We keep getting computerized calls from this number stating that it is Kohl's Department Store looking for someone named Shirley or Julia Childers as best as I can spell it. Despite ALWAYS following the prompt to let them know that they have the wrong number, they continue to call. It is very annoying. We are a couple of seniors and getting to the phone in time to answer it is often difficult. We do not know this person, are not related to her in any way and have never heard of her. We have had this number for over 3 years now, and it is our third attempt in 9 years to find a number that is not attached to some deadbeat that we don't know who owes somebody money and hasn't paid it back and used our number to get credit. I feel that our government--the one we pay for with our tax dollars--should do something meaningful to stop this kind of abuse of innocent citizens by requiring collection departments to comply with their own prompts and better yet conduct this business by mail. I'll bet if they mailed this person a collection letter it wouldn't come to my address. STOP THE TYRANNY!!!

Got a call today. I answered and woman said " I'm looking for John Block". I answered " no one here by that name" and hung up. First name was right - last name wrong. So... John Block beware who ever you are !!! Sounds like phishing call.

I just obtained new cell service for my wife and me from AT&T in Jefferson City, Missouri.

No one has been given this number so I became suspicious when I got a call from here.

I did some research and found one site, PeopleSmart (a commercial lookup site) that gave me a map and physical locale of Menominee Falls, Wisconsin.

I did not pay to have it looked up due to limited funds, but I am going to have AT&T look into it.

I've been repeatedly called from callers identifing themselves as representing collections Kohl's Dept. Store. From number 262-704-9780 and 262-703-1977. The first call that came in I requested that my number be removed from the call list as I was not the person they were seeking, nor was this a contact number for that person. The callers were sometimes compliant and sometimes down right rude. In any case, they still keep calling. The last time they called, Feb 7 2013 I ask that I be placed on the "No Call List". We'll see if that holds water. Voicemail mails they left ask me to contact Kohl's Dept Storte at this number "1-888-814-3555". When I called I told them I was not the person they were seeking and to remove me from the call list as well. They appeared to be complienat but still went on to try to request information from me. I asked if they understood what I just told them and they said yes, but still continued to seek information. We'll see if they call today because if they do I'm filing a harasment charge against the phone number, any individual associated with calling me, there supervisor/manager (oh yeah, didn't mention I ask to speak to their supervisor and each they hung up on me) and Kohl's Department Store.

Damn it's Kohls Dept store and I forgot to pay. My mistake. At least the message just states to call them. Unlike other jabroni's companies where they leave personal information on VM and it has absolutely nothing to do with you!!! Thanks KOHLS for following PROPER PROCEDURE and sorry I'm paying late!

Robocall, claims to be from Kohl's. I'm e-mailing them to find out. I have used their card but have a small balance, not due until next month. Weird. They asked for the last digits of my social so I hung up.

Just keep cutting those puppet strings one at a time until they’re gone. It can’t be done overnight, but it can be done.

Borrow as little as possible. Whenever you can, save up for an item instead.

Don’t subscribe, don’t enroll, don’t register (or do it on a very selective basis).

Don’t ‘bundle’ your products—especially with banks who will ‘cross-collateralize’ your accounts and then ‘rob Peter to pay Paul’ (you agree to it in the fine print when you sign up for the bundle.

Use high-deductible insurance and pay for the ‘nickel and dime’ things yourself. You’ll not only save money, you’ll leave far less of a paper trail.

Be careful with technology and set your privacy setting to ‘private.’ Losing your privacy is like losing your virginity: once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Good luck!

I absolutely agree!!! However circumstances, especially at this point in history, have shown that even those making a good living are at risk in many ways.Debt collectors, who by the way, are a legal, illegal racket of organized crime, telemarketers, and business in general, are corrupt to the point of being Economic Saviors because of their reliance on the everyday real and true american.. There are many ways of dealing with these people and you and I both know that what you say is yes, an option, but for most, it is merely a thought because of the puppet strings government and business hold..

You think they’re screaming now? You can make them scream even louder by not dealing in debt—by spending your own money without asking their permission first.

Make every effort to live your life on a cash basis (yes, you may need to cut back on what you buy). Or make them pay you by using a rewards card and paying it off every month.

Leave them masturbating their wallets with no result.

The patriotic thing to do is put them out of business.

Look!! People!! All I hear and read is that you are pissed, threatened, scared, manipulated and ready for a stress test.. We all get calls from telemarketers, debt collectors, businesses, and just about anybody who is a flat out womb rejected piece of human inconvenience. STAND UP!!! Countries around the world are standing up. What are we?? Puppets?? The laws, of which there are many, are designed to tease you, manipulate you, and harass you. Politicians are bought and payed for.Judges and lawyers are on the books. Municipal, State and federal governments are pathetic and out to get you. To all these lo-lifes making calls. Your time is coming.. Those of us who have had it are going to COME AFTER YOU.. Plain and simple.. If we got rid of all these buinesses, corporations, and politicians who are AGAINST your moral and ethical well being, at least one third of the population will be seeing their "lights fade". The law is NOT ON OUR SIDE.. SHUT UP AND MAKE A MOVE>>> Join Those Of Us Who are Ready... ENOUGH OF THIS WHINING AND GET DOWN TO BUSINESS...

They call twice a day sometimes with no identity and other times it will say it's Kohl's.
This may not be Kohl's and it may be a scam to get your social security # or if you press
"O' for customer service they may be able to use your line too make long distance phone calls.
Don't believe this is really Kohl's trying to collect money.
Don't talk to anyone...they will pick up then hang up to use your phone.

Comes up on caller ID as Name Unknown and there is never a message left on the answering machine. If there is no message left than I am not going to waste my time just calling back a number on caller ID. If these companies want to be respected then they should start respecting the people that they are calling by at least leaving a message!! Of course that would mean that the powers that be would need to use some common sense which will never happen!!

This is the only number that keeps calling my phone about every other day. I've told everyone not to call me except in emergencies, so whoever it is obviously doesn't know me. Apparently it's Kohls?

I did not know it was Kohls until I was reading the info on the number from this site. I do have a Kohls credit card and I had gone online and paid my bill yesterday morning in full. so, waht I did was to call the 800 number on the back of my card and I hit a lot of zeroes to get to a real live person. Anyway, it was late but she could see that I had paid in full so she said she would take off the $2.42 finance charge and the $25.00 late fee since I had not ever been late in the past. she was vry nice. But they did call twice today and once yesterday and never left a message.

it is Kohl's. They are calling about a store credit card. I answered the second time, and it was for a late payment. They knew the card's balance. I checked by calling the number ON the card. Still, very annoying. I think if you have a Kohl's card you should call the 800 number on the back of the card to see if anything is wrong. If you don't have a card, ignore it or complain to the BBB. either way, answering only rewards their rude behavior.

Relentless Kohl's, no wonder American businesses are not making as much as they would like to they have
callers calling at least 12 times a day to a number that has no business with them. Go figure.

They call for someone that use to have our phone number. We've had our # now for 5 years. We keep telling them that "Ms. Clayton does not live here." but they keep calling. They are rude. My wife has a Koh's card but maybe uses it 2 or 3 times a year with no balance. I got fed up with them and blaocked their calls with call filtering with my VOIP provider. If they call now, our phone doesn't ring and they can't go to voice mail. I check on-line to see my call logs and those guys keep calling. Losers!!!
