I have an att&t cell phone and I cannot call out from my home. I went to thr office 2 yr. ago and complained of the same problem but they said that they pullrd me up on their comp. and I do have service to my area, but since the same problem cont. I called the comp. and the person that I spoke with said that he wasn't surprised that I don't have service because there are no att&t towers in my area, so I want to know why they are selling me somthing can't use at home. I do not think that I should be billed for $50.00 a month for a service that I can not use from my home phone pluse if you eant to know...I can't even call 911!
This # calls every single day and hangs up when I tell them I don't have a car or to take me off the list. It's a warranty service saying my car warranty is about to run out. Nothing stops this annoying company. They will call several times a day until you pick up the phone, something needs to be done!
SOMETHING REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE IS RIGHT DEB AND CAPTSQUID DID CALLING THEM HELP?
I MAY BE WRONG BUT SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT THE DO NOT CALL IS NOT IN EFFECT ANYMORE... DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF THIS IS REALLY TRUE AS I'M GETTING LOTS OF NUTTY CALLS AND I ONLY CHANGED PROVIDERS NOT NUMBERS?

Got yet another call from these schmucks. The real company name is:
Automotive Warranty Solutions, LLC
Another call from them today from this number, which is different from some of the other numbers they have called me from. WTF!? Why can't someone stop this BS? I'm getting sick of this, and someone needs to stop them.
Nuisance call from supposed auto warranty service. I do not own an auto in warrantee. When I said so, caller hung up.
What more is required on our part, to make the DO NOT CALL LIST law be enforced? Why go to all the trouble to make a DO NOT CALL LIST, that will not be enforced? 7:42a.m. is to early to call anyone unless it is an emergency. We can post here, but is anyone monitoring this? Is anyone really going to do anything about it? Quite obviously I am not the only person they are bothering. Where is the DO NOT CALL LIST police when you need them????? Surely there is more ALL of us can do besides waste our time typing to fill in this useless form, isn't there???? Here is a website to report these calls to, for the rest of you who have posted here. https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Hope it helps to make the calls stop!!!

When you come to look up a number and there are already 192 comments you know they are some asshat telemarketers. The Do Not Call list needs to have some teeth put behind the "law" and ALL exceptions removed. I think that that list at this point is simply a good way for assholes to get a list of known good numbers to call.
I am on the DNC for a very specific reason - my phone is for my use not these gutless wonders who do not leave a message. I said in another comment wqe all need to call the White House switchboard 202-456-1414
and express our displeasure with the enforcement with the enforcement of DNC. check out my comment at 561-784-9844
After I pressed "1" to speak to a person, that person was very rude and told me that the National Do Not Call List does not pertain to them. When I said I will still be reporting them, he replied that he will be listing my number so that I will be getting more frequent calls --- and now I get calls from this number many times a week.
Read an in-depth "Ripoff Report" by someone claiming he worked at one of
the 'warranty service' companies (many listed company names). It will give you a better idea of the type of people that are trying to get your business...your $$$$$$...or personal information......at the least, a form of SCAM ARTISTS that take your money and give you ZERO IN RETURN.
It's a good read...

I received their postal card 'NOTICE" today....my car is a '95...do you think my warranty is ready to run out? OMG!! No exact vehicle i.d., just general info on warranty, interest % available ...BUT...the real kicker printed at the top and in the message text says: "OUR COMPANY MAKES NO OUTBOUND CALLS. YOU MUST CALL THIS NUMBER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OFFER." Are you kidding me? How do they end up on this website and
all the complaints if they don't make "OUTBOUND CALLS"?
Also calls similar (did not answer, but researched & same scams) from:
Keep this stuff out there and don't fall for their "canned cons".

Add this to the list of the numbers used to call people to scam them with car warranties! Same message as these phone numbers: 561-784-9844

We have received numerous calls from these jokers. If you have call forwarding forward the calls from this number to the White House switchboard at 202-456-1414
. Another forwarding number would be to their own switchboard at 800-376-5644
(Automotive Warranty Group) or to the FTC at 877-382-4357
get an air horn....and answer the phone and when they start to speak. BLOW their ear out. If they call again don't put your ear to the phone. pick it up and BLOW they will stop in time. BUT the air horn is loud for you also. You can use a good whistle if the air horn is to loud for you. The do not call is a joke or we would not be getting these calls. The only people that aciknowledge the do not call are people that respect the do not call list rules and regulations.

Received call, caller ID stated Florida. A message came on to tell me that this was the last attempt to contact me after several attempts at renewing my auto warranty. You had the option to choose #1 to speak to someone or #2 to have them terminate your account. I told them I had not receieved any documentation or other attempts and was skeptical that this was a phishing scam, I was asked to explain what I meant. Then I was asked what year my car was and I told them that the extended warranty I bought had already run out at 75K miles. They had my name but knew nothing about the previous warranty that they wanted me to extend. When I asked if they would send the documentation in the mail, they hung up on me. I tried calling the number that came up on the phone, but it's busy.
I have reported the number to the FCC.

