I have been getting calls from this # for 2 weeks (3 times per day). Tried calling it back and all I get is that its out of service. Actually answered the call and the guy told me I was selected for a grant. I responded "by who, whats your name, how did you find me, who do you work for again, can I have your ID # so I can look you up". I pissed him off so badly he couldnt wait to get off the phone with me. I said "Sir you are very unprofessional for a Government agent huh". Hope I wont be getting any more calls from them

A lady call me from this number and told me i was selected to receive a grant money of 7500 and that they was calling from Washingto DC, she gave me a code and a number and said her manager is waiting on my call. I called back the number she gave 202-407-9059...A man answered and told me that i ask to recieve my money in cash cause i said i dont want nothing direct deposited in my bank account and that i wanted cash.. so he told me go to the western union and let me know when i get there to call him back so he can give me the code ... so then he said n to secure your money you have to pay $271 as a deposit so they can know that i am who i am .. i said that is what the western union do verify who i am.. Right then and there i said this got to be a scam because for one why do i need to pay to receive grant money from the goverment... I said yall are a bunch of scam artist..stop ripping off people . I told them that i was gng to have a lawyer look up these numbers and see who they really are. They said ok we are straight bussiness and we work for the goverment .. I soon as i hung up and looked up the number i saw soo many complaints about the same situation and and the same phone number... Watch out everyone they are scam artists...

I received a call from 5755461575 every day around the same time the past few days. Today I answered, the lady said (in a heavy foreign accent) she was calling from the United States Student Grant department in Washington DC. When I told her I seriously doubt that and asked her what she wanted, she just kept asking for me by name. At one point I heard something that sounded like she hit a button on the phone dial pad. I asked her what country she was calling from and she said something that sounded like Thaikul. I repeated it back and she said yes maam. I told her I never heard of it and the call disconnected.

I kept receiving calls from that number for like the last three weeks... I answered finally and and had a feeling that it was a scam. So I played along... I gave them false information and laughed when they was telling me to call them when i got to my nearest western union so i could send THEM 256 dollars to receive a government grant of 7500 dollars. Why would I send them money to get money? Are they really that stupid? I told the guy that I was hopping in the car RIGHT NOW to go do that.... LOL... I told him I would call him back....... Of course I wont, but I think its funny that he would think I would... I'm hoping that it will piss him off to be scammed back... lol.. If they call me again, I'll cuss them out and call the popo... I hope they get caught soon because this crap is getting old.... Yeah they said that they where from Washington D.C. but its a New Mexican number... They are soo stupid....

I just received a call from this number and the woman sounded as if she was from India. I decided to entertain them by listening and got the same spiel about the government grant $7500.00 that seemingly many others are hearing and she wanted my birthdate and when i asked why she said she had to go. These people are MORONS! GO AWAY!

I received a call today saying I was being given $7000 as a grant that I would not have to pay back. He got as far as my home address that I hadn't lived at for 5 years. I said if you are a government agency you should know my current address. He said that I was speaking to fast through his heavy Arab accent and when I told him again he got angry and said if I wanted the money he would need to verify my correct info and get my bank account number. I said again that if a government agency wanted to give me money they would have my correct info to begin with since I pay taxes and report to them every year and that I would not be giving him my bank account info. He then called me a "bitch" and started speaking in his native tongue and hung up on me. When I tried to return the call the number had been disconnected.

Claimed to be from the government in Washington DC she sounded indian to me. Said I won a grant, I'm a broke college student so I kept on listening but then she said that she needed my bank account number or credit card #. I told her I didn't have any but she was very insistent on getting the information. I was getting very suspicious because grants from the government are done through FAFSA. She hung up abruptly when she could not get what she wanted. This is a scam!

Heavily accented caller...'You have a govt grant of $7500 waiting for you'. I need you to confirm info and call 202.657.6938 and give them this code number and you pick up your cash at the nearest Western Union office. Then wanted my birth date. I would not give him any correct info, but made some up to see what he was after. DUH!

THE CALLER CLAIMED THAT I AM RECEIVING A CALL BECAUSE MY NAME POPULATED ON A GOVERNMENT LIST AND THEY FOUND SOME MONEY IN MY NAME. (I KNOW HOW TO SEARCH FOR MY OWN MONEY AND I WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT) I ADVISED THE GUY THAT HE SOUND LIKE HE WAS READING FROM A SCRIPT AND I COULD BARELY UNDERSTAND HIS ACCENT. HE BECAME VOLATILE, ACCENT WITH ROBOTIC VOICE DISAPPEARED, AND I HUNG UP ON HIM.

Approximately 6 months ago I started receiving phone calls from all over. Some came up Texas, California and Washington. The person on the other end did not speak good english and threatened jail if I did not pay a ridiculous about of money. He pretended to be with a police agency. The last straw was when the number came up as "911". When I called it back, it was of course, my local 911. I explained to the dispatcher what had happened and she connected me with a fraud officer. After explaining my story to him, he said that this was not the first time he has been involved with this issue. Three month prior another lady called with the same story. He took the number and called. The man refuse to fax him anything to the police station and would not let him speak to his supervisor. The officer called me back and advised me that is was indeed phony and to not answer anymore.
Now fast forward 6 months and Friday, 9/21 it started again. He just called again from this number with the same, I am going to jail story. I am so frustrated that some dumbass can harass people like this and there is nothing that can be done.
