If you get a call from "Warranty Help Desk", it is actually just a front for "Vehicle Services Inc" (www.vsiwarranty.com), which is selling fradualent auto insurance policies underwritten by Consumer Direct Warranty Services and several other companies. IF YOU WANT THESE CALLS TO STOP, YOU MUST FILE A COMPLAINT WITH BOTH THE FCC AND FTC. The FCC allows consumers to file a complaint whether or not your number is in the "Do Not Call" registry. The FCC complaint website is at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. FTC complaints do require that your number be listed in "Do Not Call" for at least 30 days before you can complain. The FTC complaint website is at https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. BE WARNED that Vehicle Services Inc. does NOT have ANY relationship with the manufacturer of your car; in fact they don't even know if you really own a car! They randomly call thousands of phones per day, hoping to con people into buying an "extended vehicle warranty". These warranties are NEVER a good deal for the consumer. For instance, I'm in the car business so I told them my year/make/model was a certain car I know to be worth less than $1000 (trade-in/private sale/insurance replacement). They tried to sell me an "extended warranty" on it for $2800.

So, in the age of technology we're in, we can't track these callers down and then publically shoot them in the head? For shame. If you have a problem with me, call me at one of the following numbers: 215-230-9706 218-682-2744 251-947-8966 304-369-0968 309-286-2082 425-391-6476 425-869-6371 503-864-3213 505-327-2741 509-926-6276 517-931-2251 605-462-6063 773-665-4227 800-219-7425 802-525-4519 815-235-7297 817-444-5194 817-569-9576 843-281-8793 866-542-6911 978-409-5210

This is a 'car warranty about to expire' scam. i actually talked to one guy - he was in South Africa. They have apparently found a way to use disconnected ph#'s as a source, to bypass the (mostly) cell phone autodialer blocking systems. They must have paid congress a bunch to keep the FCC off their butts.
does it matter

the phone call originates from a local college outside of philadelphia. they have been calling for months. most likely a prank by an immature college student.

I've got a phone call from them, too.
I pressed "1" to talk to one of their reps. and
they asked me if I wanted to extend a manufacture warranty on my car.
They couldn't answer which vehicle of mine they were talking about.

Be careful to the Scam!

After pressing 1 or 2 (to say I wanted to talk to somebody) a man identifying himself as Shawn came on the line. He would only admit to being from "warranty help desk" and would give very little other information. He claimed that he was the supervisor and he would not give me a last name. I told him to place me on their do not call list (which I have done before). This is the second time I have gotten through to a person after being called by this automated warranty sales service multiple times.

I have gotten at least 50 of these calls. Call your members of Congress and complain. There are no laws to stop the calls. WHY?
