called my house landline many times. and now 2 of 3 of my family cellphones
this number called me @ 810 pm pacific time...
What the h@#$!
colorado sprint got car at john elway dealership. I don't think this has to do w/ phone providers, maybe car dealerships? even though some ppl don't have warranties a lot of us do I never received any calls until I checked on my warranty a couple wks ago... I don't know but just food for thought...
I don't know how they got a hold of my cell phone number, because I don't give it out. Can we sue? They have called several times on my land line, too.
I received a call from this number today about 4pm. Someone mentioned on this thread to file an FCC complaint which is a good idea according to this article regarding expired warranty scams that are making the rounds.
Ihave had 10 of these calls from this number above in 5 months. Perhaps AT&T are paying someone to do this so that they can get money from us by using up our minutes????? AT&T owe us to look into the matter or else people like me will change to another provider! I am on pay as you go is any one else?
I too got a call today, at 6:50pm Pacific time. About a car warranty. I drive a Mitsubishi, saw one previous poster has one as well. Strange.

Received a call from this number on 2/22/08 @9:42pm. Did not answer as I didn't recognize the number. This is a cell phone/Verizon/Connecticut.
Received a call at 6:28PM Pacific on 2/22/08. I did not answer and no VM was left. I was surprise to find that virtually every call logged on this site occurred today.
This is a bogus company. They call about a warranty expired on a vehicle, and then ask for the make and model of the vehicle. What kind of phishing expedition is this? "Couldn't complete call" or something like it was the msg I got when I tried to call them back.
I'm in Colorado
Bought my toyota 4 months ago
It's a 1983 longbed
I recently did some repairs to my truck, as the alternator went out. Got the parts from Advanced Auto
And a co-worker of mine got this same call from 442-074-2224
He also did some alternator work on his car and got the parts from advanced auto
and also uses t-mobile
Received a call at 5:21 pm today. Couldn't hear anything, call disconnected. I use AT&T, live in Colorado, have had same closely guarded cell # 4 years with no problems. Upgraded to new cell phone yesterday, kept same #.
I don't even have a car, so why am I getting a final notice about the warranty expiring on my car?
I live in Maryland, have verizon, and recieved this call at 8:02 PM. I didn't answer, but I do recall a few weeks ago getting a recorded message on my cell that my car warranty was about to expire. Interesting to see all this response today.
Lol. I just got the call at 7:55 myself. I don't think its the Cell phone company... it must Be ur car dealership/insurance comp... I bought a car 2 days ago at Toyota & now I get this call...
can we find these people and kill them? When a lady came on and asked for my year make and model, I said yes take me off your list and she hung up.
I just got this call too. It's 7:37 p.m. in CT. The number they dialed in on is line I have through Vonage for business. So the number is out there. When I picked up, no one was there, so I guessed it was an auto-dialer and hung up. If they're using an auto dialer, it's possible for the computer to automatically dial a cell phone because it's just dialing numbers in sequence. When someone picks-up, it triggers a signal to an rep, who then gets on the line to make the offer. Sometimes there's a prompt asking the person answering the call to press a number based on a specific question. This is just a sorting method and delay tactic until a rep connects into the call.
So maybe no one gave away any numbers. It could be random within a specific region or target market. Only the scammiest of telemarketers use autodialing in today's market. Nope, I'm not in telemarketing. But the company I worked for in the late 80's used TM for marketing their products. The number that's showing on our caller IDs may not even be the real company or location.
p.s. My car is old enough that a warranty wouldn't matter.
Yet another in the latest rash of Car Warranty calls. I hate this BS. It should be illegal - and it probably is. If any of you actually want to do more than just complain about this I urge you to follow the link and report this to the FCC. I certainly did.
I called this number back and received the message that the number cannot be completed as dialed. The original call came to my cellphone telling me that my car warranty may have expired.
just got a call on cell 7:20 friday evening 2/22/08; we have Verizon. Didn't answer it and no vm was left.
robocall for warranty renewal
called my cell phone. I don't give the number out, and never call someone whom I do not know on it. Very irritating. I don't have a warranty on a car, my car is 14 years old. the warranty ran out on it a long time ago.
I guess they get the number through the dealer when you go for service i.e. dealer sells directly or indirectly the customer records.
Called my cell, I answered and received a recorded message. Said my car warranty has or is going to expire. I Hung up because I didn't want to waste my minutes. I don't give out my cell number to companies because it's pre-paid
received a call from this number. rep advised me that my car warranty was expired. traced the call back to kentucky.
Going with the whole CA pattern, out of the seven numbers I have carrying the "your warranty is about to expire" message, only two of them were not from CA.
