this company is a really fraud. i am taking legal action on them so if there is anyone else who fell into the same situation please let me know. They closed down the company and redirected their service to anothter company. And all they could provide us with was a 6 day free vacation. After taking my money they said they could not even refund that back. They are in for a treat.
I got called too. They said I signed up for medical insurance. I know I never would have though (since I'm poor and the county pays for mine) NTL they said they would charge my acct in 2 days for $359. They said they had all my acct info and just wanted me to verify it. I told them if they charged me I woulkd porsecute them. My bank said I could put in a stop payment and be charged for it. They also said I could change my extention accoult number. Either way it's going to be a hassle.
I beleive these are the same scammers that use 253-390-6784
. Do not give them ANY information. If someone doesn't hang up on you, they'll be phishing for your bank account. Good luck!!!
I Called 1-866-969-2574
which is the company National Medical Strategy and spoke with a supervisor. They do offer medical discount packages but have no idea who is calling from 253-390-6784 or 316-351-0618
. Now that they are aware of the scammers they will try to do what they can to help catch these people (hopefully this is true). It made me feel better to let them know I was very upset this is happening to me and others! I'm still receiving calls as of last night 11-6-07 at 5:06 p.m. on my cell. This time the girl said her name was Melissa Stevens. I asked if she was with Natioanl... she said no! I asked then who are you this time so I can report it and she hung up on me!!! I will try everytime they call to ask the questions not them!
We know these recent calls are from the Wichita Kansas area..
The last number, 253-390-6784
, is in the Tacoma Washington area.
Report this scam to the FTC, local law enforcement, your local news station, or whatever it takes to take them down!
I to have been getting numerous calls from 253-390-6784
and now those have stopped and i have gotten 3 frim this 316-351-0618 number in the last 2 hours I answer it and the line goes dead, no noise or people on line. these people need to find something better to do
I just received a call from the 316-351-0618 #, asking for my name (first and last!). The woman with an accent said she was from Medical Strategies and that I would be receiving a packet in the mail "that I had ordered" for the program that would give me (I think) 65% off my medical expenses. I asked what in the heck was she talking about; I have good medical insurance. She said, you talked to our representative, and you probably get so many phone calls you don't remember. I asked how they expected to charge me the $376 (I think this was it...) and she said with my bank account information that I supposedly gave them. I asked what bank account information, and she said I would have to confirm that with them. I totally freaked out at her, and after she said some really abusive things, she hung up!!! ...and, by the way, I have also been receiving the 253-390-6784
phone calls also - and got to talk to the woman with the accent one time! I believe that I will report this to my bank also.
Stopped getting calls from 253-390-6784
and started getting calls from 316-351-0618 today. I'm seriously thinking about filing harassment charges with the DA's in each county these calls are coming from. Whatever you do DO NOT give them any info. With the first number I mentioned one lady just started answering the calls "Investigations, Detective (make up a name) how can I help you? It worked for her and the calls stopped.
Asked for me by first name. Woman with an accent. Sounds like same scam as 253-390-6784
Some foreign lady called last week from this number and asked for me by name - I told her that person was not here and asked to take a message and she hung up. They have called me several times a day since then and hung up when I answered. Today when they called me I didn't say anything - after a moment she asked if anyone was there and I said Hello. She said her name was Amanda from Freeline Financial or something and said I had 'won' $400,000.00 in free grant money that I didn't have to pay back - she just needed to confirm my bank information - I told her how cool! I work for the Government! She couldn't hang up quick enough!
We keep getting calls from 253-390-6784 that says Seattle, WA and from 801-623-4626
that says Salt Lake City, UT
ccrider2262 Nov 03rd, 2007
