this number has been calling my daughter who is under 18 years old and myself. they have3 been requesting someone who does not live here and when asked how they got our numbers they reply that theres no one with our phone numbers in there system...wow really..nrs needs real help when it comes to good customer service and customer relations. the lack of information leads me to believe that this co is a scam and should be stoped.
Scam number. Do not give anyone from this number your information. Do not even answer.
automated muffled message couldn't even understand who they wanted.. love answering machines and their delete button now on to ATT to block those suckers... = )
I got the call/voice mail from 800-387-4533
) left extn# too. When I called back them, they told me they are some recovery agencies and keep me on hold for sometime....very rude and spoke so fast I could just hardly make out.....very annoying. is there a way we can make a complaint against them?
Wanted my social security number to give me any info. I would not give it to them. Calling for a name of no one in my immediate family.
IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THIS COMPANY, LET THEM KNOW ALL ABOUT IT. CALL ROB STAHL AT 214-274-4440

EX EMPLOYEE Sep 30th, 2008
Has called several times asking for owner. will not properly identify company or their business. Have become belligerent or have just hung up when I offer to take a message. Today, I called the phone number back & asked for the man who just called me & then hung up on me (Shane). He said he didn't know me. So I hung up. 5 minutes later Edward Sandler called & again proceeded to argue with me & insist I put the owner on the phone. I have phone number now & I will be giving that phone number out to other solicitors, insisting that the phone number belongs to the owner & is his personal cell phone.

Edward Sandler 469-521-0450
called and asked for certain people in the office, who genuinely weren't in. he said 'great' 'nice one' 'you're great at your job' i called the number back and he changed the names of who he was looking for said, he could only speak to them when I asked what it was regarding. he was very rude. i don't know the company name but when i called back a different person answered and he said there were 1600 employees that work there. if any one has any info, please post
I have been getting calls from Nationwide Recovery for well over two months now from 903-266-3955
. I don't answer the phone if I don't recognize the number but I finally did a Google search and like many of you, ended up here. The caller, when they do leave a message on the answering machine, talks fast and mumbles the name of whoever it is their looking for, and I know it isn't my husband or I because we have no past or present debt. After reading what some of you have written, I'm not going to let them intimidate me. I will go a different route and find out from Nationwide the company's name that gave them my phone number, then contact the company who hired them to collect past debts and deal with them instead. I recommend going to the Dallas, TX BBB website, looking up Nationwide Recovery and then scroll down to Industry Tips and read the second paragraph, especially if this collection agency is crossing the line (cursing, argumentative).
Didn't know the proper name of person he was supposedly calling.
Needed to speak with our companies CFO - Not availabble and he hung-up the phone
This number showed up on my caller ID on my cell phone, but no message was left & I didnt recognize the number so i googled it and found this site, funny thing is i have tried 3 times to return the call and the phone has been busy
Debt collector, many Cingular accounts, d/b/a Wilson, NRS, "Nationwide". Rude and incompetent. Also inclined to violations of the FDCPA, though they will tell you they are not - oddly, citing specific things in the FDCPA that are not actually in the FDCPA. (Either they are just making it up, or they have a trainer who intentionally misleads them. Regardless, record your calls.) Also prone to yelling and swearing, from what I understand. They will claim to be allowed to call 1x per day, and requests to stop must be in writing; politely request them to stop, record your call, and take them to small claims in your state - look at creditboards.com for info on how to do this effectively.
A guy named 'Clay' called and wanted to speak to the owner of our company. He tried to say he and the owner were close and that the owner was expecting his call. When I said the owner (me) was out of the office, he promptly hung up.
Very Rude Man by the name of Ken, if they are trying to sale a service they provide, they
will get no where acting like that.
Asked for our retired president by name. Then asked to speak to CFO. When I was not fast enough they hung up.
Calls asks to speak with my partner, States just let him know Clay is on the phone. I ask what company he is with, he states The Abby Group. Just let him know Clay Abby with the Abby Group is on the phone, I will hold Thank you.
The caller ID reads Call Center 469-521-0539. I then tell Clay to have a nice day and hang up.
we get calls from this number frequently....they always give a different company name and caller name. Beware!
frustrated Apr 16th, 2008
They called my office phone, and left a message. When I called them back the first thing out of the girls mouth was "what's your Social Security Number?" Pretty sure it's a fraud, because they should have my social, and they sure as hell shouldn't need it to look anything up.
Said his name was Mark. Wanted the President of the company, but would not say what he wanted.