I could probably put the spreadsheet up online if anyone wants to take a look at it...
wow, a lot of postings today on this phone number. i got a call from this number about 5 minutes ago on my cell. i never give out my cell except to friends and family, never on a website or on a public form. sounds like everyone in CA got a call, i live in FL and my provider is verizon. i didn't answer b/c i didn't recognize the number. they did not leave a message and i wasn't about to burn minutes to call a telemarketer back. puleeeezzzz.....
I called back and got "The number you dialed is not a working number, please check the number and try again"
i am in CA and got this on my Sprint Cell. they didn't leave a message. However i notice other people mention auto warranty expiration and i did have a warranty on a used honda that is prob about to expire!
This man gave me no information about the company or how I came to be on his call list, refused to give his full name, said he WAS the supervisor when I asked to speak to one and then promptly hung up on me. I have an 84 chevy caprice, warranty? I'm the 4th or 5th owner of this car, again, warranty? I live in California and just got his cell number. How do I preserve my privacy?
Got call on my cell phone. No message was left. When I tried to call back the number, it said the call could not be made. Not sure what it was. I usually don't get crank calls on my cell.

no message, call rank on cell phone 270 200 1305
Just leased a new Pontiac G6, but before that I was checking into a Jeep Cherokee w/ 88,000 miles on it. I bet they ran my credit against a couple of banks that sold my info.
Don't even own a car, I'm a teen for crying out loud.
I've taken this and other numbers people have reporting carry the same message and looking them all up on whitepages.com. See if there are any patterns. (Yeah, I have no life, really.)
I got a call from this number too... I live in CA but the call came through on a pre-paid cell phone. We have a land line through AT&T and we had cell phones through Cingular over a year ago. The only people that have the cell phone number is the Insurance company (Mercury)and the dealership we bought my girlfriend's car from (Mitsubishi).
Just got the call on both my house line and cell line at the exact same time. That was weird. Had to grab them fast as the wife was trying to put our daughter down for a nap. Caught only the end of what must have been a quick recording and only heard something about "pressing three" or some button. I didn't press anything. Actually the house call hung up on me very fast - not nearly giving me enough time to do what it apparently asked me to do. Same thing basically happened when I went across the room to look at the cell phone.
Here are some of my details:
Would not be surprised if my number was out there somewhere
* My Honda van warranty expired in the last 3,000 miles
Very annoying. Although, I must say, when I googled the number and found you folks, that was cool. : )
Also, my carrier is Verizon.
Recently posted my mobile number on the Pontiac G8 website for a giveaway.
Just got a call from these bastards on my cell phone.
Freja- I live in California and use AT&T as well... there might be a connection. I've had problems with spam texts ever since AT&T bought Cingular
They called saying the warranty on my car will/had expire(d).
Funny. I don't own a car...
I've received two calls this year on my land line number from automated recordings asking if I wanted the extend my warranty, both of which I hung up on and both numbers, when I tracked them, originated in N.Y. However, today, 22nd of Feb, 2008, I received a mobile phone call and as usual, I didn't answer as it was an unknown number to me. Quite glad I didn't after reading the posts here. However,in trying to figure out what the common denominator is between us all, as I can see most of us don't hand our mobile number out, willy nilly, I'll place some details below for a cleverer person than I, to take into account. I suggest others following me do the same to allow us to fathom the connection. It IS illegal to cold call/canvass to mobile/cell phones in the United States of America, so let's stop these unscrupulous marketeers by contacting the legal bodies at the F.F.C. with these details. It's a fine for them of $11,000 per violation. You can file on-line at https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/1088gform.do
My mobile service provider is AT&T
My only recent dealings with my car, a VW, was to get three recall issues repaired
I live in California
I recently had problems with the Welk Resorts company gaining my number through an Ikea/Welks competition on the Ikea website
My vehicle warranty expired over a year ago, so no extension is possible
If you have any of these factors in common with me state so in your comment and in any details you give to the F.F.C.
Good luck to everyone.
Needless to say, if your name is not programed into my phone I probably will not answer.
Warranty on auto purchase expired?????????
This number needs to stop calling me.
BS. When I called back, "Call cannot be completed as dialed."
Came through on my cell phone, those creeps are using my minutes to sell their product!!! This should be illegal!!!!
Pressed 1 with no answer. 3'rd call in two days.
"The warranty on my car will or has expired. Don't drive without a warranty. Please press 1 to be taken off the list or press 2 to speak to an operator."
They called me while driving, but didn't pick up. I
Reverse white pages says "Clarence Miller" in Leitchfield, KY.
Calling the number gets a recording, "cannot be completed as dialed...113T."
Spoke to a representative who hung up when I asked who was calling me.
Called while I was in the middle of an important meeting. Bastards