I, too, received 2 calls from "Freeline Financial Serveices." She used the name "Patricce Sanders," She claimed to work for an agency from Philadelphia, PA, whch assists the US government in dispensing these grants, up to $75,000. They (only) insist on a processing fee of $359 within 2 weeks of this call. I asked Ms. Sanders what would happen if I agreed to the fee. She told me that If I agreed to paying this fee, then I'd be transfered to another representative, who will ask me for my checking account number. The checking account number is required so the government grant money can be directly deposited into your checking account. LOL I told Ms. Sanders that I do not give my account number over the phone to someone who has called me. If I call my mortgage company and give them my checking account number for an automatic payment, that's a different scenario. She got very upset and said, " I'm sorry you feel that way. I will document your response and you will not be eligible for the grant, -goodbye." This is a total scam. Do not be fooled. Don't give them any information.
I don't know who the hell this is but they won't quit calling me!
I reported this number to the Pierce County Sheriff's department. I suggest all of you do the same. The contact is Emily Watson at: EWATSON@co.pierce.wa.us
Peninsula Detachment 6006 133rd St NW Gig Harbor WA 98332 253-798-4995
Emily is trying to track these people, but does need times and dates.
they called me and said i could get 25,000 in grants but would not give information to contact them. the area code says Washington. I said better business bureau and they hung up fast.
This must be a scam. That one person (I think Tia) who apparently received the grant probably hasn't gotten a dime. Even if you did get the paperwork, that means nothing. No one on this entire list has received legitimacy. I have called the Washington FBI and will hopefully be getting this taken care of somehow. Has anyone paid for the processing fee? We need to know what results became of action.
This number has called me twelve times in the last 3 days. I don't know who it is. I picked it up once because it was later at night, but no one spoke. This is scary because I actually have a police report out for harrassing phone calls I was getting a year ago. when I called back it goes straight to an answering machine and asks to leave a message or press 2 to start a fax.
They called me twice. Unfortunately, I gave them the information. Is there anything I can do to stop this?
Tiffany Creech Nov 02nd, 2007
I have at least 10 calls from this number now nite and day. When you answer they hang up. You call the number back you get a message machine saying leave a message or fax. PLEASE how do we stop these calls.
CALIFORNIA Nov 02nd, 2007
have gotten repeated calls from this number when answered they would hang up. Called number back heard recording leave a message or fax number.
Between 10/29/07 & 10/31/07, this # has called my home phone 9 times. Sometimes I wasn't home, but several others, I answered and was hung up on. One call on 10/31/07, I answered and a woman with an accent asked to speak to "Sharon." I said, "This is Sharon" and she said again, that she wanted to speak with Sharon. I repeated again, that I was Sharon. She hung up! I waited a little bit, thinking she just got cut off accidently, and she would call back. She did not, so I called her back from my cell and was only able to receive a generic voice-mail message, so I left my first name, explained what had happened in the previous call, left my home # for them to call back, and I have not heard back!
The caller said that I am the recipient of a $12,500 grant and he needed my checking acct information in order to have the money attached to my account. I asked why I would be recieving a grant I had not applied for and he said it was from my income tax information and my student loan. When I told him this call was a little wierd he said fine if I did not want to give him my information then my portion of the money would be going to charity and have a great day.
A person who claimed to be Sean Adams ID # SA0342 with Freeline Financial offering between $4500 and $12500 US Grant Money and would send a package in 10 days. All I needed to do was give them my back account number, so they could make a direct transfer from my bank account to theirs for $359. That would start the process. I asked him to send me the information, and then I would decide if I wanted to do this. He said it doesn't work that way. I asked him what the Better business Bureau would say about his company. He said they have been in business 6 years. I declined and he hung up.

