Annoying
 Nov 16th, 2010
T.D has been calling, saying it's a courtesy call asking for my husband. Wondered why they never spoke to me as it's a joint account. First thinking it was really T.D I told them the only time they could speak to him since he works odd hours. At 6:45pm tonight a long distance call came in, I answered the phone as most of my family are long distance, as soon as I said hello they hung up. I *69 the call, got the number and then found this blog finding out it's telemarketing, I will be contacting the bank and tell them to take us off this and any other thing they are trying to sell!!!!! will also call the number someone left on an earlier blog which is 416-256-1800 x6521 and an email address from another frustrated person which is toronto@gemmacom.com and tell them if they do not remove they will be charged with harrassment and the better business bureau will be notified, see how they like that!!!!

This company keeps calling but fails to answer on their end. How annoying. They shouldn't be allowed to have a phone. This is their contact info. You can have your number removed from their list.

They call and hang up. This is what I have found out and done. Hope it helps.

The company is Gemma Communications: www.gemmacom.com
The president is Stephen Gross. 1-416-256-1800 Call this number and get into the company directory and enter 4767 for the first 4 letters of his last name and you should get his mail box. I left a message saying I would call him and waste his time every time they called me. I also sent an email requesting my number be removed and I actually got response. I will see if it works.

I too am getting these calls...two and three a night...I knew they were from CIBC mastercard because they called one night and I spoke to them..told them not interested in changing cards but they continue to call...There is never anyone on the line when I pick up but tonight after reading comments here I waited and finally a woman answered and I told her stop it take me off the list and she said well you do know it can take up to three months...I said if it does you can tell Gemma your employer..they will be receiving a call from my lawyer for harrassment...I hung up on her........I phoned CIBC personally 1-800-465-2422 and just push 0 and waited to speak to an agent...I told her exactly what was going on and let her know about this site...she called the number and indeed it was Gemma Communications 416-256-1800 or 1-800-391-9421 Toronto. She said it is not CIBC but rather an outsourcing company and she is passing the info on to her managers to let them know how these people are affecting our lives and what the response is. I told her I was posting the CIBC number for everyone to call and complain and she said that it is the best thing to do as she herself has received these annoying phone calls. She said if more people call in they can have more power to stop these idiots...so call!

For everyone whose received calls from Gemma Communications, its time for a little payback.

All you need to do is call 416-256-1800 and 416-256-6479 repeatedly, and then say nothing until the secretary on the other end hangs up. Then repeat.

Give the bastards a taste of their own medicine I say.

I tried calling the number back but it wouldn't go through. I looked it up, and I called the head office in Toronto, and was connected to a voice mail of the quality assurance person. I left a message with my phone number.
