I got a call from that # and I didn't get a chance to look at the place the call was from. I just want to know how they got my number!
I'm with Bell Mobility in Toronto. In the last week or so Ive received calls from the following numbers. I believe they are all spam. So watch out! Called bell and they said to sign up for the DO Not Call List. Too bad none of the numbers were from Canada. He also said its not Bell that sells your number but other places like Walmart, Besty Buy, the Source etc.
this is the 2nd number thats called me about an "extended car warranty" and like many others... I dont own a car... nor have I given my number to anyone... This is your phone provider selling your info!!!
i got a call from this number today and they said they were from a car warrenty business, i am 16 and i dont have my own car..
with telus, and get constant calls like this on my cell, at least 3-4x per week.
agent said from warranty services and asked for my name. told her she should know that. i told her i was interested in more info re "warranty services". call disconnected after she put me on hold after saying I'd be transfered to supervisor.
*CRTC LIST WAS SOLD FOR $50
im with Telus and i get constant calls on my cellphone from california area codes and now maryland. some company sold the "number list" for $50
Ok. wish this # would stop calling me.. it is nothing but spam on my cell!
How do we stop this????
Just received call on my cell phone (Rogers). My car renewal is over and this will be the last call, etc. so I pressed 1 for an agent. When agent pick up he noted the car I purchased after 1990 was up for renewal. I asked him which company he was calling from, and he noted "Warranty Services". He would not give me any information when I asked him which car he was calling about. Said he needed information from me before passing me on to a Warranty Supervisor who would answer my questions. He asked me for the name and make of my vehicle. I told him he should know that already, and he said that he is not privy to this confidential information, but that the Warranty Supervisor would help me after he 'qualified me'. I told him if he did not know the information he was asking for then he is not someone I am interested in speaking with, so he said he would remove my number from his list. Sounds like a major scam to me.
How do we stop this? I get one a day on my Blackberry
In Toronto on Bell Mobility... didn't pick up. Showed up as a call from Maryland
Just got a call from the same number. I had one from Vermont a few weeks ago, reverse-searched it, and actually got a name. It seems there is a new scam out there. I'm with Rogers as well.
In Ottawa- none- called my cell hone - Bell.
In Toronto, Ontario. Canada. Received on my cell phone (Rogers). No voice-mail left, I never picked up.
Just received this call, same deal about a second notice of ending car warranty. Writing from Toronto, called me at 12:50pm on my cell phone. My service provider is with Rogers, wonder if someone got their hands on a list of Rogers subscribers???
I got a call from this number this morning, but I was too late answering. When I called back, it said the number had been disconnected. All it said on the screen when it called was "Maryland".

my father answered the phone and told me it was a car warranty company. I've received calls from this car warranty company twice and when I answered, no one was on the line.
I live in Ontario Canada
Got the call 3:25pm Eastern standard time and I live in Ontario Canada!!!!! I pressed 1 to talk to an "agent" an when the male answered he asked me who he was speaking to and I asked him how he got my # an was told from my dealship that I had bought my car from and the factory warranty had run out. I then told him that it ran out years ago an he then told me that was why he was calling. So I then asked again how he got my phone# to no avail so then I asked the question of all questions What company do you work for!!!!!!!!! The reply I got was this "Thank you but you will not be hearing from us again Good bye".

Just received another call from yet another number pushing extended car warranties, it is a shame that the FCC can't track these people down and send them to Guantanamo without telephone access.

Ignored call. Googled the number as it showed up on my ID and saw it was a listed number from Maryland (cf. post from spudhead).
I just recieved a call on two differant cell phones on two differant networks one of which is a phone I just reinstated. The reverse look up I tried came back as Rita Hamlin of MD. When I tried to call it back it was disconnected.
I just got this call and didn't answer. I'm guessing it is the stupid car warranty calls that I keep getting. I no longer answer calls from area codes I don't recognize.
I didn't answer the phone, but I'm sure that it is the stupid car warrant. they change number and keep calling. How to make them stop???