Left a message for me at work. They mumbled uninteligably and said I (or whoever it was they said they were calling for) NEED to call them back about some correspondence they sent. Said it was Ashley (ext 3626) but not who she was with.
Going to prank call her later.
CALLING FOR SOME OTHER NAME
They say they are attempting to colloect for a debt of 42.65. They want my credit card or check by phone. This is all automated and when you try to connect to a person it tells you no one is available and that they will call you back. Then it hangs up on you! Don't you think that the amount would change due to interest or late fees if it wa really a bill but over 4 months the total is the same. They never tell you who the bill is for and never talk to you. Seems like they are phishing for financial info. They seems to target seniors and women...
who are they... we've never gotten a correspondance
Been getting calls on my cell from this number for almost a year now. I don't answer it.
some lady asking for someone that doesnt live here... I told her I have lived in this apt since aug 07, and the whole time by my self.. When I asked how she got my number, she said something about its was listed as who she was looking for's alternate number.. She then said she would take me off the list.. Never heard from again!!
So I get this call from the number 469-521-0539, and also 972-798-1067
, and I made the mistake of picking up the phone. (I had no idea who it was or anything of the like), and they told me that I owed some money to Cingular, which I do. The person on the phone went by the name of Karen Smart, and she was EXTREMELY rude to me throughout the entire conversation. She wanted my bank account number, wanted the money up front, and the whole nine yards. I tried to politely tell her that I didn't have the money, but she just got angrier and basically told me that I was useless, and that useless people shouldn't own cell phones. That was from the 972 number listed.
Just today, at work, the 469 number called me. I picked up and told the person that I wasn't there, and asked if I could take a message. He was extremely vague, would NOT let me take a message. I hard somewhere that this was a violation of law. Is this true? I would absolutely love to bring these people down for what they are trying to do to me and to others.
If you get a call from this number, DO NOT pick it up. They will start treatening you with jail time and all of these other things. OH! And I forgot a small detail.
They DO want your checking account number or a credit card number.
I offered to put the full amount of my bill on a VISA gift card, and they would not take it.
I do believe that they are trying to scam people out of their money.
called from the same number above , asked for my husband, i said he is not here and she hung up. Curious as to who it was a female calling my husband I googled the number and this is what I found. Thanks to all. I will no longer answer this call.
We have caller ID so I was looking forward to what they would say since it was calling from a call center. He asked for our president by name, when I asked him who was calling he rattled off a name real fast and didn't volunteer the company name so I had to drag that out of him he said Wilson Enterprises, so I just dumped him into voice mail. He transferred back to me but hung up before I answered.
calls my prepaid cell phone at least once a day looking for a man that I don't even know, about some papers they sent him.
This is an obvious scam. I always pay my bills in full and on time. I received a call yesterday, 11/8/07. An automated voice said I owed money and that my credit rating was in danger if I did not pay immediately. When I chose the option of speaking to a person, a recording said no one was available and that they would call back.
I will ask my local District Attorney's office what to do and to whom this should be reported.
Guy calls asks for President bu first name only. I say unavailable.
he says " Who is this then, you tell me what he wants"
i say, sorry sir, would like to leave a message?. he says "what are trying to sell me?
I tell him I can take a message.
He asks me why I am being rude, then hangs up.
I have been getting calls from them for about a month now. They leave a voicemail for someone we have never heard of. I did a little digging to see what I could find. Neither the number they are calling from nor the 800 number they say to call back on is listed on the NRS website. I also pulled up NRS at the BBB and these numbers are not listed with them either.
This just showed up on my cell phone.
Thanks to this site.
He said he will take me out of the calling list.
I hate these people.
Two calls today. Both times did not leave a message. I have never had an account with CIngular so that could not possibly be why they are calling me. I will pursue further if they call when I am home.
Call from this no. said he was Bill Wilson from Wilson Industries and he wouldn't identify his location then hung up on me. Probably some type of sales pitch.
They called my cell this afternoon. They said they had talked to my husband this morning and he had given his okay for a payment. They said my husband said I would give them the routing number and bank info. They were extremely rude and harrassing. They said my electricity would be cut off for nonpayment. We haven't been with TXU for over a year.
I have an update I asked the guy on the phone what NRS stands for and he says this is the entire company name. But digging on internet shows that NRS = Nationwide Recovery Systems and their website is www.NRS.us. I guess they are too new to get a .com domain.
Anyway, I do not know why they are so rude even when I tell them they have wrong number and then they don't give out company info.
