Vanguard will never ask you for your password. They already have all your info. This guy is trying to rip off
your retirement account. I called vanguard and verified this number is a fake number. Call yourself.

Legit call from Vanguard. A specific rep who's been assisting me with an estate matter there just called from that number and left a voice message.

I received a call this morning from the 480-713-5000 number. They said they were Vanguard, and they knew my name and asked to answer a security question before proceeding. I explained that I was uncomfortable doing that and asked if I could call them back so I knew who I was talking to. They said I could use the number on the Vanguard website, but also gave me 800-823-7413. I chose to use the number on the company's website instead, and when I called, they did confirm the note the other person had mentioned writing. So apparently the call was legit, but it never hurts to be careful with these things!

I got a call today. Looks very suspicious even it may be from Vanguard or related business. Vanguard should either stop calling with this number or publish it.

A man called me from this number and claimed to be with Vanguard. He said he was calling about a meeting regarding my account. I had made no appointments for any meetings with Vanguard, so I became very suspicious. He confirmed my name but shared no further information, apologizing that he must have called the wrong number.

I didn't answer but when I called back, their phone system said it was the Vanguard group. Still, dont be a sucker, never ever give out personal info over the phone to someone who calles you no matter how convincing the caller is. If it is truly important, have them corrospond in writing.

Received call from this number. Claimed to be Vanguard, and told me to access my account to vote for proxy. Very suspicious. I ended the conversation when the caller began to ramble on about the proxy statements.

This is a legitimate Vanguard number. It's their Scottsdale, Arizona retirement services office. I called Vanguard directly 800-523-1188) to confirm this.

This number was indicated in my cell caller log. Caller left message to call another number (also for Vanguard) and a work item reference ID. I called the number left on voice-mail and spoke to a customer service rep who had a relevant question for me. The call from 480 713 5000 was genuinely from Vanguard.

Called from Vanguard group. Claimed that I have a check from JPMorgan Bank that is marked to roll over into my 401k account. The only problem is I've never had a JPMorgan account. It seemed kind of creepy, but could have been an innocent mistake. I was never asked for and never gave personal information.

I got the same call and had a creepy feeling about it. Then I called Vanguard to confirm, and they indicated it was legit. However, if I saw this posting here, I'd not trust me and call VG.

I got a call from this number. They asked to verify my address and last four of my social security number. They did have a lot of information about my account so I trusted it. Maybe a bad idea.
