Didn't answer since I've been getting too many spam calls from all different numbers. No message was left. Quite annoying trying to guess what is important or not when thinking about answering. Other numbers include: 412-401-2952, 302-384-0103, 412-901-8510, 270-200-1305, 503-682-9329, 806-785-6596, 412-401-5420, 516-889-1486, 866-469-3328. I save them in my phone book under SPAM so if they call again, i'll know!

Just received a call from this number, 978-570-2338, telling me I just won a new satellite system and asked if I wanted to receive it now. I simply told the guy I'm going to destroy his life if he calls back.

Caller ID: 978-570-2338

There is alot of information on the Internet about this type of scam, some of it has been mentioned here, but I can tell you that it doesn't matter if your phone is a cell phone, unlisted, or whatever. These people get your number by using a computer program that generates random phone numbers and then calls them with their recorded message. Its hard to imagine that people would be stupid enough to fall for this type of garbage, but a small percentage of people do and that's why they keep calling. Forget about telling these thugs to put you on their "do not call list", they don't respect that kind of stuff. Do an Internet search for something like "auto warranty fraud" and you will learn all about it.

prerecorded warranty expiration sales pitch to my cell phone. illegal! I reported it to the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html.
The 702-520-xxxx exchange belongs to Digitcom Services, 12923 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066, 800-464-5446.
I received a similar call from 302-384-0103 last week which I also reported to the FCC.

file a complaint with the bbb or your attorney general.( in missouri if you ask for them to stop calling and they continue you can actually get restitution from the attorney generals office.... don't know if this is in all states)
there are a ton of companies out there doing this shade business.... dealer services in wentzville mo and national dealer warranty in st. peters mo look them up everyone should start calling them 10 times a day see how they like it. there are some companies out there trying to do things the right way and these people are ruining the industry not only the people on this site but many others wish they would be closed down by the state or federal gov't

I got this call on my CELL PHONE . It's illegal right off the bat. I pressed 3 to talk to a person. The first thing she ask for is the make and model of my car. I tried to sound nice and ask her the name of the company. She said she "works as an agent for a car warranty company." I keep pressing for an actual name, she kept pressing for the make and model of my car. Finally she hung up on me. I lodged a complaint with FCC here: https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/1088gform.do .

This is the second time I've received a call like this. I got one with the caller id 302-384-0103 . Next time I'm just going to play along and give them phony information and see how far I can go. There has to be some business entity behind this. Hopefully if I can find a mailing address or something we can give FCC more information to prosecute these scumbags.

I started getting them on my Verizon yesterday, and another call today from the 302-384-0103. I didn't answer, but did call it back and they said I was removed from their list. Thought it was very odd, but after reading all of your emails, guess it's not that odd! Never have posted my number on Craigs List.Wonder if anyone actually falls for this kind of car warranty scam????

I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone but I am not answering. They do not leave any msg and now that I know what it is about I won't bother to answer and won't waste my time to worry about those jerks anymore. They'll stop calling but I hope somebody can find a way to bust them down to their "privates". BTW in addition to the No Name above this 302 # shows but that's about it.

They have called me a few times but never left a message, so I don't know what they are supposed to be calling about. It would be pretty funny if it was about a car warranty (like others have said) because I don't even own a car!

Make sure you are on the Do Not Call Registry. Look up the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA). Keep records. Then sue them.

YUMA,AZ - I received a phone call that came in on my AT&T company blackberry. I listened to the recorded message for about 15seconds and immediately hung-up. That same phone number 302-384-0103 called my mom personal Verizon phone about 10mins later. Everyone needs to report this number to the Federal Communication Commission - 1-888-225-5322 - this is a SCAM and it's illegal..

I got a call from 302-384-0103 on my work cell phone this evening, caller ID just displayed the number. The amazing things is that they called my personal cell phone yesterday evening, then my wife's cell phone thirty minutes later. We haven't answered any of the calls, hopefully they get discouraged and go away.

I have been protected with this number for 7 years! Now this number and one other. Someone has released cellphone data!
Damn it!
Just stop the whole credit banking industry!!! They just keep enticing people who can't pay! Forget the credit reports! you can't even change them, it takes forever to do so, even if you have paid every cent you ever owed!
This is crazy, first spam email now spam cell phone calls!!!!
This has got to stop!

I get calls from these people at least 3-4 times per day now and it just keeps getting worse. Usually the 302-something and 978-something numbers. I only answered the first time and haven't answered since. If it makes Verizon customers feel any better, I'm a AT&T/Cingular customer. However, I've noticed that I started receiving these calls after I used Craigslist to post an apartment listing, and I saw someone else write the same thing in the above comments (although their post sounded more car-related). Maybe there's a correlation?

Anyhoo it's annoying as **** and I think the next time I get a call I'm just going to **** with their heads and give them fake info and be really annoying about it. Maybe talk with an accent? Could be fun.

FUCKERS!!!! These scammers need to die and burn in HELL. I hope they get hit by a bus in the middle of the road but then don't die, and are left paralyzed.

They called twice in school, assholes, and then I called back. There was a message saying "You have been removed from our calling list, goodbye." Then later tonight they called again, I picked up. I got the "Warranty Expired! Press one to renew it now!" Just picking up was probably a big mistake because then they know that they have called a functional number. My friend called me earlier this week and told me that there was a scam where some e-mail message tries to get you to call a number in the Cayman Islands and then if you do you get charged $2,400 per minute!!! The people behind this stupid scam are probably related to the people in the Caymans... I would bet.

BTW... my phone said the number was from Delaware.

The more people complain to the FCC, the faster they will go after these bums!

I just got the 302 version of this... I paused, because I am a native Delawarian, but I didn't recognize the number nor was it in my phone directory. Ignore it I did... oh, and like Kathy, my car is older (1992) and is well out of warrantee!!!

They call my cellphone everyday and leave an automated message about car warranties. I believe they picked up my number from craiglist because it started when I put my phone number on an ad I posted in the "cars and trucks" section. I now have several companies call me.

These people called me and said "it was a courtesy call" and "my car warranty was about to expire". If they were courteous, they wouldn't have called me in the first place. My car is a 1998 and the warranty is long expired. They also called a friend with the same message a week ago. We both have Verizon, but different insurance companies. I hope Verizon didn't sell my cell phone number!!!!

Honestly if i could find out what this company's name is at least I would report them. Last I knew it was illegal for them to call cell phones without your permission. This is pathetic. (302) 384-0103 called my damn tracfone so i end up wasting my minutes on damn retards calling me. If anyone has any information about these people please let the reset of us know so we can take care of this once and for all.

ALL THE SAME MESSAGE.. my auto warranty is going to expire! Considering the car I drive is a 1971, I think the warranty is long gone!!!! These people need to be stopped! I do NOT get these calls on my home phone, ONLY on my cell phone!
