These idiots call day after day after day after ... with some kind of automated calling system. Like that's going to get a donation?
I received a call from these people this evening, there ID was Direct Factor. Checked this out
and it was National Trust For Historic Preservation. I have a letter in front of me from the president.
Stephanie K. Meeks, who had sent me her first Presidents report for 2010, and a request for a donation.
And receiving these erratating phone calls, and they're using these tactics, does not endear me to their
They keep calling over and over, never leaving messages; no one speaks (at least if we don't). They're calling a private, unlisted number, and I have no idea where they got it (and it pisses me off that they did).
I *was* a member of this organization. I didn't know that giving my phone number to them would doom me to these annoying phone calls. So, I recommend joining--but give a fake phone number!

Have told them on 2 previous calls that I answered, not to call again but I got one again today. On previous calls, they only vaguely identified themselves until I refused to tell them anything until I heard exactly who they were. They are the National Trust For Historic Preservation and my wife had donated to them once more than 10 years ago. I told them not to call back but they don't seem to care.
I've donated to the organization for several years. I've not received a call until tonight. I live in an 'old and historic' designated neighborhood and consider an organization that is working for 'my' neighborhood worthy of support. I don't like the idea that I'll have an invasion of my evening with solicitation calls.