If they call you ask for the name of the CEO of company and then this will get them to act right (hopefully). If not file a complaint with Texas Attorney General - here are links to help you: http://www.oag.state.tx.us/AG_Publications/txts/debt.shtml and http://finance.google.com/finance?cid=10752605
This guy was totally rude and obnoxious telling me that he was with NRS about an urgent matter ... but I could hear kids crying in the background and then when I asked him for more details about his company he just kept repeating "the company is NRS my number is 800-387-5658
- and gave a file #". Then I asked him for the Corporate address and he said he would not give this to me. ** Who makes "official" calls with kids screaming in the background? ** Doesn't seem very legit to me.
I've now gotten at least one call per day from this number since Friday, 9/21/07. They claimed to be from a collection agency and were unduly rude. I'm filing a complain with the TX Atty Gen. office as a collection agency cannot be rude or harassing in their attempts to collect a debt. I do not owe anything with Cingular either as my account has been closed for 2+ years.
I asked to see information in writing from them and said "So you are refusing to pay the debt?" and transferred me over to a "supervisor" who was even ruder saying they would pursue it in court.
If you have any outstanding debt, call and deal with Cingular/ AT&T directly and DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL! DO NOT CAVE INTO THIS HARRASSMENT! Report them to the athorities - better business bureau, TX atty general's office, etc.
Calls and leaves a six digit callback number with extension.
Third Eye Fish Sep 07th, 2007
just called me: because I didn't answer due to unknown #left message,
"who the f*** is this"
I get a call from this number all the time. When I try to read the script from junkbusters on the do not call protocol, they get really angry and have sworn at me. I no longer answer them.
Called our work and asked for our boss using a name NO ONE calls him. He accused my receptionist of lying to him. I can't wait to speak personally with this Doug Bradshaw 469-521-0539
Said they were nation-wide. sounded like a 16-20 year old girl. asked if i was on drugs...
Got a call claiming to be from fed ex when I asked for a tracking number they hung up!
Wonder if FEDEX knows they are doing this?
WARNING - WARNING - WARNING
These people are identity thieves. They already have SOME of your information, and they are trying to get more. You can call them back at 800-387-4533
. Try asking for Anthony Moy, and ask him to remove your number. Tell him the name they asked for so he can look it up. Tell him that person does not live at that number and you have no idea who that person is. They don't want to waste time fishing in barren waters, so the calls will probably stop after that. But DO NOT - REPEAT - DO NOT give them any personal information.
I get a call on my message machine which music, then some one picks up and doesn't get that it's my machine....
they keep calling.
Get call on my cell phone I am in AZ. I never answer it but they are calling me and I am on the DNC List. I am reporting them to the government DNC list
These people called me and were VERY rude and VERY unhelpful. They told me my wife owed a debt at my address I lived at BEFORE I EVEN KNEW HER! When I tried to explain this to them, they just said they were going to have to push it further, and hung up on me.
Very rude, and I'm SURE this is a scam.
Tony Harry (if that is his real named) called my company asking for a former company president from over 5 years ago. He claimed I should tell him that it is Tony from National and he would know who he was.
I told him that president has not been here for years and he needs to update his list. He just hung up after that, hopefully, he won't call anymore.
It is a collection agency. They called Saturday morning at 8:41am. I had an outstanding bill for an ambulance trip which I had been paying on a little at a time. The bill is legit, but I was surprised that they reported to collections since I was paying on it. The rep was persistent in getting me to pay over the phone "to clear the account immediately" but I kept saying I didn't feel comfortable with giving that info over the phone. She said the line is recorded and if something illegal happened, I would have proof. I told her that I work in the financial industry and I do not feel comfortable with giving bank or credit card info over the phone and that I will mail payment in full. She gave me her number and extension and asked that I call her with the total amount and check number so she can note the account.
This is a debt collection agency.
Someone named Reuban Banks called looking for someone who doesn't live here nor has the phone number they called and mentioned it was regarding some correspondence they received. This smells of violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
I've had my cell for a month, and received the first call from 469-521-0539 a week later. I answered and they asked for Angel. I replied that there was no Angel, and they were polite about it, and hung up. I deleted the call. I just received another call from the same number, but it disconected before I could answer...it didn't even ring. I put the phone number into Google, wound up here, and I can't believe this has been going on for almost a full year, and continues on. Who the hell are these people? Frikkin' Scammers. grrrrr.
