Hey private bellow me! What if I never had an account with Lowe's and they keep calling me? Should I be annoyed with them? Should I want them to quit calling me, or what? I would like to know how they got my number, I'll go to their house and cut their finger and toes off, break their jaw, knock out their teeth and cut their fucking nose off. Lets see them call me then!
PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR...ANSWER YOUR PHONE..ACT LIKE A MATURE ADULT..STOP SCREAMING AND CUSSING AT A TOTAL STRANGER JUST TRYING TO DO THEIR JOB AND PROVIDE FOR THEIR FAMILIES..AND PAY YOUR FREAKING BILLS! IF YOU CANT AFFORD TO PAY YOUR BILL..CALM DOWN AND ASK FOR HELP. ITS REALLY THAT EASY. AND YOU WONDER WHY BILL COLLECTORS ARE RUDE?!?!?!
actually, anonymous, you're dead wrong. You can't call out side of regular business hours. that ends at 8 p.m. in the time zone you're phoning. You also can't phone more than 3 times in a day or it's considered harassment which carries a penalty of $1000 per occurance. You also can't continue to call after someone tells you to only correspond in writing and you can't continue to call after someone files for bankruptcy. GEMB does that on Lowe's account, but not on Gap accounts or JC Penney accounts. That tells me it's the branding on the card pushing the illegal collection practices.
Portfolio Recovery and Anchor Receivables:
Call your local phone company to see if they have a service called "Call Intercept".. there is a monthly charge to have this service. With "Call Intercept", you can block any number in the United States. I have "Call Intercept" on my home phone thru Verizon and I am able to block 25 numbers. The person calling your number will get a recording saying "THE PERSON YOU ARE CALLING DOES NOT ACCEPT CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER, GOOD BYE." It's GREAT blocking Portfolio Recovery Associates from calling all day from different numbers. I am hoping that Verizon will extend call count from 25 to 50 numbers.
GEMB as usual calling about an account that was closed (paid off in full) about two years ago.
REMINDER -- Call centers in India sometimes use prisoners, as they do in some US states. If you want to give your bank account and routing numbers to someone who may be a convict, be my guest. Not me.
I have a solution that has worked well. Block the number on your home phone and add it to your reject list on your cell phone. At this point eventhough they are persistent, my solution is going to be to change all phone numbers as accounts have been closed. Also, to anonymous, you should be ashamed of yourself and so should GE Money Bank and Lowe's puts up a good front trying to help others during the holidays. I hope GE does well during these economic times as they have one fewer customer to deal with now.
I have NO ACCOUNTS with them, why are they calling me!!!!
If the calls keep coming, I will find a way to track these people down and put them in jail. It's a free country - my freedom included.
They call til 10 at night. One day alone they called 31 times.
I suggest you call Mark W Begor 203-762-3902
he's the CEO of that crappy GE Money Bank -from now on, for every call they make to me, he is getting one of his own. let's do what they do - just keep hanging up every time his home machine picks up. we should let him know how invasive and violating of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act this is. and it's legal for us to return calls - he needs to be responsible for his rude employees and illegal tactics.
Ps we can call 8 am to 10 pm seven days a week and the only holidays we dont call are new years day, christmas, easter and thanksgiving :) So better start waiting for that 8 am saturday morning call!
I work there. Its not that big of a deal. If you answer your phone and say yes this is so and so and let them say they're calling about lowes/ walmart/ etc and tell you how much is due they can't call back for three days. Its collection laws. we can call up to 10 times a day until you answer and we can call every day, every number you provided us with. Its not a scam. Its honest. You can ask them anything about your account. When you opened it, how much is on it.. they'll know. they have it all in front of them. if it tells you to wait, just do so, someone will be on the phone in less than 30 seconds or it will disconnect you and they'll call back. Or just pay your credit card bills on time. Or dont. Then I'd be out of a job.
Lowe's home improvement store wanting to know why i was late paying my bill and if i could make a payment over the phone to avoid any interest charges and said no and hung up. Drove to Lowe's and paid the bill and told the girl who took my money that they called on a saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. to discuss this and i was not happy having this happen to me on my day off !!!
the same # calls me over and over. When I called it back it asked for my ss# number. I am NOT giving that out over the phone. They call several times and day and into the night. They never leave a message.
Calls all day everyday, I called it and it asks for your ss# over and over........no real person.
I wouls be VERY weary!!!
HERE'S A TIP: For annoying frequent calls (ie debt collectors) to your cell phone you could save the numbers that call and assign them a unique ringer ID to ring as 'Silent'. So you'll get the call but it won't ring your phone and bother you. Then instead of getting annoyed or frustrated you can just laugh. Sure it seems they call from a million numbers but after a week or two you'll have them all saved and silenced. (ps. I ran into an old Nokia phone with no Silent setting so what you might do is just create your own ringtone with just of couple "pauses".)

Just got a call from this number. Whenever a caller says it " is a personal business matter " - it is a collection agency. I kept asking the caller if he knew how to e-mail, finally got a yes out of him, then I asked the guy if he could e-mail the message...silence.
This was a call from GE Money Services (Lowe's), but the caller ID say FEDEX SERVICES...I didn't trust this and told them I'd drop off my payment in the store.
They do call over and over again and it doesn't leave a message. I think they might be a collection agency since a friend (not a friend anymore) gave my number as a reference and I been getting calls for him for the past two weeks from his bills and since I stopped answering I think they send these guys to make sure I am not lying.
Someone from this number is calling my house. I do not know who they are or what they want. They have called my house for 3 days now and will not speak. I think this is someone trying to get money for nothing. I have reported it. 330-433-5996
I answered the phone and they asked for me; but did not tell who I was, so I asked them who they were they told me that they could legally tell me who they were until they spoke to who they were asking for, so I told them I was not going to tell them who I was. We got into an shouting match, then I hung up
NO MESSAGE. MULTIPLE CALLS
These guys call all hours of the night and day. When you answer, Your on hold for a service rep. SOBs never stop!

This is GE Money. They are relentless bastards who call about 8-10 times a day.
