I did not answer. They left no message.
The creeps call and let it ring twice and hang up. It pays to have Caller ID and screen your calls. Stuff like this didn't happen in the 1950s. But then people who had a beef with you could ring your number and leave their phone off the hook for hours. During which time your line was tied up and you could not call out until they hung up. Who is to say things are better now?
Just got call on my landline. I register all my numbers on DNC but still get these
It's a spoofed telephone number, trolling for active phones (so they can sell the number to other asshole scammers), or pitching either the infamous "Card Services" (Rachael) scam, or the free trip to Bahamas scam. I called the number back 30 seconds after the call, and found it was an invalid (out of service) phone number.
Regarding the Bamahas cruise scam.... there are two scam companies (pretty much owned and operated by the same family of criminals) operating out of the Orlando, FL area ("Caribbean Cruise Lines" and "Bahamian Cruises"). They pitch a free cruise, only have to pay NOW (with a credit card) for taxes and port fees. They don't tell you about all the extra costs, the 2 hour high-pressure real estate sales pitch you have to sit through, or the fact you can't get a refund. It's a SCAM.... even the "costs" they charge you for are grossly inflated over actual fees. People who have given them their credit number have found all kinds of additional charges tacked onto their account.
I filed a formal, written account against one of these companies for violating DNC. I called them "criminals", "scammers", and a "fraud" in written public documents, and you know what, they didn't even blink. A legitimate company would have been howling SLANDER / LIBEL, and threatening legal action.... the fact they didn't challenge my representations of them almost proves they are a criminal operations.
They did claim in their response that all of their calls are to telephone numbers provided by a (mysterious) lead generator that scrubs their lists of numbers in the DNC database.... so that I must have "authorized" the call..... what a bunch of bullshit.
Don't let anyone you like fall for this scam.

More SPAM from Toronto. Thanks Mayor Ford!
Did not answer. No message.
@ColdCallKiller - good tip. I do the same thing, saving junk calls to a contact called "Junk call". In iOS7, you can then block that contact from future calls.

I tried calling back and got busy or fast busy (both)
I got so many free vacation to the Bahamas from these people I would never have to come home. lol they call at least 5 times a week.
Received a call. Did not pick up. I'm in the Midwest, United States. Based on reports I'm reading in this block, I'm guessing that this is a computer that is searching/seeking out numbers.
If you have a smart phone, here's what I suggest you do...
1) In your Contacts/Address Book, create a Contact with the name "DO NOT CALL" or "DO NOT ANSWER"
2) Every time an unrecognized number calls you, DON'T ANSWER--let it ring through, and then Google the number and see what sites like this, and others, say about the number.
3) If suspicious, add the number to your "DO NOT CALL" contact. On more recent phones running Android, for example... a single contact can have 20, 25, even 30 different phone numbers associated with them!
4) If your phone won't let you add any more numbers to your contact, start another contact... call it "DO NOT CALL2"... and then "DO NOT CALL3"... etc.
You'd be surprised how many of these numbers cycle around. A lot of telemarketers and scam artists use the same numbers over and over again. Florida, in particular, is a hotbed of criminal activity, especially the fraudulent telemarketer type.
