I HOPE IT IS VERIZON FIOS, UNFORTUNATELY I MISSES THE CALL
Pressed button on my little device that plays a message telling them "I'm sorry, this number does not accept this type of call. Please regard this message as your notification to remove this number from your list. Thank you." It then hangs them up.
Says its Verizon calling to offer a free business telecommunications analysis to save money. Interestingly, says to call 877-728-7469
to speak to a rep about this, but wants you to call 410 910 0614 to ask to be put on their do not call list.
Telemarketing SPAMmers saying they're Verizon. They're not, and the caller ID is spoofed too.
We block them!
They no can haz cheezburgerz no more - bye bye SPAMmer!

I got a call from this too. It was a recording of a smiley sounding voice saying thanks for being a Verizon customer, and in return they'll give me a complimentary review of my business telecommunications needs! Wow. I hung up.
It's amazing this thread goes back to 2008.
I had enough of "Verizon Jane," so I sent "her" a nasty letter......

Verizon - Maryland
1 E. Pratt Street
Baltimore, MD 21202
At 4:52 p.m. on July 22, 2009, a “Jane from Verizon” message was left
on the answering machine that is connected to my land line,
xxx-xxx-xxxx. As in the past, this call came from 410-910-0614, and as
always, I did not let the message go beyond “Hi, I am Jane from
Verizon.” I am not interested in what you are selling.
I am on the Federal Trade Commission’s “Do Not Call” list. You do not
and have never had my permission to call me for telemarketing purposes.
As a matter of fact, I sent you an email at your verizon.com website a
while back requesting the same. I don’t remember when because I did
not save a copy of the email, but I am sure that I did send the email
because I remember my making a remark about Jane’s voice being
obnoxious. I erroneously thought that Verizon, being a large phone
company, would honor my request without further hassles. Apparently,
my request was ignored. Thus, my documentation for possible legal
action has started. As far as my Caller ID device’s memory has
allowed, I know that calls from 410-910-0614 were made to my home
phone, xxx-xxx-xxxx, at the following dates and times (EDT):
7/7, 3:32 p.m.; 6/16, 10:50 a.m.; 6/2, 2:09 p.m.; 5/29, 1:38 p.m.;
5/27, 2:35 p.m.; 5/22, 5:07 p.m.; 5/21, 8:32 p.m.; 5/21, 12:04 p.m.;
5/20, 11:37 a.m., and 5/18, 2:36 p.m.
Sometimes “Jane” left a pre-recorded message, but sometimes not.
I want you to STOP these robocalls to my phone immediately. Do NOT
ignore me this time. If you persist with using an automated dialer and
leaving me pre-recorded messages without my prior consent, you will be
violating Title 47, United States Code, Section 227. Indeed, I believe
that you have violated the statute already.

I called this number to see who it belonged to and the message was "hi, this is Justin and I do NOT work for verizon."
Caller ID says Out of Area. Verizon keeps spending all kinds of money try ing to get people to switch to Fios. They should give a break on price of phone service.
These people are calling no less than twice a day and frankly, i am fed up with them !! Called the return phone number and requested we be taken off their calling list and she complied telling me that it takes 30 days to go into effect. We shall see, after July the 18th. these calls better cease all together or i am changing my phone service land line and cell phone !!!!!!!!!
Automated recording selling some concert tickets claiming to be from Verizon. recording gave phone number to call to be removed from their telemarketing list. I called, but they would not take me off the list unless I gave them additional information in addition to phone number.
This number called, Verizon showed on the caller ID. A recording saying he was "Tom" from Verizon wanting to let me know how I could win a vacation.
i did not answer, as usual

No answer when I picked up the call
If Verizon keeps this crap up, they will lose my cell phone and land line business all together. Being a phone service company you would think that they would know better than that.
Automated message from Verizon. We received the call few times, but no message was left in our voice mail until I got it this afternoon. Apparently, the message was about some promotions on Bravos...blah... blah... At least it was mentioned at the end of the message that "If you wish to be placed on the do-not-call list, please call this number 410-910-0614". Will try that and they better make sure they do not call again.
410-910-0614 is an automated call hawking Jonas brothers concert tickets. Caller ID said "Verizon"
Why is Verizon calling the house and hanging up or just not saying anything ???? If they keep it up, eventually someone else is going to land my phone business.
Verizon calling, you have to say hello four or more times before the recording says something about some up and coming specials that they want to share with you. Just annoying, that's all.
Verizon was on the caller ID, no one spoke nor could real humans be heard in the background. I hung up.
Verizon has a bad habit of calling during dinner and prime time.
It was Verizon calling to offer gaming for dsl or fios. Automated message. The did identify themselves on caller id and recording. I'm their customer so no big deal.
3rd call ,,No message left and then the female robot voice today-07-21-2008,,How to lose customers.
