This site has been very therapeutic for me....I was angry about the constant phone calls from 519-346-2517
, but once I read all the "dicks, douchebags, f***ers, etc comments" I laughed because I'm not alone!!! Thank you! Maybe one day I'll answer the phone and tell them to F.O. Too bad they don't just take the hint when there's no answer!

Has anyone given information to this number and did you receive an insurance policy to look over from them? Were you charged if you decided to cancel within two months??
At this time not sure if this was a legitimate call or a scam. They called on June 17th at 6:41 pm and said that the policy would arrive by email in 24 to 72 hours. So far it has not arrived.
I spoke with two men. The intial person asked some questions and then his supervisor confirmed the details. They recorded the phone call. I am now concerned since I gave out some personal details. They had my previous address, so I gave them our current address which is available to anyone via Canada411, however since we live in a condo, only friends know our suite number. They asked for our birth dates - which made sense for insurance purposes - so I gave them those. Also my email address so that they could email the policy. They also asked where I was born, which I answered. After the call I checked Sears Canda website and they are linked with Canadian Premier Life on the site. However, I now think I gave out too much information over the phone without being sure they were who they said they were, since how can I be sure that this was not an attempt for identity theft. Anyone see the policy they offered?

Ask her to take you off the list and she promises that it will stop the next day.
519 346 2517 Mar 05th, 2008
I start getting the calls myself. Now they call me every 20 minutes. It's horrible!!!
It says ontario on my caller ID. I don't want to pick it up. It's called me 4 times in a row!!! and on my recent calls list it's on there like 10 times.
At various times today alone I have received three calls from 519-346-2517.
There things you can do that confuses the auto dialers you can press the # and the * sign several without saying anything when you see the number do this until the line goes dead alot of times the computer figures it has dialed the wrong phone number and takes you off its list. Second if you get a person ask for thier name and employee number and ask them to take you off the list it is your right (crtc rules) also while you have them on the phone ask for thier personnel phone number so that you can call them at 2AM
My boyfriend use to work for Sears and you would be suprised how sneaky that company is... so really it doesnt suprise me that its sears. We also are getting these phone calls repeatedly.
It disconnected after three rings
I am getting the same problems - 6 - 7 times a day before 8 a.m. after 9 p.m. - 7 days a week. Frustrating. Well I finally got to talk to a person. Her name is Chris Gibb and this particular hub office in Sault Ste Marie but they have many offices with this same number. She is with NCO (a telmarketing company)whose Head Office is in New Town Square, Pennsylvania and that is where she is from. They have a number you can call 1-800-220-2274
. Everybody call this number a million times a day and maybe they will get the message. The companies that I know they are representing are Sears Canada, AT&T andCapital One. There may be more. Chris did promise that within 30 days I would be removed from there calling lists. I'll believe this when I see it.
the 1 866-449-4430
states thank you for calling the Canadian Premiere Life Insurance and Legacy General Insurance company. Promted to enter my phone # ... this apparently will remove me from their list NOT to receive phones call .. but only removes me IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS..
Even after answering the phone, telling them NOT TO call anymore... saying I was not interested in their whatever.... they called again this morning at 9:30 am.
As far as entering my phone # on their .. DO NOT CALL list... that does not work either. They say they represent SEARS... funny, Sears says THEY DO NOT !!!
519 346 2517 ~ aegonusa.com !! The aegonusa . com is a HUGE conglomerate of many different companies.....
519 346 2517
OKAY FOLKS..... CONTACT THE CRTC....
even when you tell them the person is dead... they still call BACK
enough already !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am so fed up with this one
I am so sick of this number calling me... they call everyday .. several times.. this has been going on now for over 2 weeks.
ANY IDEAS WHAT TO DO WITH THIS>>>>>
The company behind the calling is NCO.
Good luck in trying to reach someone there, they are huge with god knows how many offices.
also belongs to NCO, from one of their Ontario call centers. The 514 number probably comes from Montreal center
They are hired by Canadian Premier to do their scumzy work.
Pain in the rear indeed an avwerage of 2-3 calls a day, can't trace the call back, says unlisted
Harrassing calls daily from 1-519-346-2517

For you Canadians, there is a much faster, better, easier, and effective way than sending spam or simply hoping they go away. Call the Canadian Privacy Commisioner, and lodge a complaint that Sears resold your information without your permission, and there is no clear way for you to stop the harrassment. The Privacy Commisioner takes the complaints seriously, and it costs big bucks for the businesses to deal with the complaints. If the complaint is found to be correct and founded, the Government will rip Sears a new one. Know your rights under PIPEDA. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_Information_Protection_and_Electronic_Documents_Act for an overview.

