This is related to the same bunch of turds calling from http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/410-774-8039 / http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/410-774-8012 / http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/269-768-2016 410-774-8662 is doing the rounds today - see http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/410-774-8662). Per "Kahuna", the vacation scammers are also calling from this number, so it's not limited to car warranty scams.

Also, the last 4 digits in both 410-774-xxxx and 269-768-xxxx will be different, but it's likely to be a pool of numbers assigned to one VoIP wholesaler (just like how 480-543-xxxx and 623-238-xxxx is the same spammer calling from 2 different area codes). I don't think that the idiots calling from 410-774 and 269-768 are directly related to "SLG Sales", but I do believe that both of these boiler-room operations are operating various scams-du-jour concurrently.

Pre-recorded message left on my answering machine. They said they sent me a postcard about my vehicle's extended warranty (yes they did.. thanks for letting me know). In the message they say I need to activate my vehicle extended warranty "before the deadline". An obvious telemarketing ploy that sounds legitimate since I recently purchased a new car. They have called numerous times.

I have received regular pre-recorded spam calls from 269 768 2228. After a pause, a pre-recorded female voice explains she is calling regarding reports on "your credit cards". The caller continues on regarding various credit card balances (which have nothing to do with anyone in my household) and solicits my business for reduced rates.
Like (I hope) most, I hung up and reported these repeat-unsolicited calls to Bell Canada (my telephone service provider. Perhaps governments may one day respect our privacy and set penalties for these nuisances.

Automated call asking if I carry a balance on a Mastercard, VISA or AMEX of over $4000 and pay 13% or more on balance that I'm eligible for a reduced interest rate dial 1. I hung up but I would imagine a lot of people would get sucked in.
