This guy said his name is Alex Young. He had an Indian or Middle Eastern accent. He said I qualified for a government grant. I needed to pay $3.87 for a registration fee to get a username and password to log into the "government" site and fill out some information. Then a few days later the grant specialist would call to tell me how much I qualified for. He said it would be $5000 to $50,000. He had my first and last name, my email address and phone number. I told him, quite honestly, that I didn't have that much. What really sucks is I could really use the money, but I really feel this is a scam so won't pay.

This guy called my mom and was asking for $3.87 in order to get a website for a government grant. He claimed his name was "Mike Hermandz" and knew my mothers name. I'm glad she told him that she had no money or cards (which is true) and checked with me. It sounds really good if it is true, but at the same time sounds too good to be true.

This guy called and tried really hard to get me to give him my credit card information. He told me that if I paid 4.95 I could get a grant for 5,000-500,000. He would not give me any information on the grant until I paid. The number is from California but he gave me an address from Utah.
