''STOP STOP STOP'' assuming your DNC registration is a magic shield for every unwanted caller. STOP to read the rules *you agreed to* when you registered your numbers. See items 28 through 32.

Q&A: The National Do Not Call Registry
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm

STOP STOP STOP and think about the actual purpose of this website, for people to share what they know about mystery callers. Those callers do not control any part of this site and are not likely reading it. They cannot ''STOP STOP STOP STOP'' any calls based on some anonymous comment.

You must revoke permission to call you *directly*. You could see if the address given here in late 2010 is still valid and sent a cease-communication notice via USPS Certified with return card. A charity or commercial fundraiser which worries about lawsuits will obey.

Doesn't seem to matter how many times you tell these nitwits that you have nothing for them, and that anythjing you do manage to donate goes to more local charities, or how many times you ask them politely to PLEASE remove your number from their calling list, they just keep calling and calling and calling.

why do they hide behind UNAVAILABLE caller id? i do not answer that or no/unknow name caller id. i hit my play out going messag3e which has "sit tines (beep beep beep) and the number you dialed is not in service"

The number came in as "out of area" with a local area code. Did not answer the call, as it came during dinner. We have contributed household goods and clothing to NCC over the years. In fact, we made a donation a month or so ago. However, I am getting a little tired of the relentless calling.

NCC is a aggressive and intrusive marketing company that poses as a child service company to steal your personal information. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM OR THEY WILL STEAL YOUR IDENTITY.

I answered this call once, and asked the person to take me off of their call list. She said, ok, but wanted my phone # to remove it from the list. I went ballistic because THEY CALLED ME so they ALREADY HAVE THE PHONE NUMBER. I let her have it, she cursed and swore at me, screaming obscenities and slammed the phone down. The thing is ... they are supposedly trying to get donations for their thrift store/charity .... and they don't even have a shop/store in my area!!!!!!!

Calls EVERY SINGLE DAY, though most often not more than once a day. I get very tired of these calls, because they will not take "No" for an answer. They know they can get around the DNC list by claiming to be a non-profit organization, but I suspect these calls are being made on the NPO's behalf by paid fundraisers/telemarketers. Drives me crazy.

We get calls from outfits like this one four or five times a week; usually, they claim some form of Veteran's Relief. This one is from NCC. We NEVER give money or items from over the phone solicitations.

Excessively calling at the dinner hour. I'm on the "Do Not Call List". I do not - will not - pick up any telephone solicitation calls. Can't they take the hint? Will someone please tell them to go away!

One of about a dozen organizations that contact me monthly, looking for clothing donations. What do they think I do, wear a shirt once then toss it out? Morons.

Here is a link to their website. http://www.nccinc.org/contact-us/10-departments/5-administration.html
I just sent them a message about the hang up phone call I just received and a link to this site so they can
see how their phone calls are hacking people off and they probably will not get any donations due to this fact.
Send them messages too!!

Didn't answer, but must be National Childrens Center. Have donated before, but don't have anything for them now.

The phone rang until the answering machine answered the call. When it was recording, I heard a few seconds of what sounded like a room full of people talking before the caller hung up.

These guys have called for years and I have requested they remove me from their list. They don't care. Face it. This is a for-profit operation and they are making a profit doing this. If everyone on this site scheduled a pickup appointment when they call they would get the message and stop.

They call every single evening! I tell them to stop and they always say they will remove me from their list. I am usually a polite and mild mannered senior citizen, but I am now a very angry one. Even when I don't answer, ignoring the call is an interruption in my life I don't need.

I called the phone company to complain about all the calls from this number. They offered to sell me a product to block the number. As a person registered on the "Do Not Call List," I am placing a complaint. Please do the same.

The people who do the work get a little money. The charities represented get some of the money. Orlo Ellison gets richer by every donation made. It is as phony as it gets. Report them.

They are not a legit group. There is stuff at the MD Public Service Commission's website about a dispute with a Telco. A legit group does not hide under different names (e.g, Apogee Retail, blank) and keep calling people over and over in the manner they do and not leave a message. I've seen the thing on my Caller ID unit (and I live in VA) at least 20 times over the last couple of months (I've not been home for any call). If they are technically not selling anything, the Do Not Call list does not apply but I am going to start reporting Apogee Retail and the number each time they call at this point and let the FCC contact them at some point. These are not the kind of people you donate too. Legitimate places like the Salvation Army or other organizations don't operate on the shady side.

I believe this is the charity named "National Childrens Center" in Washington, DC. They collect used clothing for the benifit of disadvantaged children and adults in the DC area. They are good and legitimate. They call to solicit clothing and anything else of value to be left outside your home for their trucks to pick up. They are OK! Apparently, their telephone solicitors may be a little screwed up. They call me about every six weeks. we donate. Today, I received the first ever blank call.

They have been calling me off and on for over a year and no longer use the phone line that says Value Village Project. They never leave a message, but when we connect they say they are collecting for the National Children's Center, have a truck in the area. etc. No matter, I've told them repeatedly that I donate households exclusively to the Salvation Army, please stop calling me and wasting everyone's time.

I wouldn't say they are obnoxious or harassing, or I would have called-blocked them long ago.

We gave to them for several years (and deducted it off of our taxes - no problems there). I only stopped donating to them when their pickups became unreliable. They are affiliated with the United Way. See http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_xrv0v

These people will not stop calling. Latest call was from a woman who identified herself as Shelly and said she was calling for the National Children's Center. I said we weren't interested and hung up. Strongly suspect they will continue to harrass us though.

These scammers have refused to stop calling for years.I don't know what they do with clothing donations but kitchen items are sold for cash at scrap metal yards.Who knows where the money goes?I am 99% sure it doesn't go to any kids, unless the loser that runs this is a child molester and scores them heroin with it.

They have called me repeatedly. I have asked them not to but they continue. They state that they are a donation/charity for Handicapped/retarded people (their words not mine). Again just asked for them to STOP calling me. Talked to the store manager. I cant find info for them on any webbie so I dont know that you should trust it.
