Didn't answer, but caller ID says "Sutherland". Google brings up Sutherland Global Services. Don't understand all the business-speak, but I assume telemarketing. As others have said, possibly for Microsoft. Never seen this before, but I just bought a Vista OS computer online a couple of days ago so I HAD to fill in a telephone number. The retailer's website required it and what if THEY needed to contact me about a problem with my order? Otherwise, I'd have left blank or made one up. That sucks 'cuz I keep ALL my personal info private these days. DO NOT CALL REGISTRY doesn't matter when you give info "voluntarily". I'm sure Circuit City gave out my #.

Called and left weird message, no voice or words, just some strange sounds that sounded like a dog making funny noises, or a sick, perverted person.
I thought it was a prank call and it upset me.
Microsoft had better check on the people they hire.
I am tempted to call microsoft and report this!
The caller ID said Sutherland like some of the others.

This number has called before 9am and after 9pm. Never leaves a message. Wish they would leave a message or quit calling.

The call was very early--8:35am! I thought 9:00am was the earliest that unsolicited calls were supposed to be made. It was from Microsoft regarding MS Live services. Totally weird because the service is a free service that I don't know if I'll ever even develop fully, and I wasn't seeking contact from anyone. The caller even asked if she could send me resource info via email and if she could call me in 2 weeks to check on me (which I declined). Perhaps I should reconsider using it, if the "successful" use of their services is going to mean this much to them. Yikes! I really don't want them watching my progress!