So, this is what i found. If you have a card with Sears/Capital one. They use Premier for insurance on that card. They have an automated system, and it calls your number to offer you insurance. THe 519 number is not from Markham, since markham area code is 905. The however, have a network that you can call and have your name deleted from the dbase to call. it is the 1800 number. I believe my number got out by the sears card. I will have to check the agreement and see what it says about offers, etc. Otherwise, i will seriously consider a mass lawsuit. Anyone interested?
I just had a call from this number, well guess what, they didn't leave a number. Decided to do a look up to see if there number was out there...found this. Normally when i get these kinds of calls, i save the number and mark - do not answer. when they call, i know not to answer. (^_^) lots of weirdos out there...
same problem now they called 4 times today
but just found this on the net
Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company

I'm calling them right now...
I've contacted this company's CEO. his email address is:
SPam the FUCK out of him with your compalints!
I called it and got a person. Oh did I tear a strip off her!
She asked how can I help you today? I replied well you can start with shoving that autodialer right up your ass!
Im not even sure autodailers are legal? I told her that each telemarketer has to be lisenced. I also told her that if I get another call i will perosnally come up there and unplug the auto dialer myself and do everything in my power to shut them down.
Here is a little trick folks. take that 1-800 # and use your computer to fax. set the fax system to redail 999 times if no response. Let them chew on that for awhile and see how they like someone calling them all the time!!!
He said l won 5 Gifts and that he was calling from New York,,, and that they have an office in Woodbridge Ont,,,?????
I too have had the same problem with this number. Yes it is Canadian Premier Life Insurance. I too have called the toll free number and got nowhere. However, through careful research, I have found an email address where you can lodge a complaint with them. It is, firstname.lastname@example.org. This is to their head office in Markham, ON. I already sent an email threatening legal action if they did not rectify this situation immediately. Sure it is a telemarketing company, and yes they bought the phone directory from Sears Canada, but they are acting on Canadian Premier's behalf, therefore they should deal with the situation accordingly. I hope this helps.
These idiots call me at least three times a day. They called me this morning, and when I answered the phone, there was complete silence. They are using auto-dialers. We must fight it, otherwise they would run our lives.
They called last night after 8:30pm. It's illegal for telemarketers of any kind to call after 8pm.
I just love my CALL BLOCKING feature. It works on MANY numbers. Check in to it.
Got one of these calls and didn't answer. This website helped but I found that the best option might be to go to the Canadian Marketting Assoc. website and register for the 'Do Not Call' list. Cheers!
yeah they keep calling me also. So everyone that reads this, go to www.canadianpremier.ca , which is Sears' insurance company that makes the calls, and tell them what kind of sob's they are
This guy 519-346-2517
has called me a bunch of times.. the first time I picked up and no-one is there...then I just let it ring... and no messages....What is up with this????? Its ridiculous... who has fun calling numbers and hanging up...
But I just got a sears card...and from reading this I see that, this must be the connection... how can I stop this idiot from calling me...
Received calls for a solid three weeks from the number (5 times a week) all in the morning when at school so I never got to answer. They then switched to calling later in the day. I finally answered and someone with a heavy french accent answered:
"Is [name] available?"
"Tu parles francais?"
"Oui, un peu."
...Fuck you buddy
I have been receiving these calls several times a day... when I do get a chance to answer it there's nobody there. I called Sears to have my number removed and they told me that it will take up to 3 months for my number to be removed from the calling list!!!! It could be sooner but she had no idea of when it would actually happen. I think that I will think twice before shopping at Sears again and seriously about cancelling my card if this keeps up.
I received a call from this number twice in the past few days actually and I haven't picked it up yet. I looked it up too and it says the location is Sarnia, ON.
I just spoke with Sears and it's their Insurance company. They don't consider it "selling" your number because it's their own company. I suggest you call Sears to complain: the person I spoke with said she was going to report this because she's already had two customer complaints today - I didn't get a Sears credit card to have them try to sell me insurance and said I'd cancel my card and stop shopping there. 1-800-26-SEARS. She gave me the number for a Customer Advocacy group to call to get off their list 1-866-491-2247
don't call these ppl back to remove your phone of the list it just never happnes. once ju call em back then you are ensuring that someone actullay using that phone number and they will keep callin ju, which never ends.....
hope that helps ..
some sort of insurance company from sarnia ..
got a call from them today...and there was a message...it sounded like someone was dialing on a rotary phone, then i hear.."hello? hello?" and in the background someone saying "did you call them back? ya! Hello? Hello?" Then they hung up?? they've called a couple times, but this is the first time a message was left. Sooo annoying.
