voicemail
scam
police
The voicemail told me that if I didn't call, after 24 working hours have expired, I will be taken under custody (??) by the local cops as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you.

I think people are taken "into" custody, not "under." And the professional reference to "cops" would be "police." Can't even imagine what serious allegations they would have against me. Clearly a scam!

I listened to the call -- and laughed! It was an automated call informing me that I was in trouble with the IRS and, if I didn't call back, the police would be coming to arrest me. About an hour later, I got a call from the same number, which I ignored. A voicemail was left with the same information as earlier. This is definitely a scam.
