OK here it is. Got a call from the spoofed number stating they would reduce credit card interest rates. Pressed 1 to speak with someone. Listened to their little spill and its basically the same stuff. Heather from account services crap. The place Personal Data Systems is supposedly run by lawyers under the name My Consumer Law Group.com (Law Group PA). They want a piece of your pocket book by supposedly making payments to your credit card company on your behalf, but of course they would be paid. The office seems to be small with lots of noise in the back gound. They use spoofed numbers and were going to actually send me some BS info packet after I sent them a payment. I gave them a bogus SSN, address, name and date of birth. After listening to the sales pitch, I told him I was in law enforcement and why were they violating the Do Not Call list. Of course he said they weren't and they would be happy to remove me. I've heard they have a high turn over rate and of course they are a scam. I think I scared the daylights out of this guy by telling him what I knew. The calls won't stop because they'll have some other idiots calling you because of their high turn over rate. The only folks who can stop them are the FBI because they are calling across state lines. The FBI can work with Attourney Generals of other states. I'm sure they will change the number that they gave me but call 1-866-659-9866 and ask to speak with Calvin. I told him the entire conversation was being recorded and that the number was being traced. He was paralyzed with fear. What you can do is to record that message they leave on your phone, call them at 866-659-9866 and play the message back to them. They don’t like it very much.

Yet another bogus number showing up on caller ID. Funny they're almost ALWAYS from Florida. Instead of a name or location this one came as "not provided" on caller ID, which is a first for me. Usually it shows up as "unavailable." I won't answer so I hope they'll eventually give up.

I finish out the call so I can talk to a human, I ask that they take me off of their list and they hang up on me. I have tried to talk to them numerous times to stop calling and they keep doing it. What is the purpose?

If you're on the Do Not Call list every time you get a call from this number, and others they are using - I get calls from 3 or 4 different numbers daily, put in a complaint on their site or at www.800helpfla.com

I continually get these calls and detest them! I asked to be put onto the do not call list and was told that was not her department and she hung up.

This company ("Account Services") is notorious in various web blogs for their deviousness and their flaunting of the Do-Not-Call registery - I think the registry is WHERE they got my number in the FIRST place - However, this time I decided to answer and see what information I could get out of them. As others have reported, I was greeted by a recording tellling me they've been trying to reach me to tell me mytime was running out on my interest rate - blah, blah, balh and to press one to speak to an operator. So I did so. I then interrupted the lady's attempt to get my phone number, etc, and asked the name of their company. The female voice said "Account Services" - when I pressed for further information ("That's rather generic, Account Services for WHO?") she said "Account Services for Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card" - when I said that was too vague and asked where they were located she hurrridly hung up on me (DUH! Didn't want to get caught!)

This behavior is typical of reports against this company on various Internet Blogs.

Another thing, the number they called to reach me is not only on the Do-No-Call Registery, it is also a cell phone, so they commited TWO violations.

I have reported them before, as well as attempted to this time. Apparently the FTC - who is supposed to enforce the law - in more concerned with collecting their salaries and shoving complaints under the carpet - in fact, today their web site won't even accept compaints - you go to all the trouble to fill out their form and when you click "submit" a page comes up that simply says, "We are having trouble" - WELL DUH! Probably getting SWAMPED with complaints - I suspect the "submit" button realy means, "give in to the scammers, we're too da** busy to fight them." The FTC reports that the number of complaints is low - well DUH! If you CAN'T complain, it stands to reason that the number of complaits would BE low!

Well, this morning I had a face-to-face with Senator Bennett and voiced my ire that the Do Not Call Registry is apparenty a toothless dog, a paper tiger, and does nothing to earn their keep in this department - I suggested they be put on an "earn your way" basis- I then followed up with a lengthy request for assistance at his congressional web site - and suggested that the Do No Call registry become self sufficient on fines alone - that the list be made available for free to any legitimate business that wants to clean up their phone list as well as free to people who want to be listed on the registry. It will be interesting to see what resuts I get.

Meanwhile, I suggest that everybody write their Senators and Representatives and complain about the do-nothing do-not-call registry - I as unable to quickly locate current stats on how many complaints they have received or how many companies they have taken action against - the most current item I found was a whopping TWO - count them TWO - compaines that had been fined - $1.2 Million bucks - but what about the thousands of complaints? Not a word! NOT ONE! But the FTC website abounds with self praise for how well the system works - Well, DUH! THEY HAVE TO SAY THAT!

My suggestion is to input the phone number into your caller ID Data Base and then every time you get a call from them, don't answer, but report it to your Senators and Representatives - NOT to the FTC or even, as some have suggested, the FCC. Funny thing about politicans, they like to be seen as doing something good - while government employees who like to sit around and tell jokes or play games or surf porn would rather not be seen at ALL!

Caller ID read: Not Provided, followed by this phone #; gave option of pressing 1(for representative), 2(to lower credit card costs); pressed 1, got some chick on the phone who had the audacity to hang up on me when I asked her, "Where exactly are you calling from?"

Received a voice mail from this number (239-482-3803) today. Message said it was regarding a credit card account and instructed me to push a button to take advantage of a lower interest rate. It did not indicate a particular credit card company and was very suspicious. I deleted the message.

I also keep getting calls from this number. I called back once before and finally received a rep and asked that they stop calling and before I was able to get out "and remove me from your calling list" she hung up on me. Since then, they still continue to call me. Leave no message. I tried to call back and I too get the message that the number I called is no longer in service.

Guys...who are these people?!??! They call from various numbers, and even some weird numbers show up on my mobile phone!!! It's the same thing over and over, and when I try to press the number to speak with someone, they will hang up on you if you ask for them to remove you from their list.

If ANYONE has additional info on who these people are...that would be great!!!

you MUST call the FTC and report all these numbers as fraud. This is credit card fraud, they want your credit card number. I had them on the phone for 25 minutes and got them irate. They use computers to call and they need to be traced by law enforcement. Also call your phone company and have them trace the IP address. "Do not call" list doesnt work in this case
other related numbers are 904-259-4351, 239-482-3803,305-623-4459

FTC number is 877-382-4357

I know how you all feel as I am getting calls from this number constantly too. I have recorded an SIT wave and also am going to let the fax machine pick up on the second ring. They stop after the 3rd ring. They don't identify their name and their company name so they are breaking the law. I have reported their calls and I haven't seen nothing done about it. What good does the do not call list serve anyways when they don't protect us from these unwanted calls. I will also have a police whistle nearby when they come to the phone and blow as hard as I can- It will hurt their ears.

They called and left no msg. WHen I called back, I got a cheesy sounding "not in service" recording (yes, sounds like someone held their answering machine mic up to the phone)...obviously not an official message from the telephone company. Beware! We are on the do not call registry as well. Filed complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx Suggest you do the same.

Pressed 1 to talk to a representative. Asked to have this number removed they asked for my number I told them they called me so they must have my number their reply was if I wasn't gonna give them my number they couldn't remove it. The Do Not call list should be stopped since it is a waste of money for the government to keep up since it does no good.

An automated message offered to lower my credit card interest rates and said to push "1" to speak with a representative. (we receive this call 4x week)A male answers, "Card Services, which credit card would you like to have your rate lowered on?" When I asked to be removed from their list, he said, "Push 2, Push 2" and hung up on me. I tried to call the number back and it says the number is diconnected.

We are on all do not call lists.
