Talked at length to soliciter that was peddleing platinum credit cards..I informed her that I was on the "do not call list"..she apologized, but refused any information. I explained to her she was in violation of the TCPA, she apologized more but refused information other than florida location.
I got a supervisor on line for a repeat performance, she cited "policy, etc"..I had her admit that her employer had ordered her to violate federal law by refusal to disclose location, esp
service address, etc..VoiceLog LLC 580 Burbank St., Ste. 120 Broomfield, CO 80020 CO Tel. 240-631-8392

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, DIDN'T RECOGNIZE AND DIDN'T ANSWER
We received a phone call from Waldorf MD on 2/22/2008. The caller did not leave any message. The phone number was (240) 210-7101.
recorded message that warranty on car was about to expire; when instructed to press 3 to be removed from list, was disconnected.
After pressing 1 for warranty information(I wanted to get more info on the company, the person identified the company as Warranty trust but when I asked fromwhat number they were calling, he hung up.
I recently listed a motor vehicle on autotrader.com and used my cell phone as the contact number (luckily, instead of my home #). A week later, the vehicle is sold, the ad is cancelled, and I start getting phone calls from this number and another number. I didn't answer either, but I checked this website and they are both related to "auto warranty expiration". Coincidence, I doubt it.
Called my cell - didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. No message left. If it's truly important, a message would be left.
I called this number back and it was a recording saying, "You've been removed from our preferred customer calling list. Good-bye."
I got a call from this number last night kind of late and didn't answer because I didn't even know the area code. Called back and all the message said was that I had been removed from their calling list???? Whatever!
called once yesterday PM and today AM - no message

They called and had the automated message...$2/day for car warranty, etc. Then gave the option to press 1 to speak to someone, or 3 to opt out. I pressed 1, and someone asked for the make and year of my car. I replied "you tell me" and asked what this was all about, and they immediately hung up on me.
Recv'd call from this number but did not anwer nor did they leave a message.

To file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission, you must have been called by this scam artist after your number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for 31 days. If that's the case for you, and you want to give these creeps a good kick in the shins, start here: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
If you are getting this annoying warranty scam telemarketing call on your cell phone, or other service that bills by usage volume, it is indeed illegal. The FCC has a document you can read or download at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/truthaboutcellphones.pdf that explains the ins and outs of this. It contains this reassuring nugget: "...it is unlawful for any person to make any call (other than a call made for emergency purposes or made with express prior consent) using any automatic telephone dialing system or any artificial or prerecorded voice message to any telephone number assigned to a paging service, mobile telephone service, or any service for which the called party is charged for the call." So there.
On second thought, the URL seems to be for a much more complicated type of complaint. I might just call them and see what they recommend. If they offer any pertinent advice, I'll post it.
Same as others have said here, an unsolicited call from someone leaving a message that my auto warranty is about to expire, blah blah bah. I've gotten two of these before, both of them since switching to Sprint for cell phone service. This time, I actually pressed 1 to speak to someone. A very officious-sounding woman asked me for the make and model of my automobile. I said I just wanted to remind them that it is illegal to make unsolicited telemarketing calls to cell phone numbers. She said "Actually, no it is not. You have a great day," and hung up. This is obviously a scam of some kind. I'm reporting this to the Maryland Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection. I believe that would be the way to go. Here's the URL to file a complaint: http://www.oag.state.md.us/Consumer/complaint.htm
If they call anyone back don't scare them off!!! just act like you are Stupid but very interested. Give them a year of 2006 and model Lexus 300se or something else just to see what they will ask next. If they want a credit card tell them you don't have one but you can send them a check. See if they will give you an address, tell them that your Grandma is sitting right next to you and she wants a warranty too. Maybe their greed will get them busted WE MUST FIND THESE PEOPLE and have them arrested !!!!!!!!!!!!

