I just recieved another call from "Heather@Account Services, supposidly in Atlanta Ga. I asked to speak to her supervisor, because a "real person" was supposed to call me back and didn't. (I gave them the Phoney name of Joe Lipshitz, the correct phone number and told them I had over $2,600 in credit card debt. She gave me her supervisor "Nacira". I gave her my right name, and the phone number on the back of the credit card, and sure enough she asked me for the credit card number. I was tempted to give her one that I had cancelled, but told her I didn't give it to anyone that call me on the phone. She informed me that there is a federal law that obsolves me of any debt from credit card debt if it is fraudulent. Then I told her the real reason I was talking to her, and she assured me that the number would be placed on their DNC list. Yeah, right! If you believe that, I will sell you the Brooklyn Bridge at a discount. I don't know what the DNC Registery, FCC and Attorney Generals are doing with the information we are giving them. It doesn't seem to be much. Dick
I just found this website-Phone call was a couple weeks ago, so don't remember the details
Received numerous calls from this number. Answering machine picked up call and no message is left. Considered this a scam. Put on my ignore list.
26 June the phone number and Melbourne FL showed up on my caller id box. No message was left.
These guys are obviously hoping to get credit card numbers through fradulent means, so as to commit some sort of identity theft. Hang up on them and report them to the attorney general.
I am sorry, the url should have been: http://www.junkbusters.com/telemarketing.html
I went to http://www.junkbusters.com/telemarketing and downloaded the tones in paragraph 6 on my computer, then put in on my phone answering machine. NOTE; Erase everything on your greetings so the tone comes on 1st. The wait at least 5 sec. before starting your message. If their computer hears a voice, it will know it is a working number. I put it on the phone 3 days ago, and after I received a call from the doctor's office, I got a second one that I think was from our friend(?) Jonathan, because I heard only "Oh, Shit!!", and there was no message. And knock on wood or my head, we haven't got any more calls from him or his buddies. The Tone tells their computer that this is not a working number. Good Luck, I couldn't get the link to underscore. Dick
these numbers also called
they also are with citi-card credit. i am registered with the do not call registry.....arrest them.
I called my Bank of America account and gave them this site, and told them the individuals had fraudently identified themselves as Bank of America. They said that unless there was actual theft on the account they couldn't do anything (How about protecting you good name?) To answer ZACH, they will probably try to get out of it by saying you shouldn't have filed a false Police Report.
To the lady that was quiting them: I feel sorry for you having to put up with irate people that have had more than enough. But put yourself in their place - not being able to use the phone THAT YOU ARE PAYING MONTHLY FOR.
If I take the phone out for the lady I am caring for, and can't call 911, and she dies - they won't give a rat's ass, because they don't have the morals of an alley cat. They aren't man enough to even hide behind their mother's skirt. These wusses have to hide behind someone elses spoofed phone number. I hope there is a special place in Hell for them where they will have their fingers chopped off so they can't hold or dial a phone, and someone seals their lips with a permant "Crazy Glue"!
I did get a reply from the FL Attorney General. So now that we have someone's attention, I thought a little attention-getting would be in order. I sent a letter to MSNCNBC News, and requested Chris Hansen do a followup on it. It is amazing how a little bad publicity can get some people off their duffs, and do the job they ae paid to do.
None just number 321 409 0629 showed "Didn't pick up"

