They didn’t even say they were from MICROSOFT!! They said they were SSO (police) saying there was suspicious activity and that they needed to speak to me then hung up. Do not give out any info.
Just got a call from this number. Didn't take the call. They didn't leave a message. Sounds like a scam. I am blocking the number.
Constantly calling using automated voice with your first name saying it's very important Beware

Woman (with horribly broken English) claiming to be from Microsoft with an open ticket for my issue. I never have called MS for anything. Obviously a low-life scum trying to scam people or hack their computer.
I created a tech support request for Microsoft 365 on a genuine support number. I got a call back from this number about the issue. It COULD be a contracted out service but they either are or work on behalf of Microsoft Product Support.
I have received 3 calls from this number in as many days. Did not answer any of them. I use Microsoft products and recently had an issue with Windows that required Microsoft tech support. If that's how these scammers got my number, I am terribly disappointed.
Someone called me from this number twice. Especially when I was in the middle of handling bank related information on the phone.
I did not take the call. I called the number afterwards and it went to VM with indiacting that the call was from Microsoft Corp.
I was called yesterday from this number saying they know ware I live and is going to kill me they are nothing but child molesters at that phone number
Just got a call from this number. A lady with a thick Arabic accent said something about meeting me at work in 5 minutes. I asked her "Are you sure you got the right number?" She said "Yes" So I said "Ok,see you then."
male voice immediately said "wrong number" soon as I said "hello".
I called the Federal Trade Commission,888-382-1222
, and registered a complaint for the multiple harassing phone calls I have been receiving on my cell phone from this phone number purporting to be from Microsoft. I also called Microsoft to report the incidents to them and was told that the number was not affiliated with Microsoft. Microsoft checked my cell # and had no record of my number in their system. As I have Apple devices, not Microsoft, I would like to know how this scammer accessed my number.
Yesterday, I received a call at work. My secretary told me it was "Lou Witt" calling from Microsoft. I took the call, but the line was dead. My work Caller ID says "MICROSOFT CORP" and the phone number on the Caller ID says this number.
Today, I received a call on my cell phone. The Caller ID indicated this number. I said hello multiple times and the line was quiet. Then, a man with good English and a slight accent said "This is Lou Witt. I'm just calling to find out if your computer is working today". I said it was working fine, and he hung up.
My work number is very public. My cell number is not as public. Because I don't know Microsoft to initiate a call to me asking generally how everything is going, my concern is that an organization has the capability to impersonate Microsoft Caller ID.
Does anybody know how to ask Microsoft if any outgoing calls came from their switchboard to me in the last two days? At least that would determine whether the calls are actually originating from within Microsoft.
Beware these folks are predators and they have no connection with Microsoft either. They will give you code info stolen from web and guide you through scam, while internally scanning your computer! Don't be fooled it caused 100$ through Microsoft to repair what hackers done. Be mindful.

Missed the M$ call. Did not return their call because it was not free. Returned my defective M$ laser mouse earlier this month. I think this is a legitimate call from M$.
Microsoft. Called regarding research study I had signed up for.
It is Microsoft. I placed a customer complaint via email and this is the number that called me to resolve the complaint.
MicroSoft Tech Support, called my business - it was a Tech Support call that I was expecting. They left a very thorough message, with call back information.
They called and after ringing 2 times, I answered, they hung up.
They called 15 seconds later, I answered, and greeted them with our company name.... no response, then they hung up.
They called 15 seconds later, I answered with no greeting, a guy asked a question about our company, said thanks and hung up.
You received a voice mail from (425) 882-8080
Caller-Id: (425) 882-8080
Yes my name is *BLAH BLAH* I'm trying to reach *YADDA YADDA* so he's call me at 253-735-3200
it is important and time sensitive please refer case number *NUMBER NUMBER* thank you.
Digging up 253-735-3200
gives us "Accelerated Collection Service, Inc.". The number has been flagged for harassment and the business practices turned over to the Washington State General Attorney. IT IS NOT OWNED BY Microsoft Corp.
Wrong number looking for somebody else with my name. No reason given.
Two months earlier someone else called wanting to buy my Toyota. I've never owned one.
Missed my call from M$'s switchboard, although it would indicate it was likely originating from somewhere in the Pacific NW complex (sovereign territory?), they left no message, no way to track the call back. I'll always wonder what they wanted...
This is the central Microsoft switchboard, and reflects some calls that may come from MS call centers. Few consumers would receive calls from this number - mostly businesses.