"Mark" calls asking to speak with X. I say, he's not in right now, would you like to leave a message? He says something like well, if you tell him it's "Mark" I'm sure he'll take the call. I again tell him he's not here and he says another stupid thing about telling him that "Mark" is waiting on the line to speak with him after he gets off the phone. I tell him AGAIN, he's not in and then he wants his voice mail, which is me. Ignorance beyond belief.
Liz Tungate Jun 19th, 2007
Called and played music on my answering machine and said hello. The number is busy when I call back
Keeps calling asking for "Mark Ez". There is no such person here. We have asked two times to be taken off this company's list. I was hung up on today when I asked that this be done.
This company (?) has been calling our cell phone several times a week and asking for a "Mark Ez". We have called twice and ask that they don't call us as they have a wrong phone number listed in their database. I was hung up on today when I asked the guy to take our number off the list. I feel violated (We are paying for the cell phone calls.) and harrassed. Today my husband will call the phone company and tell them about these calls via a formal complaint.
They called, and i talked for a min, and then got online and searched the number and found this, they called back and got very lippy with me when i said ive found this out to be a fraud.
For more information on this scammer and to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, go to this website: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/118/RipOff0118330.htm.
Also, you can call them back at 800-387-4533
If you've already sent them some information, DON'T send them any more! When you lie down with pigs, you don't get anything but dirty.
VERY RUDE, NASTY, WOULD NOT ACCEPT HE HAD THE WRONG NUMBER
caller id #469-521-0539 says needs to speak to Tom....says he is Kevin from Everhart...says if Tom doesn't want to go to jail, put him on the phone....when I say there is no Tom here, he says you are lying and hangs up
VERY RUDE-TELLING ME I SELL CRACKER JACKS AND WOULDN'T TELL ME WHERE HE WAS FROM.
I am trying to fix having been a victim of identity theft. A moron calling himself Adrian called me from this number saying I owe HIM money. No other info given. Told him f off.
THIS Number called on 5/30/07 & acted like they were in trouble and said my name and continued to breath hard on the phone... any one had this happen?
I just got my new Cingular phone yesterday and someone called my number from 469-521-0539. I missed the call but no one left a message. Gurrr...I just got this number hope they dont keep calling.
It is an automatic caller saying that they are a collection agency. They ask you to identify yourself, then they ask for a paying method.
Keep having them call me. Told my husband I owed on an old Cingular bill. Wanted him to pay with CC. He told them he'd call Cingular. They hung up.
im tired of that number i recieve a call everyday sometimes three pretty embarassing when u got bill collectors calling you around friends and you dont even owe money they can kiss my ass rudist phone calls ive recieved in my life and they have the wrong number i always have some man or woman calling me up asking for some guy ive never even heard of before and tell me im lying and they dont wanna tell me who they are
This guy called twice using 800-387-5658
He ask for my last name, i ask why and who they are, he was not willing to give me any information and hung up the phone on me twice. I think some legal action has to be followed...look at the time all this people wasting on this site comment section alone!
Received call this AM asking for Darlene. I have received many collection calls for Darlene and Chuck since I got my new phone number nine months ago. So this has to be another collection agency. The caller was extremely rude, accusing me of knowing Darlene and hiding her from him. This caller was very harrasing to someone who has nothing to do with him or his client. He and his company should be put out of business.
Received a message on a business phone. Gentleman made the comment that we had to be kidding him for having an answering machine for our company phone line. He laughed and hung up.Tried to call the number back and get a busy signal.
I just receive a call from them. was for my dad and the guy was reallllly rude ... just hang uo on them or give them actitude jojo
Claim to be "NRS" and refused to tell me what they were or what NRS stood for without me giving up my personal information. I told them that if they would not identify themselves that I would hang up. Only once in three months of daily calls have they ever identified themselves as "National Recovery Systems".
NRS What a pain in the Butt these guys are! Collecting for Cingular. I don't mind paying my bills but I have a dispute with Cingular about this bill and can't get anywhere with them. Now these Jokers are calling.
Don't answer this number!!
They do not identify themselves, but instead say immediately "Hello xxxx??". I responded they had the wrong number and they said thanks and hung up.
I have ignored this one, I don't answer any "unknown" caller ID #. If you tell them they are looking for the wrong person they don't believe you anyway. On some calls from otherunknown, I have started answering "
fraud division, how may I direct your call?" then hangup.
Called a bunch for the last few weeks - every few days. Usually looking for Janay. When I asked who he was calling from he said in a rude voice "Do you know Janey?"

