Message said please use your keypad to input your credit card number for identification purposes. Then it said this call is being monitored for customer service personnel training purposes. Then a 30 second pause and then it repeated itself.

Recorded message saying they are calling about my credit card account and it is imperative that I call them to lower my rate. I hung up. Also got this same message last week with the same voice from phone number 202-459-7122 and the week before with phone number 515-369-5617.

Most definitely a scam!! I questioned how they could lower my rates if they weren't even with my credit card company and SURPRISE they hung up on me.

Female voice mumbled something then said this was our last chance call to get our interest rate lowered on our credit card. Supposed to press 9 to get a live person. Caller ID was freeSWITCH.

After pressing nine, I asked for the companies name. The "rep" stated that he wasn't a 'f'ing fool', and why didn't i say I am on the do not call list. After shouting obscenities at me, he hung up. Straight to the fcc's website!

They are KNOWN to the Attorney General's Office and the FBI in some states. There are 48 Basic listings for the company on the internet--and MANY complaints to caller sites just like this one; most likely, some criminal sold your telephone number to them. One site said that the company claimed that they got the phone numbers by information that they got from one of the 3 credit companies? Not sure this is true, but there have been cases where a business was falsely representing themselves; And acquired information from one of the credit companies about several people--their was a class action suit against them. There are many people who just leave a company and sell customer lists. My advice--no longer allow a recorded message! And burn the USPS fake mail--such as YOU are a WINNER-call 1-888-XXX-XXXX.

Criminals calling about getting a lower interest rate--didn't say they were a Credit Card
company etc--just HINT at it....suppose that they would ask for your SSN? Of course, they don't mention
what company they are when they leave a message. When leaving a message, the woman "mumbles' and then said, "Concering your ... to lower your interest rate to 6.9%" "...expires shortly." "Please (yeah right) press 9 now to lower your interest rate." Tell them that you Follow Dave Ramsey Finance Plan, And that the FBI and FCC are going to be contacted for consumer protection!

My call from this number was different. The woman said she was with Premier Publishing and wanted to feature my husband in a book. When I asked what the charge was she said there was no initial fee and tried to change the subject. I told her we weren't interested and she said ok and hung up immediately.