Thanks Paula for the info. I did everything on the list, and when I wrote the Melbourne PD, I told them that I wouldn't shed any tears if I read that the individuals fell down the stairs and back up them when they were being booked. However if their PD is anything like mine, I don't expect that to happen. I have an individual that makes harrassing calls sometimes up to 9 times in one day. I followed the protocol, calling the Pd to make a complaint so I could have the Verizon UCC trace the call twice @ $1.50. PD said Verizon never faxed them the info. Verizon said it did. Then PD said they did, but Verizon couldn't give them the number because it was from a Different carrier. When Iwent to PD, he said there was nothing they could do without the phone number. I told him I had the # by dialing *69.
No one on the line. Same number has called several times in several days. Listing just says out of area.
I am a 24/7 caregiver of an 86 y/o Alzheimer's patient who does not have a credit card, and is on the DNC registry. Easily 20-30 calls in the past 60-90 days. I have made 6 reports to DNC, tried to get off their list by pressing 2 (they have since changed their menu) to be removed from their list. That did no good, so I pressed 1 to talk to an operator. When I asked for the number for "Fenwick Consumer Services" they would hang up. I had one moron (actually "more off" that said I could press *69 if I wanted the number before he hung up. Today I asked for a supervisor, and was left on hold, listening to music, before they disconnected (so they could call some other poor sucker), but I didn't get a dial tone. I called the number that I had spent $.85 to get by using *69, and it was disconnected, so they must know we are getting close. If I lived in Melbourne, FL, I would probably be in jail for ripping someone's head off and then sticking it where the sun doesn't shine.
I was gone, but this is the (pre-recorded) message they left:
"Hello, this is Johnathan with Consumer Services calling in reference to your current credit card account. There is no problem with your account at this time, but it is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rates. Your eligibility expires shortly, so please consider this your final notice. Please press 1 now to speak to a representative, or press 2 to be removed. Thank you."
Thanks, Paula (2007-06-29), for all the links!
I have filed complaints at each of those places.
I am on the National Do Not Call Registry. I would like calls such as this stopped. I am disabled, and sleep at odd times during the day, and DO NOT need to be awakened abruptly by unwanted calls from SCAMMERS such as this!
I hope they can prosecute these criminals!

none --caller ID says Melbourne FLA --
These people call 2-3 times a month. I have caller ID so I don't answer the phone. Someone PLEASE make it go away!!! I am listed on the do not call registry, but I keep getting these annoying phone calls.
this is a credit card scam beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Melbourn, FL...I think they are using a fake Caller.
Oddley enough, these calls started for us after providing TRACFONE with our home number. We are on the Do Not Call Registry and rarely use our land line. Anybody else here have a TRACFONE that they provided their landline number for the account?
They have called 4 days in a row around 3PM MST. No message.
this number keeps calling me and when I answer they hang up and when
I called the number back it was dissconected.

Received second call today. Caller ID showed 321-409-0629. Didn't answer call. Call number back and got recording stating number has been disconnected.

