Call from, "Thomas" (thick accented Indian person) claiming to be a Microsoft technician just conned my aging in-laws. WTH!!!
Thankfully she had the forethought to call me before she paid anything and the "Technician was none to happy about her wanting to talk to me before she did anything!
However, he was granted access to their computer did a "Diagnostic scan." NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked her to make sure the computer was powered off, and please bring it to me ASAP so I can start securing accounts and the computer for them.
After I got done telling "Thomas" how much of an egregious shitbag he is, I told him to promptly to take an F'ing leap off a tall building for being a disgusting, deplorable lousy human being!

I got a call from 767-275-9067
, He said he was with windows service center and someone was trying to take over my computer. I asked for a number to call him back because I just didn't trust him. He gave me the number above which is 321-332-0208. I didn't call him back, but about 10 minutes later he called me back and I told him I had a friend who will look at my computer tomorrow and there was dead silence on the phone then he said "ok" in such plain English, nothing like his accent before. His name was Michael Dawson. Watch out, I really think this is a scam.
I just received a call from a number that reads only 5 digits on my caller ID, and was transferred to Ben William. He identifies himself as a windows service center employee and begins instructing me to press keys on my computer key pad in order to allow them to assist me in determining who has taken over my computer without my knowledge. I say, hey Ben how do I confirm you are who you say you are? he then gives me the above referenced number and tells me to go ahead and call the number to verify. I say, come on Ben I wasn't born yesterday - you guys called me - remember. I'll tell you what, my computer is registered with Microsoft and you should be able to send me an e-mail if you are working under their authority. He says he cannot. I say how about a fax - nope. I tell Ben, sorry this conversation is over.
Be careful here - this doesn't smell legitimate.

he called and said i have mailware and errors and he told me the prices of the web protection and i think he is a scam and a fraud.
They called me out of the blue so when I challenged hm to connect me to an American operator he transferred me to another person with a thick indian accent. She told me to keep calm because stress will only hurt me. They said they were calling me because my windows program was sending them crash reports and they could see that I had malware and to just follow his commands to type in my computer. I said no, I don't even know who you are. Weird!
i got service in my computer and i m pretty happy with them.
This is a bogus PC repair scam. The other comment below from Mark, claiming to be satisfied with the repair of his computer problem, is probably part of the scam.
I get a call from windows to rectify my computer problem. and wow w
hat a job they guys did. preety satisfied with the services.
A heavily accented man calling himself "Mack" said he was calling from "National Financial" allegedly in Boca Raton, FL, but he refused to providean address. He sounded like he had an East Indian accent.