this number 253 390 6784 (shows Tacoma, Wa. on the caller ID.)keeps calling our home. We are on the no call list here in Wisconsin. So after reading through the other comments I will forward this information to the proper people here in the state. Do they think we are all stupid and would ever give them a processing fee..Why can't the law enforcement personnel take care of things like these people.
the guy i spoke to offered grant applications as well as 2,500 if i had a check account to transfer to when i asked for a call back number he hung up
# was 253-390-6784

I got a call from this number, and they said that they would give me a government grant for any where bethween $4,500 and $45,000. They said that a 1 time $359.00 fee would be taken out of my account after the government check arrived.
Person with accent knew my name.
They called and hung up three times.
I called the number and it only accepted faxes.

Got a call for the first time today by a girl name Kayla Francis from Free Line Financial. They said that I had been approved for a $4500 dollar grant and said that it was going to be put into my bank account on Nov. 4th. She said that all they needed was my bank account number and it would be in on the 4th. I told her I had to check with the bank and that I would call her back. She then insisted that I would be given a telephone number once my bank account number was confirmed. When I insisted she asked if I wanted the grant or not. I told her I had to check it out. And she told me she would call back later. It's a good thing I ran across this page.
ans right away as soon as i picked up i heard a click and line went dead
I'VE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER FOR A WEEK NOW. TODAY 10/29/2007 I GOT 5 CALLS FROM THEM. THIS IS AS AT THE TIME OF THIS REPORT.I TRIED TO CALL BACK BUT RECEIVED AN AUTOMATED INVITATION TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. THIS AFTERNOON, I PICKED THE CALL BEFORE THEY COULD CUT IT OFF BUT COULDN'T GET A RESPONSE. PERHAPS A FEMALE VOICE WAS HEARD BUT I'M NOT TOO SURE.
I answered the phone tonight after them calling continuously for the last week or so. This girl by the name of Brittany James told me that I signed up for some medical coverage and that she needed to verify my bank information to get a receipt #. That I could use when my packet of info came in the mail to cancel or activate the coverage. She said the company name is National Medical Strategy and the 800 number is 866-969-2574
. So I called the number from my cell while I was on the phone with her and it said it was some customer service number but does not say a company name. After arguing with this person for twenty minutes that I would never have given my banking info over the phone, which she insisted I did sometime in September, I finally hung up. And I'm glad I found this website to calm my nerves.
I was called by a young lady named Asia and she said that I would qualify for at least $4,500.00 and when I called the 1-866-569-2573
number and asked for her, they said that this # was customer service. I am interested in going through the process to see if I would qualify as we are an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization - Crossroads Harvest Center, Inc. and have been restoring a house built in 1841 where we house missionaries, have ladies, men and youth retreats, have weddings and receptions. I speak publicly and we see the need for expansion to build a retreat center, cottages, chapel and pavillion to accommodate the needs of the local and surrounding areas.
We would like to purchase anointing oils, alabaster products and unique baskets to see to help generate additional monies; need money for overhead while developing and need to purchase equipment for the wedding and reception aspect of the ministry.
Please contact me as soon as possible.

I've gotten 6 calls in 3 days. The first call was at 6am on a Saturday. These people obviously have no courtesy and don't know when to stop. They called 4 times on Saturday alone. I don't intend on picking up. I'm glad I read these comments first. Thanks to you all.

This Jamaican woman called saying I was awarded a 6500 government grant and what I was I gonna use it for then saying I actually got 25000.00 but I would have to wait for the information to come in the mail and that the confirmation numbers she was gonna give me were very important that if I didn't write them down or remember them I could not get the grant then she said they are the processors and they charge a small fee but it would be reimbursed in the grant I asked how much she said $359 when I asked would I have to provide bank info she said yes but if I didn't have the money then to call back and they could push it back 2 more weeks I began asking how can I prove they are aligitament company she put some jamaican man on and when I asked him the same thing he said I should be able to call my bank and verify that they do business with them. But I had to give the bank info today in order to get it I refused without research into there company and he hung up. All in All they were polite and told me to have wonderful afternoon. Save yourself the trouble and don't even answer
Not Fooled Oct 28th, 2007
got call from a lady named Stacy Jones and offered to receive a federal grant of $7,500 plus the fee I will make to them thru electronic withdrawal from bank account for the amount of $359. She stated she is from Carribean and this transaction is very ligitimate, she further stated she is calling from Washington D.C. and their main office is in PA then afterwards she transferred me to Kent Edwin to do some verification and give me the confirmation number for the said transaction. Call back the two numbers but both are not working.
She called saying she had a government grant waiting for me. I told her that was not true as i do not qualify for a grant because im international. She got mad and hanged up. I called her back and no response only a fax machine.

I recieved this same phone call regarding grants, the difference is that I have been applying for grants so I thought that it was ligit. After reading all of these messages I am thinking not so much. I am going to call my bank and request to change the account number as well. The only thing that they did not ask for was my full SSN. I am on hold at the 866-569-2611
customer service number givin for the past 5 min and keep getting a message that all representatives are busy and my call will be answered as sequenced. I tried calling the number that called me and it went straight to a voicemail. The customer service number hung up after being on hold and no one answered. I definately think that this is a scam. Why are they all jamacian? If anyone else has any information on this that has gone through the whole process and actually recieved their money please let me know. TIA - probably one of their representative workers. Out of 30 or more posts only one got their money, doesnt seem legit to me. Any other comments. DEFINATELY A SCAM!!!

I have been recieving calls from this number also I usually don't pick them up, but when I do they hang up on me! So I have never spoken to an actual person...but I did get a call that seems similar to all of this from a 360-272-1963
where they say I am getting a grant no less then 4500 dollars and ask for all my info.... they gave me their customer service #, its 866-569-2611
which also has a blog. when I told them I didn't have that much money in my account they said that would be okay... I searched the 360 numberand it is a residential line from enumclaw, WA....? If anyone has answers or went through with the whole thing tell what happens
I have been recieving calls from this # now twice a day for about 2 weeks now. If I answer the call the person hangs up on me with out saying anything. If I call back it goes to a recording saying, "Press number 1 to leave a fax or leave a message after the beep."

