didn't answer, they call about every 6 months, over and over
West Virginia May 15th, 2014
This is easily the eightieth call from this FAKE charirty. CNN television's Anderson Cooper 360 has performed a fabulous public service _exposing_ a family of scammers-with family members in Tennessee, Texas+Oklahoma-who pray on innocent well-doers. CANCER patients receive ZERO $ from these charities. Instead their CEO's rake in _MILLIONS_ while pretending to assist those with cancer. It's especially damning to take advantage of the charitable gifts of those _WANTING_ to assist those in need.
Asked for donation, said they would mail a pledge card, then transferred to someone else who asked for credit or debit card number
Asked for "Frank." I asked who was calling, and the woman did not answer. Instead she said, "Can I speak with your mom or dad please?" I said, "I have your number on our caller ID, could you please place us on your do-not-call list?" The woman said, OK.
Called and wanted me to give money and they would send a gift. I then asked which cancer group they supported and all she would say don't you want to make a kid smile an then hung up.
I called the number back and got a voice message the was about the children's cancer recovery foundation and they they send games to kids to hospitalized children.and would need to leave my name my name, phone number and gift id and allow in 10 day's fro someone to call you back. When I hit zero it said you have reached Associated Community Services and all our operators are busy good by.... OS please do not take the call or give them any money or a credit card to give money.....
