They said B of A card services, very urgent sounding message. I called the # they left 877-785-0461
and he asked me for account#/SS#. I hung up. I have filed bankruptcy and if this was legitimate they would not be calling me.
This is Bank of America calling. Ususally if you are late they call you about 3 times a day. America is doing very poorly right now financially and if these companies didn't have 33% interest rates, some people might actually be able to pay their bills.
Bank of America, this is the number they call from to determine when you are home so they can have a person call you. If you answer half the time there is really no one there, so if that happens then just hit the * key a dozen times and it will mix up their computer. LOL
Bank of America, Card Services - Collections
I got a call yesterday. This better not continue. At least my outgoing message has a few explicatives for the caller(s).
P.S. I hate bank of america!!
It is Bank of America. I am behind in payments, but they usually don't talk to me, just hang up.
Everyone needs to call the BBB and see if we can put a stop to this harassment. 20 calls in one day, after they said I would be taken off the call list.
I called the number the left 800-238-7083
and got a message saying they are bank of america, then asked for my card number, then SS number at which point I hung up. I'd be suspicious of this number.
suspicious Jul 10th, 2007
I actually called the number back and got a vm of a Ron from Card Services
This happened to me a month ago with a outfit in Fl...now they moved to AZ...they call every day...stupid people...
It doesn't say who called but it says Phoenix, AZ
These people keep calling me about a Bank of America card I don't have. I've never banked at Bank of America. I told them I don't have an account with them and to stop calling but everyday even weekends I get a call from them.
I don't know who this is, but they don't leave a message. What's the point in calling if you aren't going to state your business. Incidentally, this a business they are calling.
OK......So NOW their going to call my cell phone and use up my minutes!!!!!!!!It's bad enough they keep calling my home phone and hang up on my answering machine when there is no answer.....now they stoop to calling my cell phone!!!! We all need to do something to put a stop to these LOW LIFE IDIOTS who think they are salesmen!!!! TELEMARKETERS MUST GO!!! And I do mean "STRAIGHT TO HELL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I paid my bill last week and I have been getting calls this week. Message that I "have to call today!" Woman sounds like she is from or in India.
