I picked up, but no one responded. The call cut off with tone that accompanies a dropped cell phone call. Reverse phone lookup services report this is a land line from Houston, TX and the subscriber is known, but I did not pay to learn the line owner. According to other comments, this is a junk caller.

Got another recorded call from "Rachel" offering me the opportunity to lower my credit card rate. I pressed "1" and after a human answered (I use that term loosely) I told him that I already asked them to take my name of the list and that I was recording them. At this point he hung up (again).

I called the number back and to my astonishment the number was not in service (shocking).

Reported to the Do Not Call site, not that it will help, again.

Received a call at dinner time stating that my credit card was still good (never said which one) and that I should press 1 to get a lower interest rate. I pressed 1 and was disconnected. Very annoying. Will also report as a complaint to the DNC site.

I received a call from this number. There was a pre-recorded message telling me "my credit card was in order and there were no problems with it", but that I should call this number today if I wanted to receive the lowest possible rates. The number given to call was the same as the number on the caller ID and it was not in working order or had been disconnected, thus, making the phone call totally irrelevant, since you could not speak with anyone. It makes me wonder if these jokers are able to "troll" for information regarding your phone merely by calling it. Phone calls with pre-recorded message are no longer legal and should be reported to the FTC immediately, even if the number called is not currently listed on the Do Not Call Registry.

I received a call from this bitch today 8/12/11. At first it was a recording saying to hold for the next cs. When this hateful ass bitch got on the line, she asked me why i was calling. I said you guys called me and i am on the dnc list...she said (very snotty), "do you want a lower interest rate or not?". I said, "i am on the dnc list and you are in violation," at which time the uneducated bimbo, hung up on me. Well, just another number being reported to the federal government. :)I have already got 2 stopped and taken care of, here goes another.
