received a call from asking about my daughter's student saying that they could reduce my payment. when I told them we weren't making payments at the time they hung up quickly. They were fishing for information the entire time they talked to me. I contacted the Federal student aid and following is what they told me. "I apologize for the inconvenience and would like to advise that this would not have been one of your Department of Education servicers. If your servicer contacts you they will have all required information regarding your loans and will identify themselves as being with that servicing company. Please disregard any other phone calls you receive from another entity that is not your servicer. You may verify who is currently servicing your loans at www.nslds.ed.gov.
