keep getting calls from this number, called with another phone 10secs later and it was disconnected. smells fishy to me
Got a call from this number301-483-8458, it's seem to be a new one from the older one which 310-948-532 (not even showing up complete on caller id). I saved the number to my phone as Do No Answer. There is nothing that can be done to avoid the calls unless you block them with your provider. I have ATT and they wanted to charge me $5.99 per month to access the feature to block unwanted numbers. I don't see why they would charge when it's something that I can simply go into my online account and activate the block number. I guess I'm getting screwed from both ends. One annoying caller and my cell company trying to make money.
Isn't it against the law to call a number submitted to the registry?
Long distance calls on my phone never get answered unless a name is attached.
I always return messages, no message left.
Probably a newly hijacked/spoofed # since if it is about my car warranty, I just purchased my brand new car last month.
This guy has called me now about six or seven times. He is beginning to irritate me.
Wow, Warranty on my vehicle is about to expire!
Okay, they changed the number that their caller ID is showing from last time. This time I was able to speak with a representative. The rep wanted my control number, I told him that he called me and should already have that information. He said he was not customer service and then was saying something else and disconnected. I called back from my work cell that he called me on and all circuits are busy recording. Called from my work landline, I reached the recording stating that the phone number has been disconnected recording. It only played 1 loop and did a soft disconnect.
10 minutes later I tried the number from my work's landline one more time and now I receive a recording of all circuits are busy now.
I will say this again. It is becoming more easy to spoof caller ID as it is spoofing an ip address. Social Engineering the rep is key to success on getting company info. From there you know what to do. This guy was smart.
Until next time
