This number calls me a couple times a week but every time I answer or they leave a voicemail it’s like they butt dialed me or something. All I can hear is voices and background noise.

This is the WSU Alumni Association. Their phone number is 800-258-6978
and their address is Lewis Alumni Centre (yes, Centre), PO Box 646150, Pullman WA 99164.
I called them directly, told them to never call again and not to give my number to anyone else (they do). Problem resolved.
This is the WSU Alumni Association requesting donations. Cut them off (nicely) and just ask them to remove your name from their calling list, then ask them if they actually did it. I will never donate to WSU because I'm not funding their sports programs. I will add that I am appalled by the grammar and spelling errors in posts on this site.
Working for call a coug is a tough job. They are current students that attend WSU and can sympathize with not wanting to donate money, however they are required to ask four times for money, they have a set ask structure and MUST attempt all asks without fail. They are simply trying to pay for school without having to acquire so much student debt. If you wish to not receive calls, you must A) be the prospect that they are trying to reach, then you can POLITELY ask to be taken off the call list. The students enjoy the job so much more if you are nice to them on the phone. If you have issues with the call itself you should call the manager or ask to speak with the manager before hanging up. If you do not like getting yelled at for doing your job, do not yell at a college student trying to pay their way through school. It is completely rude and only makes you look like an incompetent and arrogant arse.
WSU wants donations... HAHAH what a joke I already owe so much money for just going to school and you want me to donate, I will be paying back loans FOREVER... Don't call me again.... Maybe if schools in the US got their priorities straight education vs. maybe sports... you wouldn't be calling for donations.

I no longer live on the Left Coast and am in a different timezone now. So when they call it is ALWAYS inconvenient! If I don't pick up they don't leave a voicemail. When I do pick up it is some college kid who tries to strike up a conversation before the eventual pitch for a donation. When I say "no thank you" they keep trying. I even asked them to remove me from their list and they still keep calling.
I worked for Call-A-Coug for a long time, it is a tough job but for a good cause. If you want them to stop calling then answer the phone and deal with it, just ask to be put on the do not call list...it's not that hard.
Didn't answer but found out it is fund raiser for WSU.

They've called me at least once a month for the last 6 months. I don't pick up because I almost never have my mobile phone on (they're calling that number) and I don't know anyone living in a 509 area code anymore.
Wish they'd give up!
8 o clock at night and no message, EVER. Must have been called 20 times in the past 2 years. If I could block it on my cell phone I would. Next time I might answer and just scream obscenities...
Called at 8 PM on a Sunday. Didn't leave a message.
This is usually Washington State University Alumni Association trying to raise funds and getting you to donate to their scholarship program. They are TENACIOUS! Much easier to ignore and avoid than to answer and tell them no.
I got a call from this number today at 8:27 PM. Did not answer because I did not recognize the number. My caller id said "Washington State". No message was left.
They've called me past 7pm twice now and have not left a message either time. Really irritating.
Too bad they're not volunteers. This is actually they're "job." I worked for Cougar Connectors when I was in school, and we just answer the phone when people call WSU's 1-888 number with questions. Call-A-Coug is a much worse job. I just don't answer when I get these calls.
Wanted money prior to walking for WSU graduation for a "scholarship fund". Quite pushy wanting me to give them my credit card for a donation.
They just called, asked if I was available, and hung up?
calling to ask for money after 7pm is just rude. i got a call from them at 9pm last night. no message. really irritating.
So annoying, I keep getting a phone call every few days, I have never picked up because I don't pick up #'s I don't know, but decided to google the # and found this site. They left a message on accident I suppose, because it was just of them hanging up.
Got a call from this number. Appears to be a WSU number that hangs up when you pick up. No voicemail left.
Really sick of the call-A a coug thing. They seem to change their number every once in awhile-
wsu phone #, didnt answer
I answered the phone, and as soon as I did they hang up.
Same thing as LM: WSU volunteers seeking alumni support; answer and they hang up.
These are Wazzu student volunteers attempting to call (I'm guessing for monetary support). However, when I answer, they hang up!
This is a Washington State University phone number.