I get a call from 469-521-0539 once a day on my job. The dialog is the same with different people calling each day. First we have Donnie to call 800-387-5658
ext.2495, then we have Selina ext. 2424, Mike ext.2497 and Chris ext.2423 to name a few. They call from the 469 number but want you to call back on the 800-387-5658
stating in regards to correspondence sent to me. I have never heard of these people and I'm getting tired of these calls. I refused to answer the calls but I do intend to find out if I can stop these annoying calls on my job. These people need to be stopped.
These idiots call my house constantly. It has been explained more than once that there is nobody here by the name they are asking for. Good grief my wife switched to verizon a couple years ago due to terrible coverage and poor billing on the part of cingular, thank god she switched! If Cingular would hire an idiotic telemarketer such as this I am thrilled to not be doing business with cingular!! VERY happy with verizon wireless and considering adding broadband for our laptops!
Avoid Cingular Feb 23rd, 2007
These guys are a pain. Their web site is:
They keep calling and it wasn't until after 20 or so times of me telling them I the wrong person for them to give up.
This company has called us several times looking for the same person. I have told them that they don't live here. Even told them how long I've had this phone number and that the address they have doesn't match mine. Told the guy this info last night (the 21st) and again today. The guy said the same thing, "will make a note of it". Yeah right, next time they call, I'm gonna tell them "hey man, dave's not here!"
This person/company knew that we had an account with a bank and the amount owed. He claimed to be that bank on the phone with my wife. Fortunately, she did not give info. The bank said they do not call people out on these types of accounts. This may be criminal.
Got another call from them today! I told them on the 8th to take this number off of their list b/c my ex husband who has NOT lived with me at this phone number! The automated thing said that he owed money to CINGULAR in the amount of $54. He has not had a cell phone in his name since 1997!!! And he does NOT owe them $54! How do I turn these ppl in for fraud??? I told the rude guy I talked to today to take this number off their list..just like I asked them to do on the 8th!
kirste anderson Feb 12th, 2007
Keep getting calls for my ex husband that has never lived with me while I have had this number. I called the 800 # listed on here and the girl was nothing but a smart ass when I told her to stop calling this number!
Left vm suggesting it was a medical emergency. Being good citizen, I called them back to tell them they had the wrong number. Attendant said "Well I never called you" in a threatening manner. I lowered my voice to a barely controlled anger decibal and replied that CID showed her company did. She then asked who was the company trying to reach? I told her the name was almost inaudible but it sounded something like 'Melinda Mendoza' Attendant then corrected me "No, it was a different last name. Ok - I got it." Then she hung up on me!
This is very strange.
PS - None of those names are anything like the names of this phone number.
Called and did not leave message - this is my cell phone and I do not answer when I don't have info
Whoever it is, is calling my cell phone and if I view who's calling, I get charged! I call the # back from my land line and it's always busy. Hope my wireless service isn't doing shady business. Just a thought.
guy called and cussed at me when i wouldn't reveal my identity. fuck this company. dialed 1-800-387-4533
and spoke with sean james. he said he removed my number from the list.
calls every morning same time no message. Call back it beeps.
I got a phone call from this number today 1/16/07 and the person (Nikki) spoke so fast, I could not make out anything she was saying....I tried to write down the phone number she gave, but I couldn't get through at all...I guess I'll just wait for them to call again...hey, at least I tried to call them back
They left a message for the 800 #, so I called and asked what it was in regards to. They said my wife owed Cingular $170 and was getting complaints at work about it! I immediatelt knew these people were full of it. She proceeded to tell me that she'd have the phone cut off. After laughing and explaining that we were not only with NTelos, but current on our bill, she argued and called me a liar. After giving her a couple of thoughtful nicknames to go by, I hung up and haven't heard back.
Claim to be "NRS" and refused to tell me what they were or what NRS stood for without me giving up my personal information. I informed the woman "Tiffany" that it was a violation of federal communication laws to not give me her information first and she refused again. While I was attempting to demand for their information, she asked if I was "Chad" after tacking at her keyboard for a minute. I did not give up any information about me and so now I know they can TRACE calls as well--another violation of federal law! I've filed a complaint with the FCC and Federal Trade Commission.
calling several time and asking for some name or other crap
called once last week. Just called today 1/05/2007 10:38 am. Caller ID shows as unknown name. I did not answer, they hung up when machine answered.

FROM NRS..i GET 2 A DAY
Does anyone know how to forward a particular phone number to a certain number (ie, when a collection agency calls to have it roll to somewhere else)
