This is just the NEW number (SPOOFED to LOOK like it comes from Washington, DC) from the previous numbers which looked like they were coming from Oregon and Washington State and other places.

Numbers like:

971-208-9939
971-208-9963
425-390-8922
206-496-0957
206-496-0962
360-474-3942
321-745-9999

Of course, with the upcoming election, they are using (SPOOFING/FAKING) an area code and Caller ID ("District of Columbia" ) to make it look like they are legitimate political calls. They ARE NOT.

These calls are MOST LIKELY coming from OVERSEAS somewhere: Malaysia, Hong Kong, The Philippines, India, Pakistan, etc. "Exempt" from ALL American laws, especially the DNC List, although the OWNERS of this company are Americans who know EXACTLY what they are doing and that its CRIMINAL.

BEST to NEVER ANSWER and don't even let it go to voicemail or answering machine, if you can prevent it. Pick up/hang up immediately without answering OR press "Ignore" on your cell, if you have it, to disconnect the call and 'confuse' the robodialer. Helps cut down on number/frequency of the calls.

We got ONE call from this number tonight at 8:26PM; almost at the 9PM cut off time. We let this one go to answering machine, but in retrospect I should have known it was SPAM: there are NO LEGIT NUMBERS with a "0" as the middle number in the EXCHANGE (second set in the sequence), as it "805". Wish I taken my own advice and 'broken' the call.

It seems that this number has become active again after nearly a two year hiatus.

Back in 2010, it was used to deliver a screed against the U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka "Obamacare"). As mentioned in the earlier comment (from August 2010), the caller asked him to press 1 to sign a petition against the Act.

Today, this number is being used by the "Independent Survey Group" to conduct a prize pitch scam ("free cruise") disguised as a political survey. The same scam is also being conducted from several phone numbers. If you have room in your call block list, you could add these:

206-462-1812
206-496-0948
206-496-0953
206-496-0955
206-496-0960
206-496-0962
360-474-3942
425-390-8922
425-390-8930
503-457-1350
503-457-1358
877-852-5405
971-208-9939
971-208-9960

Called my pay-per-minute cell phone that I have never shared my number with any company just a few friends. So they are obviously calling cell phones at random. I don't answer unknown callers so they left a 2 minute voice mail asking me to participate in a 30 second "political survey" so they could sell me a cruise.

They are forcing me to PAY to listen to their crap. Please somebody figure out a way us victims can get back at these a-holes!

they keep calling my cell phone number- I don't answer as they use up my air time and I don't appreciate anyone that I don't authorize to use my cell phone number. I wish they would outlaw phone calling unless they get permission from the person they are calling.

Same company keeps calling under different phone numbers and they do not seem to understand that no one in my family could care less about doing a survey. Called on 6-26-12 at 7 p.m.

Every ONE ASK yourself if its possible to start a business on the internet that supplies numbers or a blog for people to find info about numbers that call them. Then get ya several robo callers and let them go and sit back and wait for the people to come to your site and make your monies every hour of every day. Millions look up these type numbers . ASK YOURSELF WHO PROFITS THE MOST OFF THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS WHERE THE NUMBERS DON"T MEAN SQUAT AND ARE UNTRACEABLE. REMEMBER THE MORE YOU LOOK UP THE NUMBER THE MORE THEY CALL YOU > THEY HAVE YOUR IPO ADDRESS AMONG OTHER INFO> Caller: no person talks MORE

They never speak and call daily. Bell Canada said they are getting a lot of complaints about this number. They are working on stopping them.

This number called three times today ...to my number in Canada.

The last time I looked, the US Do Not Call list doesn't accept Canadian area codes, so US phone spammers can accost Canadians with impunity.

I do not know why these subhuman turds keep changing their phone numbers, but it does not alter the fact that each phone call to me results in a complain to the FTC for a violation of the DNCL.

Don't hold your breath waiting for these spammers to be shut down. Filing a complaint with the DNC Registry snd including the NANPA info from this site is about the best you can do.

This caller left dead air on my answering machine.

Googling for more info shows that this company has been conducting a survey about the upcoming U.S. presidential election (in November, 2012). However, a few complaints have indicated some scammy behaviour, including prize pitches and credit card interest rate schemes.

Not sure why they're calling Canadians about U.S. elections. Seems like a waste of time for all parties concerned.

Got the call but I let it go to voice mail. They didn't leave a message so I'm not sure what they were doing a survey (UGH), calling about lowering my interest on my credit card debt, or just calling to pass the time. I'm thinking survey but maybe I will find out for sure when the call back.
