Believed to be automated call, when it reaches my voicemail greeting it hangs us after brief moment. Calls every day at different times 7:00 pm 1:40 pm so today I turned off my machine during the ringing and it just rang and rang until it stopped. Hopefully that will knock this off! I'm on the do-not-call list. A lot of good that does.

Could this be someone who SAYS they are Wells Fargo just to get your credit card info? I work for WF (last 5 months)and this number has been calling my WORK number all week, my bank does NOT have my work number only my cell and I have received no calls from them on my cell.

Once I answer with "Wells Fargo, this is B***) they hang up.

I have been with WF for many years and have never received harassing calls from them.
Sounds like a scam to me.....

All my accounts with Wells Fargo are UP-TO-DATE according to my bank's branch manager who indicated there is no reason for Wells Fargo to be calling me at all!

This company says they are Wells Fargo. However they call from several different numbers 515-327-3019, 503-403-2686, 503-403-2665, 503, 403-2661, 503-403-2670) so I am unsure if it really is Wells Fargo or this is a scam. The 515 number shows in caller ID as Wells Fargo but the other numbers don't. They are however, the same people calling. I am not and never have been a Wells Fargo customer and have been asking them for months to stop calling me. Unfortunately, this has resulted in an increase in calls. I get called several times per day and it is driving me insane. I have told them they have the wrong number but the calls just keep increasing. I have filed several complaints with the national do not call list but it has made no difference. I then filed a complaint with the Federal Reserve who could not help but they did forward my complaint onto the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) who regulate banks and who deal with these types of complaints. They have accepted my complaint and are investigating it. If you are being harrassed by these people too, I encourage you to file a complaint. The more complaints received, the higher priority this will become. Here is how you contact the OCC:

This is so obviously a scam! DO NOT EVER give personal information to someone who CALLS YOU. Calling them back and they say they are Wells Fargo is the same thing as yelling your name and account number in a crowded shopping mall!

I got a call from 503-403-2665 and they asked for someone I know but has never lived here. They've called about 10 times this week. I said she was in the shower and they gave me 800-988-8019 to call back and said it was a "personal banking matter". I called there and someone says "wells Fargo, may I have your account # please". I said no, please let me speak to your supervisor. That baffled them (not how it would work with real bank callcenter). I got transferred to someone and got into a fun verbal confrontation. I won't go into details but I told them that I didn't want to give away my information without knowing who they are "we're wells fargo, you called us". I asked for their address, she said "Portland OR", I asked for the ADDRESS and she said she needed my name and account number before she could give it out. I asked for her name "Rose", Rose-what? She pretended not to hear it... Anyway, this went on and on - I was really surprised they didn't hang up. Oh - I asked her for the Wells Fargo trading symbol and she said she couldn't give away any more information without knowing who I am! Oh it was fun!

I'm going to call Wells Fargo with this information but I suspect they'll say they can't do anything about it.

Guess Congress is too wrapped up in money issues to save us from the predators!

I have no business with Wells Fargo, no credit cards, no loans, no nothing, but this number calls me 3-5 times a day and they don't answer and do not leave a message, they call me on my cell phone so they are wasting my minutes. Losers!

They have called my cell phone 29 times since May 2th. I have received 3 calls from them this morning. They are also using 503-403-2665, 503-403-2670 and 515-327-3019. It is Wells Fargo calling about my credit card account. I don't answer unknown calls but found out from my billing statement that I was $5.00 over my limit. My account is now current and I am still getting calls every day.

Caller asked for another member of our household.
I asked "Who is this?" He said "Wells Fargo Bank".
He wouldn't give any other informtion.
Just gave me the number 800-988-8019 to have them call.
I asked where that number was located, he said Oregon.
I called 503-403-2665. Another man answered. Said that it was Wells Fargo. I asked where were they located. He said Iowa. I said that I received a call from Oregon.

If they call more than 3 times per day, it may be illegal. Research the laws on debt collectors, and if need be, file a complaint.

I already sent them a message telling them to tell me what they want or leave me alone. So far, option 2 is their response. I'm just fine with that.

I have received hundreds of phone calls from 1 503 403 2667 on my cell phone which I bought in May 2007, and am still receiving calls as of today Oct 25, 2007. I bought the phone for emergency use only and no one should have my name and number. Also getting calls from 2666, 2665, 2664, 2670 and 2671. I notice that now my phone only rings once and then they hang up. Then 10 seconds later I get an anonymous call. Then it starts over again. I wish someone would post a message here with any information that they have in how to deal with this really really unreasonable intrusion into peoples lives. Do I need to get a new phone number or what? Thanks.

Called early this morning - 6/8/07 - after I said "hello" several times, caller hung up. This was the first of these calls, but I expect it won't be the last.
We have had our phone number here for just a year and regularly receive collection calls for various people we've never heard from.
