Rude rude rude, dude "claimed" that the party he was calling for had just called him and was waiting on the return call. I says "oh really, he is waiting on your call?" "Bob" says "yes"....well "Bob" the bossman has been out for weeks after back surgery. what a blow hard loser. I didn't really say anything (even though the surgery thing was true), just simply let him know I didn't believe a flippin word, laughed at him and hung up. I KNOW i pissed him off, it was great. Can't wait for him to call again, gonna pull the ol press any number on the phone down and hold until he hangs up.

They call my employer several times a week. More than once a day. He says he is calling from Woodstock. I reply ask if it's Woodstock the city or a company named Woodstock. He says "Both."

They are relentless. If you put them on hold, they will hang up within seconds. It's a ridiculous interuption of my valuable time. We are not interested in their financial info.

Mike, calling for our former CEO using his first name. Became exceedingly rude in trying to ascertain the name of the person who "runs the company".

In answer to the usual spiel ending in, "...how can I help you?" a gentleman stated after a delay, and very quietly, only what sounded like, "Tim?" We get a lot of hang-ups, so making sure the gentleman hadn't called the wrong number I said, "I beg your pardon, sir, did you say Tim?" Again very quietly & after a significant delay he only said, "Jim."

"I'm sorry, sir, it's rather hard to hear you. We have dozens of employees here, are you asking for a gentleman named Jim?" He still hadn't responded in more than single word answers & I'd no idea who he was or with whom he was associated. This time he just blurted out, "Mr. (my boss's name), please."

"One moment while I see if he's available. May I say who's calling?"

"Mr. McCabe."

My boss had no clue who he was & once informed my boss was "unavailable", Mr. McCabe only said he'd call back another time & hung up. Called them back at the number provided below, call was answered, "Woodstock Group" and asked them to remove our company from their list.

got several calls from Mike Flaherty, kept hanging up when I wouldn't put him through the boss. Finally got sick of it and did some research and found 'whocalledus', got his number and called him back, let him think I was 'the boss', wow, what a wind bag. He babbled on forever, luckily he spoke loud enough for me to hear him with the phone sitting on my desk as I worked on invoices. I picked up every once in awhile and said, 'yeah, wow, or uh huh', when he finally got done and took a breath I told him to piss off

25 minutes... start with the big stock investment, then slowly whittled to a modest investment. Don't hang up. Don't get removed. Waste their time. You're going to read emails anyway. Do it while they are on the line. Talk to someone else in the office... put 'em on hold... have them repeat themselves... use it to sharpen your phone/negotiating skills. Have fun. How many calls could they get through if we all wasted a half hour of their time. If they are looking at you as an investor, they must think you have money. If you have money, you must be successful. If you are successful, then you must be busy. They WILL wait to catch the 'big one'.

Same scenario as before. Called and asked for my boss by a funny nickname like he knew him. Yeah right...these people are extremely annoying to have to stop your day for. Call the company and ask to be removed from their call list.

Caller ID says "Jobast Holdings" 516-997-4490. Same procedure as others stated. Caller asks for owner. If you tell them they aren't here the caller hangs up before you can finish the sentence. Since the owner is my father, I just say this is Mr. ______ what can I do for you. Caller launches into some sales pitch for stocks. I usually interrupt them and demand to be removed from their list.Other times I just set the phone down and let him talk till he hangs up. I also ask them to hold and forget about them. Hopefully the time they waste on hold or blabbing about the great deal they have is time they are not bothering someone else.

Annoying. They call me and ask for me by a phony nick name, I don't go by "Bob", then when my secretary answers, they hang up on her at least twice a day. She uses "Last caller"*69 and gets the #516-997-4490

This is another one of the financial companies that try to reach an officer of the company by name and then hangs up on the person when informed that they aren't there. Extremely frustrating when one's work is interrupted for this. It is also impossible to let them know that said person does not take calls at this number before the hang up.