I just read the info provided. Should have done so to begin with. Thanks
These folks call all the time. If we remind them that our number is on the do not call list, the caller usually says, "That means nothing to me." The semi-threatening nature of the voice certainly is unwarranted. How do we report them?
Yep, the FTC only investigates if there is a pattern of abuse.
So, if we want this to stop, we must all call. Give them the info on Foundation Media Group and Automotive Warranty Solutions shown below.
The FTC phone number is: 877-382-4357

I called and spoke with a woman, said they had sold my phone number to the company named below. I also said if they are a legitimate company, they should be scrubbing their lists against the Do Not Call List. The woman I spoke with was flustered.
This number is obviously the result of an automatic dialer. I have gotten calls every week for months now. To say annoying is putting it mildly. The line is busy when I try to call back. I would do more to stop them if I could get more information.

Interesting info on this scammer...thanks to the guy who did all the research and posted it on the web (site below).
someone calls from this number often...its a pitty people have nothing better to do than agrevate people.
This company is Automotive Warranty Solutions, LLC. Their REAL phone number is: 800-376-5644
. Report them to the FTC on this website: https://www.donotcall.gov/. Make sure you use the REAL phone number.
I've faxed them, phoned them, and e-mailed them. I wonder if they genuinely care at all.
I have been receiving the same message on my machine for weeks now. I just received another call. Sometimes it is about my "automotive warranty" and other times it is about my car being repossessed. The good part about this was, that I had owned a 1996 blazer at the time and there was no concern of a warranty nor of it being repossessed. So, there was no need to "panic". I swear, can we ever be left alone from telemarketers? I just tried calling the number and of course it's busy. Someone else is getting bothered. I have been on the DNC for years but these companies just do not care. Someone is getting their kicks by watching people panic...
Are you tired if these phone calls? Maybe we should all try calling this number 202-456-1414
and ask that they do something aout them. It is the White House Switchboard. I remember years ago Johnny Carson had a guest on the Tonight Show who wanted to be a Detroit police office but he was too short, so Johnny suggested that his audience call the home phone of the Detroit police chief. Maybe if we all call the White House Switchboard the DNC will be enforced. As I write this there have been 303 calls reported from this number, at the fine of $11,000 per incident that comes to $3,333,000; while a drop in the bucket ($787,000,000,000) every drop helps. Lets make that call and express our displeasure with the lax enforcement of DNC.
A call from a telemarketer. They don't care about the law and will not stop calling us. Press "1" and scream as loud as you can when a person answers. This is my revenge to those nasty con artists.

These people just don't give up! This is another scam number from Automotive Warranty Solutions, LLC, trying to extend the warranty of my 92 GMC.
These people called today saying my vehicle was going to be repossed. So I called my bank and checked into it. nothing was wrong. if i ever find this guy Im gonna cut his d*ck off and probably his tongue. To bad I live 24 hours away from him. Maybe I'll write to him every day for the next year trying to sell him a warranty for his vehicle.

All I know is I get a cut off call on my answering machine 3 times a week, today twice from this number, it sounds like a recording, and all I can hear is THIS IS YOUR FINAL COURTESY CALL then click it's aggravating, I have an unlisted number and I'm housebound on an oxygen machine, I get up to answer the phone and it goes to the machine before I can get to it and that is very hard for me, I'm tired of it, each time it's the same message with a different Palm Beach or Orlando Florida or nearby phone number
I called them back and got a beep and said stop calling me and I tried again after the second call and it says the number is no longer in service. Very suspicious.

Oh my god....I'm glad I'm not alone here! These jerk-off's called me the other day claiming they were from Toyota and that I needed to renew my warrenty. I'm a first time car buyer and I bought it 2 years ago so it made sense. I gave these jerks my Credit card number and they went to process it. I talked to my dad and he said to cancel and that we would go with someone else. I told these people to put the money back on the card and cancel the transaction. After saying this to them (and mind you they were really nice up till this point) the guy preceded to verbally abuse me and would not give me his name and number. In the last two days I have been on the phone with Toyota and with my credit card company getting my credit card number safely changed! Thank goodness for god customer service over at my credit card company. The A**holes charged my anyways but I have disputed the charged and will not be responsible for paying! Just Happened to me. Some Ballsy People.
Received an annoying call from this number on 2-25-2009 (today) at a few minutes before 12 noon, referring to an IMPORTANT MESSAGE. The message I have for them is alot more important than is theirs.
Received recording trying to sell me an extended auto warranty. These lunkheads have been told before to remove me from their call lists. They apparently do not get the message. I reported them again to the National Do Not Call Registry.
Auto Warranty Scan... Fraud... Do not engage with these people. The caller id is spoofed. This number is out of service. "This is last call. Your auto warranty is about to expire. We have tried several times to reach you. Press 1..." Again, fraudsters, spoofed caller id.
I wasn't home at the time and they didn't leave a message. The other evening when I picked up the phone they said the warranty on my car was going to run out. I had just purchased a new car last week. I hung up the phone without responding.