recording about lowering credit card rates. Press 1 to speak to representatitve; press 2 to remove.
They called me too, but I didn't answer. I don't answer anything anymore, so they are out of luck. They will just continue getting my answering machine, HAHAHA!
Called twice so far. Everytime I answer, there is nothing or no one there. I just hang up.
I get calls from them on occasion. The last two times have been about extended auto warranty, which is funny, because my car is a used, not program, car. When I asked to speak to a supervisor "Richard" (I'll call him Dick) hung up. A dif time, I reminded them I was on the DNC list, and again Dick (head) hung up.
Recorded message offering lower credit card interest rates. When I made a polite request to be removed from their calling list, the person responded, "Fucking prick" and hung up. Obviously not a very good way to get my business...
Wanted to lower my interest rate but I have no accounts with this company. Never have.
This was a recorded message re: credit card information.
It said to press '1' to speak to a representative. It disconnects after you press '1'. When you call the # back, it is disconnected!
Just received a call from this number - June 29 at 10:15 AM EST. Caller ID said "Florida". No message left.
Picked up the call to a recorded message about lowering interest rates. Pressed 1 for more info - questioned the guy as to what company this was and whether it was a marketing program or something on one of my existing accts. He hung up. I called right back - number disconnected.
2 days 4 calls. Left no messages.
ID showed no name, just #
did not answer
did not leave message
calling about current credit cards. It was not from my creditors and I am on the no national no call list
I got the recorded credit card message and hung up at the lower interest rate offer. Is it possible they are just trying to keep you on the line for a certain length of time to sort of trace your phone account info? Although sadly plenty of gullable saps probably give them plenty of info.
They called today and didnt leave a message.
called twice in 15 mins...first a hangup...then i checked "whocalledus" (originating number 321-409-0629) so i knew what to expect. strung 'em along, made them sound like i was interested, then told him i was (and am) a teevee news reporter.
just showed number....called back and it was a dis-connect
# has called several times, leaves message about repairing credit over $5000.00. Picked up phone & message continued, said " all specialist are busy, leave name & # & will call back"...I left very abusive message, no name or #.
identified themselves as "Cardholder Services". Refused to explain why they violated Do Not Call list, hung up when I asked for a company name and number.
Chase Saunders Jun 28th, 2007
Left a message [from Ms. Chilis ?] saying they had papers for me with my ssn# & dob - & not to disregard the call, to have my attorney call them back. But she had the wrong 1st name.
Got the call today. Said something about the car I'm driving now is about to do something. What.Ever. Hung up.
Stated warranty coverage on my car was about the expire and associates were standing by to... and I hung up.
CALLER id "Melbourne,Fl"
Last call 6/27/2007 no message on machine, no response to answer! I have no idea why I'm called.
Always hang up. Call several times a week. Call back is disconnected.
Trying to sell me an extended warranty on a car that I just purchased.
06/28/07 We keep getting calls from all these unknown numbers. This one included. Caller ID only says Florida. It is driving us nuts! They never leave a message on the voice mail. I never pick these calls up. Does anyone know how to get off these lists or how to make these unknown calls stop?
Recording about credit card scam if you answer loud. If you answer low, will hand up and call back in 20-30 min.
Call number back and get recording of disconnected number, but this recording is not from the telephone company. sounds like answering machine recording.

Have had 2 prerecorded calls in the last week re:the selling of extended warranties on a car. They gave me options today--press 1 or 2 to speak with a warranty counselor, or 9 to remove number from the list. I choose 9 & stayed on the line till I was told that my number had been removed.
I was awakened by these jerks yet another time, and like other victims, got the same "disconnected" message.
I went online to: http://www.melbourneflorida.org/info/goode.htm, the Melbourne, FL City Hall website and spoke to the City Clerk. She suggested I call the Melbourne police -- I suggest that she make that call, or I would be forced to inform the FL Attorney General that the City of Melbourne was aiding and abetting criminals in the commission of "interstate fraud," etc. She abruptly changed her tune and said she would inform the police. **I suggest that others who are receiving this call do the same. If we are to take back our country and END THIS CHAOS AND MADNESS, we must DEMAND that something be done. I have a worldwide radio program and will be exposing this number and similar scams, along with the names of the communities, corporations, and government agencies that allow these scams to be perpetrated without consequences -- ALL IN THE NAME OF THE ALMIGHTY $$$$$$. It's about time WAKE UP and START FIGHTING BACK!!!
Recording: "Jonathan from Credit Card Services," etc.
Seems to be same phishing scam as calls from "Arther Bailey" in Ft. Lauderdale

