Didn't answer tonight and I got the recorded message "Seems like every time I call, I miss you ..." message. It's UBC trying to get me to switch to their credit card processing because of the volume of business I do and my credit history or some BS like that.

I got the same "sorry about that" and I hung up. About 30 seconds later they called again this time I just picked up and hung up.

When we answered, a recorded voice said, "My mistake". Caller ID said "INBOUND CALL". The number on my caller ID is: 269-768-2301 which is in MI.

Same as everyone - recording sames my mistake - called back 20x and left an obscene message - maybe if a few dozen people do the same, they may get the hint.

This number called and said, "my mistake" from a computerized voice caller id said "inbound call

Received call at my business at 8:32pm (after closing) on Jan. 29,2009. Caller ID showed UNKNOWN NAME from 269-768-2301. Answer machine recorded this message "Hi, this is Rachael from the credit card processing center at UBC. If you accept credit cards from your customers as a form of payment, then you may be aware of the changes that are occuring in the processing industry. Right now I'm working with clients just like you, not only lowering they're rates on their merchant accounts to a record low, but offering them state of the art equipment absolutely free. Call me back today toll free at 866-858-4540. Again, my name is Rachael and I can be reached at 866-858-4540. Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you soon."

A GOOGLE search on UBC turned up nothing but complaints about the same company and message, but from different phone numbers and different call back numbers.

This number called us at 8:23 PM PST on 1/25/09. When we answered, a recorded voice said, "My mistake". Caller ID said "INBOUND CALL".

8:33 pm answered with business name and got recorded message "Sorry, my mistake, wrong number"

Those of us in business need to get legislation passed to OUTLAW autmated dialing machines and companies blocking their info when they call. I am so tired of answering an unknown caller that is a salesperson trying to sell me credit card processing, or WORSE a political diatribe! The unknown caller option shold be reserved for INDIVIDUALS who may not want their number recorded for telemarketing purposes.

And once I tell you to take me off your list, TAKE ME OFF!

How about a DO NOT CALL registry for business lines? How much of our day is taken up by these idiots calling with their automated machines or sales pitches? If I want your serice, I'll find YOU!

This is such a scam. I was just talking to my attorney today and he also notices a lot of "after hour" calls. The telemarketing SCUM KNOW that the support staff go home, so the boss is answering the call. I have just gotten to be very rude and profane. THAT seems to be working!

Received call @ 8:25 EDT. Automated message of 'My mistake. Sorry about that' then a hang up. When I called back got a recording indicating caller was not available and to leave a message. I did not leave a message.

One of those fraudulent before/after hours messages for credit card processing. "SORRY I KEEP MISSING YOU" "BECAUSE OF YOUR GREAT CREDIT CARD PROCESSING HISTORY" We have no credit card processing history.