I have call screen, call block, etc. They call (against the do not call list), your voicemail picks up and they hang up. They also call my employer at my personal office number. I will make a point of saving this info, and filing a legal complaint. If they continue to do this, we can haul them into court for violating the do not call list law. If you look in any "REAL PHONEBOOK" aka, the bell system typically who are held to certain standards, on the customer pages this will be reflected. Tell them once. If they call again, you are justified to file whatever you want to.

I keep getting calls from this number trying to sell extended warranties for my vehicle. So far to date I have received more than 20 calls from this number! From my understanding this is a scam and is under investigation from the Kansas Consumer Fraud Division.
Received a call from this number some time this afternoon.. Caller ID just displayed this number and UNKNOWN CALLER.. I tried to call but when I did, it would cut off before I heard a ring..
Someone tell me why its so hard for the phone company and law enforcement to get together and just shut down these known numbers (I'm sure they have the ability to identify where the calls originate regardless of caller ID) from scam telemarketers, if not actually prosecute them and put these scumbags in prison? For every dozen or so pissed off people interrupted by these criminals, some poor trusting elderly person falls for this and probably gets their savings wiped out, identity thieved, and god knows what else. Anyone aware of this, and that has the power to try to prevent this, but doesn't, should be ashamed of themselves and fired from their jobs.
There is a lot of number spoofing going on. The number you see may not be the real number. I have received over 15 calls with "000-000-000". Sure hope the states and feds pass that no spoofing bill.

These people have been calling me for nearly a year several times a week, sometimes several times a day. It's always the same, a recorded message that either they can lower my credit card rates or my automobile warranty is about to expire. Press #1 to talk to a representative. I always press #1 and tell them they are violating the DNC law. I usually get a hang-up or today I got a guy named Josh who just said, "I don't care" and hung up. I've reported these people numerous times. It does no good and I'm tired of wasting my time filling out the form. The government clearly has no interest in or intention of going after these morons.
I get calls so much from this number I just look at my caller id now and let it go. It is so irratating when you know they just want to sell you something, I am strange if I want to buy something I order it or go to the store. LEAVE ME ALONE.
How many complaints need to be filled before people get off of their DC butts and do something about it? I have been getting the same calls for credit card interest lowered and Auto Warranty for over a year. I have reported every time and every number. But they still keep calling. But for those of you with lower minutes on cell phones, Just mention the Do Not Call list and they will hang up, until tomorrow.
I was on a business call when these fools tried calling...as always, I look up the # on internet & check out this website as well as a couple of others...sure enough, another scam number...and we've already been on the Do-not-call registry for some time...I've reported 2 other numbers at DNC website but, as far as I know, nothing's been done. I'm grateful for caller ID...
Repeated calls from these scam artists. Caller ID number is faked. These same people have also called I believe using other fake numbers: 062-248-9204

Pennsylvania Feb 17th, 2009
The only way to stop these calls is for Congress to pass the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009. This would make it a crime for businesses to "spoof" their Caller ID information. I have been in contact with one of the senators for my state to get this passed. Please do likewise...and also contact your representative because their version of the bill has not yet been introduced (the Senate version is S. 30).

Third Party Debt Scavengers, not to be confused with telemarketers. It's legal for them to call and lie to get whatever information they can if they think you owe a debt. Check the statute of limitations for debt collections state by state, chances are, if this is a valid debt, the SOL has long since passed for the harassment to have come this far, the bottom of the slime bucket, so to speak, and the debt is no longer owed. Either way, or even if it's not your debt, simply send a letter (certified return receipt requested) demanding an end to all harassment. This includes all the Debt Scavengers and skip tracers that a reputable (that's debatable) collection agency may hire to obtain any information on you that they can. Even if it turns out to be a valid debt, they have to stop all harassment. Check out the FDCPA (fair debt collection practices agency)
Check this website, too, for information on any/all states.
And be sure to pass this info around anywhere else you might find yourself while trying to find Who's Calling. Never underestimate the sleaziness of these individuals. They will hide behind what appears to be a legit business, H&R block calling to sing Happy Birthday To You), beauty aids, loan companies, warranty companies, local hospitals....