i just got off the phone with someone at the insurance place and they said they removed my name from the list...but i may still get calls for the next 6 weeks...
They called twice today... once at 2:38 and the other at 4:28... they are persistant and a pain in my butt.
I've got a call from them today. The guy was very rude . Can't believe Sears is so bad right now. I was right not to activate the Sears card.
I have been getting calls from this number for about a week now. They usually call at least 3 times a day. I do not answer when they call and they do not leave a message. My husband recently signed up for a Sears credit card, so I'm assuming that's why we're being pestered. A google search for the number pointed me to this website. I'm glad I found it.
This number has been calling me for a few days and someone has been asking for me. One call today from them sounded like the person was drunk cause when i went to say hello i could hear someone talking and asking "what do i say?".... I said Hello? and they told me they'd have to call me back.
Every day this week I have come home and checked my list of incoming calls on the phone and this number shows up twice per day. Once in the morning and then again around supper. There are never any messages left so I wondered who it was and was planning to call back. Thank goodness I saved myself a long distance call thanks to you kind people. Now that you mention it, I activated a new Sears Account just before Christmas. There must be a way to make them stop!
Thanks for the info. I'll answer and give them a piece of my mind.
Ahhh! I hate these bastards! they call everyday between 10:00am - 11:00am and interrupt my sleep! And here I thought it was an acquaintance of my father who doesn't even live with us anymore. What low life scum Sears are, there prices are always high and their "Kenmore" appliance brand sucks BIG time!
Like many others we get 3 to 4 calls a week from this #. It's always the same, no person or machine just silence and an eventual hangup. *69 gets the #, calling the # gets the Hello, you have received a call from a telephone sales agency message.
Called the number back...said it was an insurance sales telemarketer. It gave me a number 186-644-9443
0) to call to no longer receive calls from this number. I called and keyed in my phone number. Let's hope it works. L
I have been getting these calls for approximately a week now. As a rule, I never answer the phone unless I know who is calling, and do not participate in AirMiles or own a Credit Card to minimize these sort of instances.
Every time, it just says "Unknown Name" and then the caller's number. Needless to say, it is very irritating and particularly peculiar, considering I don't, nor will I ever own a Sears account or order a Sears catalogue.
I think I will follow Andrew's advice and send a letter of complaint through their website. As far as I'm concerned, the call-back number provided to be removed from their calling list is just a scam to confirm that yours is indeed a working number.
I will bookmark this page as well to see if any progress is being made to stop this.
I called the 1-866-449-4430
; this number is a "genuine business number".
Dial during the business hour; keep holding until someone will answer the phone.
Apparently the “bastard” is the 1-519-346-2517
that calls me twice a day.
I just got three this week...our first three actually but I hope it doesn't continue. I was surprised to find that it's actually Sears that's behind this and also note how close our recieving dates are!
Same experience as Amy,Brad and Andrew. We get three or four calls a day GRRRR!Did a reverse phone search on Canada and, as Andrew confirmed, it is a number in Sarnia. I have bookmarked this page...if anyone knows how to put an end to this annoyance, kinly post...greatly appreciated!
These idiots have been calling my cell phone (a number I don't often give out) several times a day for a few weeks. Most times I answer and the line is dead. You can call 1-800-449-4430
to be removed from their list but this is apparently a sham as I have tried it several times and still receive the calls. I did some digging and found out that this is a call centre located in Sarnia, ON calling on behalf of Sears and Canadian Premier Life Insurance. Their website is www.canadianpremier.ca and their number is 1-800-667-2570
. Please call and register your displeasure at this constant harrassment.
I have had the exact same experience as Amy above. What action can i take?
I have been getting daily calls from this number for a while now. First I just ignored them (did not answer), but then I started to get annoyed so I called the number back to tell them what I thought of them. I was very disappointed, as you just get a recorded message that says "Hello, you have received a call from a telephone sales agency with an important insurance offer for valued Canadian customers. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you would like to be placed on the insurance company's do not call list, please call 1-866-449-4430
; otherwise thank you and have a great day." I called the 1-866 number and got another recording inviting me to key in my 10 digit telephone number to be placed on their do not call list. This was a week or two ago, and the calls are still coming in!!!!!!! Today I answered the call and was told they were a third party call centre that was sold my phone number by Sears. Another promise of being put on their do not call list. *sigh*
