do not call list works so well~kind of like rest of our Government works ~pass all the laws you want but cant fund enforcement of many of them!!
Caller said they were looking for information on anyone I know who might be looking to buy a home in my area as they just listed one.
When I questioned how they got my number, they said they got it from a white page app.
As soon as I indicated that my number wasn't listed and that its a cell, they immediately said thanks and hung up.
My question is, why do these so call legitimate business hide their true name as "unavailable or unknown" on caller ID? This caller with the number 480 409 1961 left a strange unintelligible message on my voice mail before hanging up. A sure way to detect a scammer or shady telemarketer.
This caller stated they are exempt from the Do Not Call list. Stated they can help reduce your credit card interest rates for free! All they needed was your credit card numbers. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREIT CARD NUMBERS OUT. Sure the service is free while they charge your cards

They are a non profit and called to do a survey, like 4 quick questions. Googled them while on the phone and they are legit & registered, didn't ask for money or anything
I called the number back and the message said that they are Financial Solutions, a non-profit. Still don't know why they called.
Called at 4:45; I answered after 2 rings, strange clunck/click sound but no answer to my "hello". Presume it is some type of debt collector, the previous owner of my phone number has quite a few calls for her - but no actual information.
