This is not the NRA. This is a telemarketer trying to sell a product for septic tanks, originally called Krane Products. They are evidently going thru old customers files trying to drum up new business to pitch their over priced products. Had to hang up on him!

I'm getting calls from this number to my cell in BC, Canada....the number calls then hangs up. If I call back it's an automated message telling you to enter your phone number!!!! Annoying

This number calls my home phone at least twice EVERY day. When I pick up the phone they say nothing. I have called the number ( 571-441-0183 ) back and a recorded voic comes on that I can have my phone number deledted from their auto calling. I have done that three times and they still call every day. I will put thir number put in a compaint regarding their number and callint. Whatever candidate they are promoting will probably lose votes over the NRA actions with this excessive calling.

This was the NRA calling. They did everything right about the call except I don't remember them giving me the option of opting out of them calling. Might have missed it as they droned on and on about why they were calling. Dangerous call as I almost fell asleep and hit my head on the table. Anyway they were calling to promote a candidate running for Olympia Snowes Senate Seat. Even Olympia isn't supporting the candidate they were pushing. Regardless, I already voted for the Independent candidate.

Sick: Do you plan to tell NRA that or just keep making remarks here?

Buster: I would suggest turning up the volume on Certified Mail paper when any highly profitable ''nonprofit'' is so deaf to verbal demands, and most of them are.

This is the NRA calling on your phone line, intruding into your home or business to try and force you to hear their opinion of whom you should vote for in the upcoming election whether you're interested in what they have to say or not. The particular wing of the organization that handles political calls is the NRA-ILA (Institute for Legislative Action). They have their own website (www.nraila.org/) and you can call them at 800-672-3888, just wait through the robomenu for the 'legislative action' option. Of course, once you get their, what you will hear is that as a 'non-profit' organization they have the right to call whomever they choose because they are not prohibited by the Do Not Call regulations. They will also tell you that they are not the only organization making calls, so that makes it ok. And if you wish to express your opinion about their calling practices...well, sorry, they don't want to hear what you have to say, they just want to have the right to say what they want... Call them anyway, and let them know what you think of their calling practices. (This writers opinion: This organization has lost sight of what the personal freedoms they claim as birthright are all about.)

... and DJ is one who doesn't believe in comprehending the rules of a service before signing on. Here's the FTC FAQ page which the DNC site repeatedly invited you all to read before you registered your numbers. See items 28 through 32.

Q&A: The National Do Not Call Registry
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm

As for the other common whine from ''S'', a nuisance caller with an autodialer cannot ''get the message'' or ''take the hint'' you have not delivered. You have to demand an end to the calls DIRECTLY.

We are on the no caller list and do want these calls. Stop calling. When you answer the phone and get a dam recording there ....is nothing more annoying....and one call after another withing minutes....you'd think they would get the message not to bug us.

After a minute of chatter on guns and voting etc I picked up the phone and hung up. I do not need answering machine chatter filled with political phone calls. Make them illegal like telemarketing please!
