Leave it to a den of snakes like NCO to rebrand some of its lawbreaking under a business name which sounds like an imported breath mint. Robert, I don't know where you get your "FTC rules". A debt collector must send ONE dunning letter within five days of the initial phone call, and that's if the alleged debtor has been identified. The sloppy skip tracing calls obviously don't need a paper trail.

If you are receiving repeated, misdirected, and/or abusive calls from a third party debt collector, you may find relief in the provisions of the FDCPA, the Federal law which regulates collector behavior and provides you simple tools for your own defense. It grants you control of how you are contacted, and collectors can be sued for their crimes. Learn your rights and first response tactics at FTC-dot-gov. See also your state laws for additional support.

Got two calls today, they were very rude. Gave a call back number for my husband 866-412-0732 ext.51542.They say there's an outstanding debt that was charged off in 1997. Said we had been paying on this, the last payment being late in 1997. 14 freakin' years ago. Over $20,000. still owed...we've never had the account they're talking about let alone made any payments on it. We don't owe this and they have no original contract signed by us. They are a collection agency, ZETA is an alias for NCO.They try to collect charged off debts using anyone's name they can find associated with yours...especially an X-spouse.

I have no idea who these people are. I got a call from NCO Financial yesterday morning at 8:30 and now today at 9:00 am from them. I had no idea who it was so I didn't pick up the phone. They called my cell phone and just like Stinnett, I too am on the no call list. According to Donna, these people from Zenta Limited are the same assholes using NCO Financial.

I don't owe any money to anyone or owe money on anything. I have paid all my credit cards off, paid my student loans off and I paid off my truck and since I have the title to it, I own it. So I have absolutely no frggin idea who the hell they are or what the hell they want.

They keep it up and Stinnett and I are going on a little road trip together, find these assholes and put them in the hurt locker.

this company is calling my parents, of all people; attempting to collect a debt owed (apparently) by my husband's first wife, whom he divorced in 1994. Bottom feeders!! and they have the gall to say that the number was given to them as a contact for this woman, as her residence!!!

There is a statue of limitation to collect debts. Check your local State to see what the time frame is. They must provide you with a Debt Validation letter. If unsure about the debt, ask for the validation letter.

I received a call from NCO (never heard of this company, but) according to them I owe over $1100.00 to Sears from a Sears credit card since 1994 and used the card until 1999. don't have a Sears card, dont' want a Sears card, didn't use a Sears card. This guy tells me that I also had just made a $200.00 payment and wants to set up a payment plan !!!!. Well if I just made a $200.00 payment why the hell would he have to set up a payment plan. Now the good stuff, when I ask for documention regarding this "card" I was told that he didn't have anything with my singture and that he didn't know if the info. would arrive at my house -what- If these are the type of people Sears uses to collect bad debits I dont want anything to do with Sears, their charge system or their products.
