The reason many of you get repeated calls even after telling them not to call, is that different people within the organization all have 'Call Lists' of rows and rows of phone numbers of people who've ever expressed ANY interest or bought a book in the past. When a person asks to be taken off the lists, THAT PERSON you spoke to DOES take you off (most times), yet you are STILL ON ALL THE OTHER DUPLICATE LISTS. For such a 'self-improvement' school of thought, they sure have TERRIBLE administrative skills, huh? Not only that, but some within the organization may be so desperate to get people in, that they start calling numbers from the phone book. Simply IGNORE the calls and report them to the FCC and BBB, etc. :)

The first time I received a call from this number a couple of weeks ago -- on my cell phone, no less -- the person on the other end left a message identifying themselves as calling from the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre in Hollywood and asked for someone I don't know (I'm the only person who uses my cell phone) -- so I just chalked it up as a wrong number and deleted the message; however, I've received several calls from the same number since, and whoever's calling hasn't left anymore messages. I just wish they'd stop calling.
