Most of these phone/fundraiser people work for an organization that at least 90% goes to who's running the organization and not who their raising funds for , they give very little to who they are raising money for .
I recieved a call from this number...building homes for heroes. I ripped him a new one. My son is was serously injured in Iragi war, when I started to ask questions of this group and what do they do and where. I got the feeling it was a scam. I got so mad we can say I gave him a new A whole. People trying to scamothers out of money on the shirts of our solider. Just sick...I have called our state attorney hoping he can bust this guy.

As with others, no message left. Fortunately, Comcast allows me to block up to 12 numbers, and based on others' comments below, that's what I did. Thanks for the info everyone!
http://www.buildinghomesforheroes.org/information-request This is the main culprit behind this charity. Everyone should e-mail him and clog of his e-mail. Better yet call him. He is the CEO of Advanced Auto Parts.

Caller ID says Royal Oak MI.
Another hang-up no message.
Yet another hang up call from an unsolicited number. IF this is actually "Helping Our Heroes" as some claim, and IF it is real, I'd actually be willing to support this cause during the govt shutdown if it is meant to support our Veterans and those killed in action. However, since no message was left, I have to assume it was just one more scam of the hundreds I receive per month. So much for being on the DNC list and making sure my privacy settings are correct for every company I do business with. The DNC is just another failed government program and another waste of our hard earned tax dollars. SMH
No message left on voicemail. Occam's Razor law says this is spam or scam.