RODNEY ANDERSON. That's the name of the man I spoke with. He just called me back. I told him I found evidence that this was a scam. He said if it was a scam he would have hung up on me when my ?s started. He also said they have been in business for 10 years and I said I would love to give him my information as soon as I receive information regarding this awesome deal, mentioned they should have plenty of co. info since they have been around for so long...must have hit a nerve because this is when he finally hung up on me
=( Boo! I was sooo looking foward to giving my account info to play in all my $grant money$
I was given a company name (Freeline Financial Services) and contact number and told I would receive $4500 if I paid $359, waited for signature papers via registered mail, then within 72 hrs the money would be put in my account. I forgot his name but the man told me it was grant money because of my debt but I just bought an affordable home and my only debt is a $300 secured credit card and student loans. I told him to call me back later this afternoon while I looked into the company name and he referred me to freegrantsearch.com to help me investigate. The web site is a rabbit hole and they called from the same 253 number.
ITS A NUMBER FOR THE FBI INTERNET CRIME & COMPLAINT CENTER OR VISIT THEIR WEBSITE www.IC3.gov
I'm sure the owner of the phone number are ethiopians, looking to scam someone, had a problem with similar numbers, they were ethiopians trying to sell scams
the 253-390-6784 and those 213 area codes, they need to be investigated
and legally stopped.
multiple calls from 253-390-6784 after searching the web for grant information. They had my address and other information, but only my first initial because I don't fill out any forms online with my full name. Basically refused to give the woman with an accent any bank information and only managed to get their customer service call back # 866-569-2611
after she consulted with her supervisor. (scam) this is all taking place at 9:00pm of course & when I told her that I would prefer to call their customer service line during business hours she was very snippy " Do whatever you like lady" Only thing, different is that she told me it was $10,000 grant
pfiffer220 Oct 19th, 2007
Total scam. I use to work helping people with grants and you do not ever PAY anything up front to get one. Also any information about your finances would be disclosed on private paperwork through the government office not over a phone! This is definitely a scam!!!!!!!! Stay away from these people!!!
PERSON CALLED SAID I WAS APPROVED FOR A FREE GRANT,BUT REQUESTED BANK INFO DIDN'T SAY ANYTHNING ABOUT PAYING FOR THE GRANT,SAID THIS GRANT DOESNT HAVE PAID BACK

GOVT GRANT, PROBABLY FRAUD, CALL WAS INTERUPPTED
i recived many calls and every time i tried to call back the number i got a answering service/fax.. i went along with the woman who eventually i did speek with and she too did have an jamaican, carribean accent.. i did further investigating and found out about this page and decided to call the woman back and tell her that i wanted to cancel my payment of 359.00 to recieve a grand of 4500.00. after doing so i then went to my bank and changed my checking account number... i would advise anyone to do so if they have given them information. they did tell me what kind of grant i would be receiving and that i was suppose to use it wisley to better my life and not vacation with it or gamble they said that it was 100% garentee.. as for that i was tempted but soon after that was advised to not continue the scam.... good luck to anyone else out there!!!!
Started getting these calls yesterday. This morning they called and hung up on my husband. Then they called, I said he's sleeping and the hung up on me. 20 minutes later she, (with the Jamaican accent), called and when I asked who was calling she said "Freeline Financial Services". I handed the phone to my husband and she had hung up. We are on the DoNOtCall list, and we have no loans, so thought that was fishy and ended up here after searching on google. Interesting! Think I'll answer Maricopa County Sheriff's office next time. I've had about 6 calls since Tues. and this is thurs.
I had a similar call today, from someone named Igna John. Like an Idiot I gave them the info that they asked for. Now I have to go change my bank account number and stop payment. Dont be an idiot like me.
They said I was getting a $4500 grant from the government (for what reason I don't know). She had my contact information and asked it was correct. Then mentioned the $395 and said the funds would be deposited directly into my checking account. When she asked if I had any questions I said, "If you are going to need my personal account information for me to get this money, then I am not interested." The line went silent as she hung up. I do think this is certainly a fraud.
Big D Texas Oct 18th, 2007
We just confirmed this is a Pac-West phone number (verified thru Pac-West themselves). They are limited on what they can do unless the receive multiple complaints and even then, may be unable to do anything unless they receive info from a law enformcement agency. We were directed by local law enforcement to contact the FBI filed office in Washington via phone and file the complaint with them. Only took 3 minutes so I suggest you contact them at 206-622-0460
and then contact Pac West at 1-877-626-4325
Same as the others, called, wanted bank info then hung up when i wouldnt give. $4500 grant (yeah right)
Get a call from this number randomly. When i try to call back, it says I can send a fax or leave a message, but i never get a person. They always hang up on me
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! SO tired of these IDIOTS calling me and asking for bank account info. NO, I didn't get a grant. NO, I don't want a credit card.....seems like their approach changes every other day. JERKS!