I THEY CALLED MY CELL WHILE I WAS AT WORK - SO I DIDNT ANSWER EITHER...AND THEY LEFT NO MESSAGE... MY NUMBER IS ON A DO NOT CALL LIST, IS NOT LISTED IN MY NAME AND I HAVE ONLY GIVEN IT TO PEOPLE I KNOW AND TRUST...PLUS IF IT WAS THE SAME SCAMMERS... MY CAR IS OVER 17YS OLD AND A JUNKER TO BOOT, THERE IS NO WAY THAT ANY COMPANY WOULD PROVIDE A WARRANTY FOR SOMETHING THAT BARELY RUNS...
Called my cell today no message left. If these people are saying warranties have expired and trying to sell insurance, why call me? Don't own a vehicle!
They are calling my 13yr old daughters CELL phone!! Annoying! Car warranty--umm yeah, OK, my 13 yr old has a car!
They called me twice around 11:30am and 1pm i didn't answer as i was in class but i tried to call back and it didnt even ring. And how did they get my number im all the way in LA???? And i'm only 15 years old and some of you are saying that they're calling about car warrantys, I DONT HAVE A CAR!!!! AND IM ALL THE WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY FROM THEM!!?!?!?!? WTH
When I answered, I got a recording notifying me that my warranty was about to expire. For Sh*ts and Grins, I pressed 3 to speak to a representative. Some chump picked up and said "Warranty service department, can I have the year, make, and model of your vehicle please?" To which I said, "Oh, Don't you guys have that already?". He responded by promptly hanging up on me. This is absolutely some kind of racket and I don't know how they got my number (probably random dialing), but it blows for sure.
Called me and wheh I answer it they wasn't say any thing
Bastards, keep calling
I definitely don't have a warranty an an 11 year old car.
I called back and it said I was not on preferred list. Who was this and why did they call my cell phone?
Alison Sheehey Feb 19th, 2008
One of several recent robot callers that play a recorded message about expiring auto warranties. Registered for the "do not call" list -- but that hasn't helped so far. Isn't there some way to return-spam these people?
My 14 year old daughter got it and didn't answer, good thing I guess!
Call and report this scam!

Something about car insurance????? I dont even have a freaking car...
This call came in telling me my car's warranty was about to expire. I knew it was a scam so I hung up.
answered to recording that my car warranty is about to expire (which it is not). Hung up.
Left message regarding warranties but it didn't make any sense
Robot said my warranty was up on my car. Pressed 1 and got a human. He asked me the make and model of my car. I asked him why he didn't know that if he knew my warranty was expired. He hung up. And now identity theives are now trying to enter my house through my toilet so I've stopped flushing. It smells bad here.. The childern playing outside are really Nigerian scammers trying to steal my AARP membership number.

This organization is trying to sell insurance. We have tried several times to stop them form calling on our home line now they are calling my wife on her cell phone. Where they got that number I have no idea.
I called back, and got the message "we are unable to complete your call at this time, please try again later"
Called back again at 12:40, I was stupid and picked up. Recorded message about my car warranty.

Annoyed... Feb 19th, 2008
This company must be flush with money because I have gotten ailers from them many times over the past year... All with the same message... "your warrenty is about to expire...etc." This is the same recorded message I got on my cell # a few minutes ago, "press 3 to be taken off...". My concern is how they got my number in the first place. Secondarily is who they will now give it out to. Maybe a lawsuit can be arranged, harrassment, abusive calling. Beyond that the address of the company that is doing it, protests, fire bombs... etc.
Pre-recorded message to "warn" you that your auto warranty is about to expire. Bogus!
These people about the "warranty" call me several times a week, on different numbers. Anybody know how to get them to stop calling?
Keep getting this number once a day calling to my work number! Called back and goes to a dead dialtone. Really irritating!!
thay called 2-19-08 11:55 I dont know why there calling me I just got a new number and this call comes in I dont have any credit cards I am only 17 yrs old I guess thay are looking for the person who had this number.
Internet search suggests BWI Airport Express Shuttle Services of Waldorf, MD. However, message left apparently by automated calling operation about not taking the chance of driving without "the" warranty. Just $2 per day, blah blah blah. "Final courtesy call; punch 3 to be removed and 1 to talk to a rep."
Another in an increasing number of calls from unknown numbers that turn out to show up here on "whocalled". I don't answer, but I report it here.
240/210-7101. C&C Associates Fort Washington, MD per a google search. Area code is in MD. Just DON'T even answer! I pickup and hangup in an instance.

I believe this is one of the numbers used by Wolpoff & Abramson. As anyone who has had dealings with them knows, they are aggressive, arrogant, obnoxious, persistent and threatening.