elsewhere on this site.
These MFs call me at least twice a week about lowering credit card interest. I act interested and keep them on the line for about 15 minutes asking questions before telling them I'm reporting them to the Do Not Call registry. I love how mad they get.
Dave in TX Jun 28th, 2007
Recorded message from Credit Card Services wants to offer lowered interest rate on "my card" Type of card not identified. Offer would expire soon Pressed 2 to be removed.
When I tried calling back, it said not a working number.
I got a call from this number today. It was about credit card interest rates. I opted to speak with a rep so I could ask for my number to be taken off their call list because I don't use credit cards. When I told the rep this he then proceeded to sexually harrass me. Was very explicit. Scared the devil out of me. So you ladies out there just HANG UP! It was very upsetting.
several calls from this number, message: none left just a hang up when machine comes on.
since it said Melbourne, Florida, didn't pick up
Left no message.
Steamroller Sam Jun 27th, 2007
The recording said nothing was wrong with my credit card but it was urgent to call them back. Gave options to press number keys to connect.
They did not specify which company, and when i tried to call the number on caller i.d. the number was disconnected.
Good idea Zack. You try it and let us know how it turned out!
just got it....filed it with National DNC
Said our car's insurance was about to expire. I looked out the window and the car seemed fine to me. I hung up and went back to watching Judge Alex.
unknown number - I don't answer those-no message
Pre-recorded message to lower my mortgage interest rate - last chance! Press "1" to speak with rep or "2" to stop future calls, etc. Called back and told number was disconnected.
From the volume of complaints here, it's clear that there is no law enforcement agency or regulatory body that gives a damn about this kind of activity. We need to find a geek who can hack the scammer's system and plunge it into permanent electronic chaos.
Same comments as celkins.
Recorded message stating that automobile extended warranty was expiring.
I have received several calls from this "Melbourne, FL" number. I'm sick of getting calls like this.
When I called back since I didn't answer the phone, the number was disconnected or no longer in service
called this number back it says it has been disconnected.very annoying
I didn't answer the call. It came from a 321-409-0629 from Melbourn, FL. When I called back, the number was "Disconnected or No Longer In Service"
i think someone should give them their credit card info and when it is used, report it stolen, after all, you didn't sign or authorize any purchases..... then maybe your financial institution will go after them!
Hung up when I asked for a phone number. Trying to get phone records for my account now. Reported to the Do Not Call list, as well. Gonna try the BBB, too.
Did not get to it before they hung up and they left no message
Third call in a week from this place. Took a wild chance and pressed 3 during the message. I heard, "Your phone number has been deleted." We'll see if it actually works.
showed up on caller id. we were not home.
Call was from Melbourne, Fl.
I did not pick up the phone and blocked them from calling back.
Tried to return the call and the number was disconnected? How can that be? Anyway, don't answer it.

Have had this number ring at least two times now. Said that the car I was driving was about to expire its warranty and I had to renew it. I have two cars so I dont know which car they were calling about. One still has a loan, the other I was given as a gift so how could they know this?
Called about extended warrenty offer for auto. Said I could be removed from list by pressing#2 I doubt it. SCAM
Phone rang, but nobody responded
Left message on my voice mail only half was there - something about 5pm(time limit) to lower interest. I erased it!!
I did not answer. The number appeared on my Call Wave box on my computer. I do not answer such calls.
Jane Smith Jun 26th, 2007
they called with automated then they would connect you to live auto warrenty extension person. I am on do not call list when the live person picked up first thing they wanted was the Vin number of my car I then asked what the name of there company was and they hung up.
Received an recorded call about lowering my interest rates and was given two options. I hung up the phone after I heard the options without choosing either of them.
The Do Not Call List is NOW a cold call list for the hacks. Thank the government for selling them the list, names and all. Nothing will happen to them. They will go scot free.
Fock the FTC Jun 26th, 2007
Caller ID said Melbourne Florida. I did not answer it but I called the # back and it was disconnected.
when i asked for the company name and phone number, said he had manager's permission to cuss out and 'do not call' people ... which he proceeded to do. threatened with an obscene suggestion. low life.
threatened Jun 26th, 2007
Left msg. said nothing is wrong with credit card, but wanted to talk to me.
Comes up Melbourne FL.It is probably the one I closed!
received call on 6/22 @ 4:44 pm. Recording stating important info about CC rate and to push 1, which I did. The woman asked me for my CC number. I said, "why? You called me. Don't you have my CC info?" I said, "Why are you calling me?" and she said, "If you give me your CC number, I'll be able to tell you what's going on." I then asked, "What CC? MC, Visa, Discover, etc.?" She said, "I don't know. If you give me the CC number, I'll check on it for you." I said, "You're calling me to reduce my interest rate and you don't know what CC you're offering this on?" And then I said good-bye!
