It's that boat horn again. I pressed the star key one time. Worked like a charm. I was told that due to my answers (none given) I did not qualify for the free boarding passes.

I answered all 10 questions (incorrectly) in order to get connected to an operator to get off their list. I'm really tired of hearing that boat horn. I was called a bitch and told to fucking shut up by some incredibly rude guy who talked over me the whole time I tried to point out that I am on a no call list. No one listening in for quality control there.

There does not appear to be any way to opt out from these calls - pressing "0" does not work, nor does any other number... no way to get to speak to a person to get off the list.

I got one of these - the number was withheld

Key phrases in the call include:

This is a public opinion poll. You will receive two free boarding passes for an all inclusive cruise to Nassau Bahamas

In agreement with this confirmation, you are responsible for a $59 per person US Governmental Port and Service Fee paid directly to the cruise line fulfilment centre.

Please note, this is a complementary offer - you have neither won this, nor is it a prize.

they won't let me remove myself off their calling list! one of their operators is on the line with me right now and she's blabbing on about how this is NOT a scam. she's saying that all you need to do is go to a mandatory time share presentation, but you are in no way forced to buy anything. she says they get their profit from this "promotion" from the 1 in 7 people who do purchase a time share and from profits at the casino's at their various destinations. she was soooo rude! as if i'm going to just be like "okay, now that you've been such a bitch over the phone, i've changed my mind and i would like to take your free cruise". uhg, if you call them back and just persist and persist that you want to be removed from their calling list, eventually they will give in. it took me like 10 minutes, but she finally said "fine, if you really want to be removed, we can do that." their toll free number is 1-800-519-7502

I got a call from this number but it didn't say anything about winning anything or any other typical telemarketer scam. The guy on the other end said he was a Pastor and was talking about Christmas Eve services tomorrow night. Thats as far as I let it get before I hung up. Sounded like it was automated anyways.

They have their sources to get your phone number (not necessarily by random). I was recently in Vegas and remembered filling out some contest form at the hotel i was staying in. This scam called me and was citing with information from the hotel card i filled out. Seems like these contests are not to be trusted either (even if it was just a random drawing to win a car or something).

I told the person I was on the Gov. Do No Call List. He said Yeh, sure you are. I asked him what company he represted and he told me to go fu** myself and don't call them again. I didn't call them. I called him a bold faced liar when he said I wasn't on the no call list.
They should have there Incorporation papers revoked and fined heavely for their language.

Telemarketer CTC Marketing takes over where Guardian Communications left off

231-224-2054 (CTC Marketing) illegal survey from
United Public Opinion Group.
Robert Johnson pres.
110 West 9th. Street Room 934
Wilmington, DE 19801.
302-661-1390

Call offers two free cruise tickets for answering ten questions. Many calls in violation of DNC laws in US and Canada.

231-224-2050 (Fremont MI / CTC Marketing) Pre-recorded calls about saving money on credit card interest rates. The operator would only say Accounts Management when I asked the name of the company. He said it was in the "DSW Area" Texas. He hung up when I asked for an address.

Still looking for information on CTC Marketing. It may be a fake name. It is definitely not the CTC marketing (Coast To Coast) that sells insurance in Michigan. If you have any info. on this company please post.
They also use 231-224-2056, 231-224-2058, 231-224-2057, 231-224-2053, 231-224-2051, 616-980-2196, 616-980-2188, 231-224-2055, 616-980-2191

Confirmed "scam." After the "call back" from one of their agents, this is what you will be told:

boarding in ft lauderdale.
within the next 18 months.
30-60 day notice prior to sail.
your own crewmate (for meals??).
8 meals/person/day. 24hr room service.
drinks not included.
to nasa bahamas.
port re-entry fee of 59$/person.

I was also told of an "optional" package that included some trip to Vegas. However, when transfered to the "supervisor" he requires the booking fee for that seemingly optional package, at $498.

I have called, confirmed, and reported this agency. It turns out, when you get there the $498 does not include all fees, you may be required to pay additional thousands in order to board the cruise. Once on the cruise, you are required to sit in on an hour long time share presentation that is mandatory.

This is a scam in the sense that you are not receiving a free all inclusive trip, it may be discounted it is however by no means free. I invite other Canadian residents to report this, should they receive a call:

Ditto. Opinion poll, 10 questions. Several mentions that you have "won" a free cruise, no creditcard required. They do ask you 2 questions about yout credit card (oddly both the same, do you have >3000 in debit on your credit cards). Then connected to a "live" agent who takes your name, number, postal code, and daytime phone number.