Grant SCAM! I don't know how they got my info, they are persistant and act like they know you when they call. DO NOT give them your info!
I got a call from the number 253-390-6784. The lady on the call had an accent and she asked my acount number and stuff. The whole thing found ligiment. so i end up giving my information. Has any one given them 369$. That is the amount they asked me to pay. Anyone know they are a scam or not?
I have called them from my house phone and informed them that I have sent a letter of complaint to their subscriber per one complaint listed here, Pacwest. I mentioned the fact that there have been several complaints and gave this html link so that they could see for themselves that I am not the only one complaining about this phone number. I have also complained to the FCC and I am complaining to the California Attorney General's Office about them calling me after being told repeatedly not to call me. This phone number when I have called it back allows you to leave a message, I've left one informing them of what I am doing. I did call my city police department over the weekend (I had to wait for a return call from a detective) but was told today to inform them that we will go to court. I can take them to small claims and go for the maximum of $7,500.00 for harassing phone calls because of being on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and having records from the phone company of the calls. In the meantime, this detective is researching the source of these phone calls and if I receive any information I will return to this website and pass it on to all of you! I do not play with these calls and I will do the things I say so these people need to stop calling my number!!!

They call and when I answer there is nobody there. I called it back and it says I can leave a message! WHOOO HOO! Yeah, I don't think so.
They have continued to call, I had ignored the calls until today. Whe I snswered she told me that I had been confirmed for the grant. Told her I had not applied for a grant but she insisted that I have $6500.00 coming from being a tax payer over the past 3 years..it was a reward back from the government When I told her to go ahead and mail my check, she hung up...I gave her no information....
Keeps calling..called like 10 times and wont stop! wtf!
Received at least 6 calls every day for the past couple days. Never answer and they never leave a message.
Picked it up once and they hung up without saying a word.
California Oct 12th, 2007
iv been receiving a call from this number for the past two days. they call me and just hang up.
Got two calls from them today. Also got 2 yesterday. No messgae was left.
I have been getting at least 2 calls a day from this #, so today I decided to pick it up to see what they wanted and who they were. Like many others on here there was a woman with a Jamaican accent on the other end claiming to represent Freeline Financial Services. When I asked how she got my phone number she promptly hung up, thus leading me to the conclusion that this is indeed a scam and no one under any circumstances should pick up calls from this number or give any personal info to them.
I was called and told that I had been selected by the government to receive a government grant. She wouldn't tell me for how much. She said that I would need to pay a processing fee for the documents in the amount of $359 and that I would need to pay it before Oct. 19th. Then she told me that if I couln't pay it by then that she could move it back to the 24th. I asked if I would receive documentation to prove it wasn't a scam before I paid and all she would say was that I would get a confirmation number at the end of the verification process. She proceeded to ask me for my bank account information and I told her I wouldn't give her that without some kind of documentation. She said that she would call me back and then hung up on me.
Got a call in the morning from this number didnt answer. Called again later in the day. I answered, the woman was jamaican sounding and wanted to fill me in on something. I asked what company she was from and she responded with something that sounded like regency something or another. I said I was not interested in offers and please do not call me at this number. She responded snippily with "who said you are getting an offer?" I hung up at this point.
i have been getting calls from this number also. i asked last night that they stop calling me and they called agai

I got 5 calls today all of the sudden. Supposly they are offering me a $4000 dollar govrnment grant. They wanted to "verify" my account, but when I said that I wanted more info. on their company he hung up.
Got a call. Woman with Jamacan accent said I was on a list for grant money. I asked who she was and what company she represented. She only said do you know what grant money is? I told her I wanted her company name and phone number, so I could report her for not having a do not call list . She hung up
Same thing about a grant. I refused and wanted more info and they just keep calling about twice a day. They want money up front to award me a grant. I think that kind of condridicts itself.
I, too, have been receiving these calls for about 4 days now-multiple
times a day.
An online search at 411.com shows this info:
Type: Land Line
Provider: Pac - West Telecomm
Location: Tacoma, WA
I sent a letter of complaint to Pac-West (email@example.com)
and a copy of the complaint to the DA for King County
Don't know if that will do any good, but I feel better just
trying to fight back!
I kept getting messages, too. They wanted to offer me a grant, but only if I paid $359 first. They wouldn't tell me what kind of grant or how much, but insisted on bank information for the $359. Sabina (or possibly Sabrina) hung up on me when I insisted on more info before paying the $359.
they call and want bank account and other personal information. they are claiming to be working with the government on grant money. they refuse to give their information to contact back.
